I do grow my own garden and had the best year ever for tomatoes. I’ve got probably 40 gallons so far and they’re going strong. I take them to work and give them away.

Hey 66, good to have you on board, buckle the seat belt, sit back and have fun. Watch the women here, they will feed you so many goodies until you burst. Mike

I’m up for that. I do most of the cooking here so I’m always interested, if you were speaking literally. And, thanks. I’ve been reading the threads for quite awhile but I thought I might as well jump into the pool myself

Correct. Rauner likes state sponsored murder and state-approved murderers.

Today's women are the unique class-- the only class in this country with a license to k**l.

Agreed. It’s too bad that the women that have had a******ns that now live with the nightmares and crushing regret don’t seem to get to have a voice. My wife had her a******n when she was 16 a******n and now she’s 47 and there’s nights she still wakes up screaming for her baby. She was a counselor at a crisis pregnancy center which helped both her clients and herself a great deal. Just when I don’t think my state can sink any lower, they find a way to lower the bar. I love my state, I’m disgusted with the people pretending to govern it

Congratulations Illinoians.
GGot a relative in Rockport.

Oh Rahmbo fits right in there in Chicago. I live downstate myself and have been told that people from Chicago consider everything below interstate 80 to be Kentucky anyway. The most I can hope for is that eventually either the Chicago machine will implode under its own weight or Chicago will sink back into the swamp that it’s built upon. I end up having to go there about once a year and that’s too much. I live out in the woods and I like it there.

I’m not sure what the solution for Illinois is. My family has lived here at the same farm since 1855 so Im kind of tied here. I just don’t know what is going to happen. We don’t have any good choices. We are the baseline for how state corruption is measured.

Well, Indiana is in good shape. They have a budget surplus. Possibly because a lot of businesses from Illinois have moved there to take advantage of the more attractive tax rate and the greatly reduced corruption. I’ve talked to a number of people from the border states and every time I offer them Chicago to go to their state, no one wants it. Can’t say I blame them.

I think he will run until he’s dead. Then, he will still v**e. I was surprised that his daughter Lisa chose to not stay in.

Good afternoon, everyone. This is my first posting, but I’ve been reading this forum for quite some time and I think I have a feel for the personalities here. I am from the sad state of Illinois with a couple of grown daughters a a couple of grandkids. I do a fantastic barbecue and do enjoy some fishing when I have opportunity. I do have strong opinions on the usual topics and will attempt to be polite, but as a whole you guys have been very informative and a lot of fun to get to know. I look forwards to adding to the comments
