The history of the Anglo-Saxons is the history of a cultural identity, and how this developed from divergent groups, grew with the adoption of Christianity, was used in the establishment of various kingdoms and indeed the United States.

If you are of Anglo Saxon descent consider the term...."Anglosphere "....and be very proud.

Yes indeed: There is something special about the cultural and legal traditions of English-speaking nations:

The Anglosphere, as a network civilization without a corresponding political form, has necessarily imprecise boundaries. Geographically, the densest nodes of the Anglosphere are found in the United States and the United Kingdom. English-speaking Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and English-speaking South Africa (who constitute a very small minority in that country) are also significant populations. The English-speaking Caribbean, English-speaking Oceania and the English-speaking educated populations in Africa and India constitute other important nodes.

Countries that were formerly part of the British Empire but currently not a member of the Commonwealth countries formerly under United States rule or influence that have adopted English as one of their main languages

A challenge to consider, will be an increasing gap between anglophone prosperity and economic struggles elsewhere.

British historian Andrew Roberts claims that the Anglosphere has been central in the First World War, Second World War and Cold War. He goes on to contend that anglophone unity is necessary for the defeat of Islamism.

According to a 2003 profile in The Guardian, historian Robert Conquest favoured a British withdrawal from the European Union in favour of creating "a much looser association of English-speaking nations, known as the 'Anglosphere'"

New Zealand historian James Belich connected patterns of growth in the industrialisation of the United States and the United Kingdom with former D******ns of the British Empire New Zealand, Australia, Canada and South Africa, and more loosely to growth in former UK constituent country Ireland, as well as British-allied Argentina, during the 19th and early to mid-20th century, in his book Replenishing the Earth. He used the term "Anglo-World" to refer to the US, UK and former D******ns, arguing that the experience and present reality of former British colonies like India, Kenya and Jamaica differ in substantial and important ways from this core group. Could that have anything to do with the predominate race and religion? -- and -- the current degradation of the U.S. under our current president and "chief of crummy crap".

Two things:

First. This is an excellent thread to encourage all readers consider joining the NRA.... It is only $25.00 and you get that money back in benefits.

Here is the link:

Which begs this question

What logic(if any) is used when liberals want to restrict Americans rights by requiring them to register themselves with the government before they can purchase a firearm - vs - their cries against requiring Americans to register in order to cast a v**e in local or national e******ns.

A double standard?

Operated by a loud mouthed ignoramus and runs on hot air? That's easy-Faux "news"!

It appears since I asked for an individuals name on the watercraft, (by example) and since themadb****smith wanted to name it after a licensed corporation, (Fox News) that he associates corporations as being people.

Imagine that.

I am describing two vessels.

The first is a huge ship which can land and launch war airplanes. This one is the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76)

The second is a little ten foot john boat. Affixed to the bow are two teleprompters.

Behind the teleprompters is a sail designed to provide propulsion by capturing hot air.

Behind the sail is a loud mouthed ignoramus who loves to blow hot air.

Behind him is a spout of water shooting to the sky - signifying a serious link as his boat settles by the stern.

Can you name the second boat?

Consider = Ignorance can be defined as poor judgement derived from lack of knowledge.

Stupid= is defined in most instants as being not ignorant on a subject but choosing to ignore the knowledge and rile against it anyway.

So when you consider 'stupid' liberals think of the poor souls who self-define themselves as 'stupid liberals'.

What was that applicable saying 'stupid is as stupid does'? They v**ed and still support the likes of Obama.

Ghost, I feel for you buddy, If I lived in such a crappy part of the country, I would fall into a deep depression. I am sympathetic to your problems and truly grateful that that is not the case where I am at. Wishing you tons of luck and hoping the recovery will soon reach you... Hang in there my man, it is working out...

Well thank you permafrost. I appreciate your concern.
Fortunately my wife and I have three homes, One in Florida, One in the NC Smoky mountains and the third in Franklin TN. All three impacted by the socialist utopia but still representing the more affluent. It is for the less fortunate among us that my concern bubbles up.

I would point out that NC (The worse hit) has been controlled by the Democrats since reconstruction. Only in the last midterm did the Republicans get control, and you should hear the liberal Democrats howl, like a pen full of swine.

We also own a forty foot diesel motor coach and enjoy traveling around the country. It is from this perspective that I reported on the towns we have driven through and the destruction to the American dream since Obama and the liberal Democrats took over and moved the country into a socialist model of their dreams.

Hit the hardest is the upper Midwest. Cities in PA, IL, MD, NJ, NY etc. You get the idea. The very people who v**ed for what they now reap.

Just pathetic is it not?

I have even seen four local doctors close their office and move out of the county. Our local hospital (a really nice one - paid for by our tax dollars) is just one step away from declaring bankruptcy, due in great part to the drain of offering free medical support to citizens who do not have health insurance, or cannot pay the high deductibles.

In the meantime President Obama (and his family) has taken another multi-million dollar vacation this week. Just another vacation paid for with your tax money. (which money you are forced to pay in one form or another)

Time to stop this idiocy and start replacing Democrats all over this country.

Yes. This county has been run by Democrats for years and years. So many locals are yellow dog Democrats, and they are the ones who are the first to lose their pants in this economy.

br I have even seen four local doctors close thei... (show quote)

Here is a cut and paste from my local newspaper... read it for yourself.

A burgeoning debt load, a lackluster economy that doubled the amount of charity care and the failure to adjust staffing ratios to patient numbers were major factors in the difficult times faced by ****** Regional Medical Center, according to documents made public last week.

Duke *******, a Nashville, Tennessee, based partnership between Duke and *******Hospitals, operates more than 65 community hospitals across the nation. The for-profit company has offered to purchase ****** Health System's principal units, **** and ******* facilities.

The details of the ******** purchase are not public, but the ****** sale agreement, which is subject to public review since the hospital's operating authority was organized as a public nonprofit entity, can be found on the county's website and will ...

Do you know of a local restaurant which has closed their doors, laid off their workers, packed up what they could into storage, turned off the lights, boarded up the window and now the building has a 'for-sale' sign on the front door?

I can think of three in my little home town which have done just that in the last three months. They were fine little operations, but the local people have had to cut back on their disposable income expenditures and are sitting at home and eating out less. The end result is a personal trauma for much more than the normal patrons who will have to go somewhere else..... Consider the direct impact.

Not only did the owners (who risked their own money and put in long hours) lose out, so did the employees who were struggling from paycheck to paycheck... Then what about the other businesses which sold the restaurant food and supplies -- will their employes feel the loss of business also. Maybe you or your family.

Yes. If you believe that Obama and his ilk have (and are) creating a socialist utopia, then why not take a little drive.

While you are driving about check out all the business which has gone out of business since Obama took over.

Think (if you can) of the heartbreak, lost savings and efforts put into those failed business and the humans who had their dreams crushed by this grand socialist utopia fiasco.

How many boarded up store fronts and 'For Sale' signs will you find if you don't avert your eyes and really go out and look for them?

Go ahead, take that drive.

Come back here and report while sharing the stories from your little corner of the world.

I double dog dare you!
