Protests In Mexico As Locals Agree With Trump: ’This is an invasion!

Residents of Tijuana are not happy about the migrant caravan that has stalled in the city.

Hundreds came out to protest, with many of them echoing the sentiments of President Trump.

“Donald Trump was right, this is an invasion! What Donald Trump said was correct: this is an invasion!” said one protester.

NPR reports that a majority of the protesters fear that the caravan will receive help from he Mexican Government, giving federal funds to those who entered the country illegally and don’t intend to stay long enough to give back.

“Tijuana is a place that welcomes anyone, but you must have papers, you must identify yourself,” said demonstrator Magdalena Baltazar. “The government shouldn’t be giving things to migrants when plenty of Mexicans are in a difficult position.”

Already some migrants are complaining about the free aid they are receiving with one woman claiming they were being fed like “pigs.”

Currently the Mexican government has no made any official announcements on the matter.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) warned in an interview with Fox & Friends Tuesday that Republicans have just over a month to secure border wall funding before the Democrats take over the House in the new year.

A partial transcript is as follows:

JEDEDIAH BILA: Jim, I want to ask you about funding for the border wall. Many people on the right [are] deeply, deeply concerned Republicans will not dig their heels in on this. There’s already been potential talk about a government shutdown. How do you see this playing out? Will Republicans be strong on this issue?

REP. JORDAN: We had better be. The most important issues are the Rosenstein issue, in my mind, the Rosenstein issue I just talked about and building the border security wall and securing the southern border. We’ve seen what’s happened in the last couple of days. That was the biggest promise that the Republicans made the v**ers in 2016. We had better fight for that. We had better put it in the December 7th funding bill. Again, that is the single issue that the American people elected Republicans to accomplish in 2016 and we’ve got five weeks to get it done.

BRIAN KILMEADE: But your problem is in the Senate, Mitch McConnell is indifferent about it and there’s no push to get 60 [v**es].

REP. JORDAN: We’ve got to insist on it. We’ve got to push for it. That’s why they left the Department of Homeland Security bill. That’s the one bill we haven’t funded yet, the one agency we haven’t funded. Let’s put it on that bill. This is exactly what we are supposed to do. This is exactly what we told the American people we were going to do. Let’s stand firm. Let’s make the argument. The things that have happened in the last few weeks with this caravan, everyone understands this needs to get done, so let’s get it done.

When former President Barack Obama traded five Taliban leaders for an American deserter, Republicans warned that they would be back in the fight before you knew it. They were right – a news report shows that all five of the terrorists that Obama set free are back working hard for the Taliban.

Obama – and his Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper – agreed, signed off on the deal, and let the Taliban Five go – shipping them off to Qatar on May 31, 2014.

In fact, Obama was so eager to get them out of Guantanamo Bay that he broke a “clear and unambiguous” law to set them free, according to the Government Accountability Office.

Patriots were outraged and warned the freed prisoners would go back to combating U.S. soldiers.

“The five terrorists released were the hardest of the hard-core,” Senator Lindsey Graham wrote in a 2014 letter asking the Senate Armed Services Committee to investigate the t***sfer.

An “insurgent” spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, told the paper, “We confirm that Mullah Muhammad Fazel Mazlum, Mullah Noorullah Noori, Mullah Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa and Master Muhammad Nabi Omari have been appointed members of the political office in Qatar.”

The shocking part isn’t that Graham knew these Taliban terrorists would terrorize Americans again – he always had a good track record sizing up jihadists.

The most jaw-dropping thing is that Obama knew it, too – and didn’t care!

Obama told a news conference in 2014, “Is there a possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us?”

“Absolutely,” Obama admitted. “That’s been true of all the prisoners that were released from Guantanamo. There’s a certain recidivism rate that takes place.”

Obama knew the dangers they posed to America all along. A 2010 report from his own intelligence agencies warned him that at least one out of every four terrorists sprung from Gitmo returned to the battlefield – and the numbers have only gone up since then.

As of September, 224 former Gitmo detainees had rushed back to their old life of terrorizing innocent men, women, and children – or trying to k**l U.S. troops. That’s 30 percent of all the 729 detainees released.

And thanks to the last Democratic president, the number of terrorists working hard to defeat the United States just increased by another five.

Democrat’s political position on the caravan just went from bad to worse.

Candidates across the country were taking on water because Americans know they want to throw the borders open to the migrant caravans.

