Sarge, that is part of the problem today with most pastor's. They stopped preaching about what happens when you don't accept Jesus plan of salvation. Wish that kind would come back, that is what we all need. Put the fear of hell in you.

I have many friends who are catholic, good people, just can't seem to make them understand how wrong they are in their beliefs. They pray to the dead, thinking that Saint so and so is going to help them, praying to Mary. Mary is dead, she cannot hear them either. Hope that the blinders will be removed so they can see how wrong they are.
Exactly, just like the story if the beggar and the rich man. The beggar died and went to heaven, and the richh man died and went to hell. The rich man wanted the beggar to just dip his finger in water to cool his tongue as he was in agony in the fire. Luke 16:19-31. Jesus teaches in this parable that heaven and hell are real places. Once we cross the eternal horizon, there is no someone praying, or paying you into Heaven. No more chances, the moment we die. The rich man asked to have someone to tell his brothers about this horrible place from which there is no escape. No one can do that after you are dead. Best give your life to Jesus and live for him than thinking you can do wh**ever you want and have someone pray you into Heaven. There is no purgatory!
Pappa, right on it. There is no purgatory in the Bible anywhere. You can't get prayed into heaven, God's word says once you die, you face judgement. Sorry all the Catholics believe that lie. My daughter got into a heated discussion over that same topic. She told her friend to show her in God's word where it was, and of course she couldn't do it.

I paid into it all my working years, and don't get much anyway, then no raises, while Odumbo was in office. The thing that upsets me is all these newscasters, both Repub, and democraps calling it an entitlement.