But now Barack Obama told one big lie about the caravan and Democrats are left running for the lives.

It was clear the stress of Donald Trump erasing his failed legacy had worn on him.

Obama launched into a tirade filled with lies and smears.

“The real reason I came down to Miami is because this Tuesday might be the most important e******n of our lifetimes. Politicians will always say that. But this time it’s actually true. The stakes really are that high. The consequences of any other staying home really are more dangerous,” Obama began.

Then Obama went totally off the rails.

He ranted and raved about how Donald Trump and the Republicans just made stuff up.

“We all try to put a positive spin on things, but what we have not seen the way we are seeing right now is politicians just blatantly, repeatedly, baldly, shamelessly lie. Just making stuff up. That’s what they’re doing now all the time. By the way, it’s not the first time. They do this every e******n cycle. Try to terrify folks and then the e******n comes and problem suddenly magically vanishes,” Obama yelled.

Americans laughed at Obama’s claims.

Obama was the President whom Politifact cited for telling the “lie of the year” when he said Obamacare would let you keep your doctor.

Millions of Americans saw their health plans canceled when they did not meet Obamacare’s Soviet-style mandates.

But Obama saved his biggest lie for last.

Obama lashed into Trump and the GOP for wanting to stop the migrant caravan invasion.

“…Now in 2018 they’re telling you the existential threat to America is a bunch of poor refugees a thousand miles away. They’re even taking our brave troops away from their families for a political stunt at the border,” he added.

“Don’t be Charlie Brown. Don’t fall for the okey doke. Don’t be bamboozled. Don’t be hoodwinked. Because when you get distracted, while you’re distracted with all this stuff they’re making up, they’re also robbing you blind. It will be like, look, look, look over there, and then they’re giving tax cuts to billionaires,” Obama added.

The caravan represents a major threat to America.

A Pew poll found 58 percent of people in El Salvador would move to America if they could.

If Democrats succeed in throwing the borders wide open, the U.S. will face an influx of migrants the country has never seen before.

Stopping the caravan and denying the migrants entry into America will deter future caravans.

This is a test.

And Obama is lying by underselling how dangerous the caravan really is.

ISIS is something you don’t hear about much anymore.

When Obama was in office, they had free reign to gain control of much of the Middle East.

They were a major threat to the world and something that should have been taken seriously.

But Obama spent his time apologizing to the world, instead of leading.

So when Trump took office, there was a lot for him to do.

And he has reversed that, and the world respects us again.

Trump is destroying ISIS across the Middle East.

He is making use of precision strikes to destroy ISIS infrastructure.

And it is making a huge difference.

ISIS no longer has even close to the power they had with Obama in office.

But with this new change, they are adapting.

They are not gone, they are simply changing tactics.
The Pentagon Drops A Terrifying Warning About ISIS

A government watchdog report out of the Pentagon sheds some light on what ISIS is up to.

They currently hold very little territory.

But they continue to terrorize the Middle East with insurgent attacks.

They are remaining surprisingly effective with those attacks.

But they are far from what they were a few years ago.

Another major threat that ISIS poses is through “sleeper cell agents.”

In territory they no longer control, sleeper cells are working to slip under the radar.

They are going to live rather normal lives, staying undetected.

But with time, they will be a good position to plant efficient attacks.

With this being ISIS’s new tactics, it should be the U.S. on edge.

If they are planning to do this within their former territory, what could stop them from trying to do the same in the U.S.?
Foreign Terrorists On U.S. Soil

It is not unfathomable to think that ISIS could have sleeper cells in the U.S.

A recent scandal exposes Iranians for running a spy operation in the U.S.

So far two have faced arrest for just that.

Their arrest is for spying on Jewish and Israeli facilities in California.

And a congressman believes it is just the tip of the iceberg.

Rep. Peter Roskam believes there are many more Iranian spies.

He contends Iran has multiple spies stationed in the U.S.

Their job is to conduct surveillance to support the Iranian government.

The information is likely used to support terrorism.

They are likely using similar tactics to ISIS in their former territory.

There is no way to have formal operations in the U.S.

If they tried to establish them, they wouldn’t last long.

So instead they may be trying to live like anybody else.

Fitting in their communities, or just staying quiet.

This is how past terrorists behaved on U.S. soil.

Sunday was the 17th anniversary of the start of the longest war in American history: the Afghanistan War. When Operation Enduring Freedom kicked off on Oct. 7, 2001, in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, few would have thought we’d still be there fighting the Taliban nearly two decades later. Heck, I doubt I thought we’d still be fighting today when deploying there myself “only” 10 years ago this month.

But here we are, engaged in a forever war in which the generals seem to have no plausible “theory of victory” and the Taliban remain stubbornly resistant to capitulating to our demands. It is a war that we ought to end honorably through a negotiated settlement with our opponents—or even by unilaterally declaring success, and prudently but surely coming home.

It isn’t as if American troops haven’t fought bravely or k**led many very bad men. Rather quickly after our invasion, the United States pushed the Taliban government out of power and into hiding. During the first decade of the fight, we decimated al-Qaeda’s leadership, including the just and emotionally satisfying k*****g of Osama bin Laden. Georgetown University professor Daniel Byman concluded last year that there is “good reason to be optimistic that al-Qaeda’s decline is for real and might even be permanent.” One could argue that we accomplished everything we needed to after 9/11.

Yet we are still mired in the Afghan conflict after spending billions of dollars on nation-building, spilling lots of American blood in the process, all in hopes of achieving the ephemeral goals of imposing democracy and creating a better Afghanistan (with a little counter-narcotics to boot). While the original mission was necessary and righteous, this expanded counterinsurgency mission is unnecessary and wasteful. It has dearly cost families and communities who have suffered due to long deployments and, in the worst cases, the loss of our fine soldiers.

Given that we’ve been fighting for nearly two decades and are strategically adrift, it isn’t surprising that Americans—including veterans—question the wisdom of remaining in Afghanistan. Many are questioning our overall approach to foreign policy and the extent to which we ought to be militarily engaged in the world.

The Charles Koch Institute recently partnered with RealClearPolitics to poll civilians and veterans/active military members about where our country stands on America’s longest war and U.S. foreign policy more broadly. What we found suggests that President Trump’s instincts regarding Afghanistan are in tune with the mood of the American public—and that he might want to listen to those instincts rather than the wishful-thinking “experts” who argue for staying the course.

Let’s start with how Americans have viewed our efforts to date. Relatively few Americans think our military engagement in Afghanistan has been working. Only 21 percent of Americans—and only 24 percent of veterans—say the war has been successful. Thirty-five percent of Americans and nearly 40 percent of veterans think the war has been unsuccessful, with the rest not knowing or saying it has been neither successful nor unsuccessful. And 53 percent of Americans—and nearly 60 percent of veterans—believe that the United States lacks a clear strategic objective in Afghanistan, and only 15 percent of the public believes we do—this after being there for 17 years!

The perception that we haven’t been successful following the original mission’s accomplishments and have no clear strategic objective going forward has probably led many Americans to reconsider support for the initial invasion. The largest percentage of those polled—39 percent—thought it was a mistake to send troops to Afghanistan in 2001. Only 30 percent said it had been the correct choice, and a whopping 31 percent said they don’t know. This is disturbing, considering that it was a just and necessary war in the wake of 9/11. Even the most cautious foreign policy experts favored the invasion and understood the importance of meeting our primary war aims there, myself included.

So, what do Americans think we ought to do now? About half of us, 51 percent, say it’s time to decrease Afghanistan troop levels or to remove all troops from the country in the next 12 months. This figure rises even higher over a five-year period. And if the president decided to remove all troops from Afghanistan, 57 percent of Americans, including 69 percent of military veterans, said they would support such a move.

More broadly, and consistent with past polling we’ve done, Americans also question our current approach to U.S. foreign policy. The largest percentage of people, 43 percent, think we should be less militarily engaged in the world, with nearly 20 percent of Americans responding that we should be much less militarily engaged.

The president would be wise to pay more attention to the American people’s realistic assessment of the war in Afghanistan and our military role in the world generally. It’s past time for the United States to make a more serious effort to negotiate an end to the conflict in Afghanistan. Ultimately, the president should withdraw all or nearly all U.S. troops while maintaining the ability to see and eliminate any anti-American terrorist groups with the capability and intent to hit our shores. Given that we are $21 trillion in debt and should be piv****g out of the Middle East to focus on higher priority missions, like deterring great power conflict, we can’t afford to maintain the status quo. The last thing we need is another expensive security dependent that bleeds our treasury and puts our bravest unnecessarily in harm’s way.
