Media Abstain from Reporting CDC Abstinence Change


When it comes to the phrasing of a message, two words can make all the difference.

Last week, the CDC made a subtle change in the “Prevention Methods” section of its annual Sexually T***smitted Diseases Treatment report released June 5. Whereas abstinence had once been recommended as “a” reliable way to prevent the t***smission of STDs, the report now calls it “the most” reliable way.

So, why are these two words so important? And why did the mainstream media fail to even mention the change?

Well, simply put, abstinence-based sex education is not popular; in fact, it’s vilified by the media. Instead, they advocate sexual liberalism, mentioning abstinence as though it were a quaint anachronism. For heaven’s sake, who expects people to control themselves anymore?

In 2014, U.S. media fawned over a Canadian high-school student who filed a human rights complaint about the abstinence-only sex education at her public high school. Just last month, The Huffington Post published an article by David Pakman called “Hero Judge Rules Abstinence-Only Sex Education Isn’t Actually Sex Education.” According to Pakman’s show, abstinence-only sex ed is “almost like preaching ignorance.”

Ignorance, hm? Well, according to a 2013 report by the CDC, the U.S. deals with 20 million new cases of STDs per year, costing over $15 billion. Is it ignorant to promote the most effective method to stem the tide of this STD epidemic? When the liberal message is that wh**ever feels good is right, that’s anathema. It’s just too bad that what starts out feeling good often ends in a painful STD.


Yes, I know. No Body but No Body past the age of 12 abstains from having sex, no matter what the consequences are. Particularly when the schools are teaching techniques and telling kids it is their "right" to have sex early and often.

Summer R**ts Are Coming…Unless!

This Memorial Day weekend marked a historic uptick in violence in many US cities. Three cities seem to symbolize our national woes the most - Baltimore, Chicago, and Ferguson. In Baltimore 9 people were k**led and 29 shot. Chicago marked 12 k**led and 44 wounded. The police in Baltimore and the other cities seem to be moving with unprecedented caution. Further, self initiated policing has slowed down significantly. The morale of law enforcement officers is at a decadal low. Therefore, both violent and petty crimes may flourish in several “hot spot” cities this summer. In Ferguson, sky rocketing crime rates continue despite greater civic involvement by citizens and a massive change in municipal personnel. Law enforcement seems to be becoming more difficult in key cities.

Does the violence in these cities mark the unofficial beginning of a new season of urban violence? Is this the beginning of the worst season of both r**ting and lawlessness the US has seen since 1968 after the assassination of Dr. King? Last September I wrote that r**ting in DC was possible after the Ferguson r**ts broke out in August 2014. I had no idea that there would be such a dramatic increase in both incendiary rhetoric and demonstrations. Our cities are still vulnerable to problems and r**ts. 175 metro areas supported the “hands up don’t shoot” initiative and 50 cities protested the death of Eric Garner with “I can’t breathe“ demonstrations. A myriad of cell phone videos from South Carolina to Mckinney, Texas have started to erode public respect for our policemen. There is no reason why there will not be more r**ts and spontaneous violence this summer - except for the grace of God.

We can turn this bus around, though! But it must be done very decisively and strategically. Smoldering “urban anger” is still burning. This is not just a race problem. There is interplay between class, poverty, and race. When all three of these things converge, people feel disenfranchised and excluded from the American dream.

As I discuss urban tensions at the water cooler or with my friends around the country, I find that black friends sometimes blame w****s and invisible social barriers. W****s often declare that everything goes back to family break down or a lack of respect for authority. The family structure declaration is a great analysis but offers no immediate steps of action to mitigate the problems before us.

Part of the answer to the problem has to do with healing the huge sense of outrage and injustice that is felt among impoverished urban dwellers. Much has been said in the news about the debate concerning criminal justice reform. Many people believe that we are simply addressing problems of policing when we use the term “Criminal Justice Reform”. The t***h of the matter is that there are a myriad of minor adjustments to our systems that could create a greater sense of justice and peace in urban America.

Part of our dilemma is that we live in a society that is quick to label and stigmatize. Similarly, we can be slow to extend the hand of restoration, acceptance, and forgiveness. There are over 65 million Americans with a criminal record in the US today. Over 70 percent of ex-offenders have committed non- violent crimes.

Once these people have served their time, they need to have an opportunity for redemption and to restore their lives. They need a shot at achieving their God given potential. Eric Garner of New York was an excellent example of someone who was just not going to submit to being arrested again. His experiences with the legal system and his dealings with police no doubt entered into his decision to “buck authority” in Staten Island on the fateful day of his death.

To avoid urban r**ts this summer we need three things urgently:

1.) Regional prayer gatherings that make an appeal to heaven for justice and divine intervention.

2.) Summer jobs for urban youth.

3.) Grass roots leaders need to come together and create local strategies to make their communities safer.

After 20 years in the fast lane, country star Tim McGraw says his latest hit is about something that matters most to him: a place to call home.

McGraw recently landed his 50th top 10 hit with “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s,” a song he performs with his wife of 17 years, Faith Hill. In an exclusive interview with NBC’s Cynthia McFadden, McGraw talked about his appreciation of home and family...

Still McGraw agreed to sit down while performing in Dallas to call attention to cause very close to his heart: providing homes for veterans who need them. Over the past several years McGraw used his celebrity to make a difference in the lives of others, teaming up with Chase and Operation Homefront to award mortgage-free homes to veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Families selected for the program have two years to prove they can handle the responsibilities of homeownership, then are given the home free and clear.

“It doesn’t matter what side of the fence you call on, what your politics are,” McGraw explains, standing on the empty stage at Dallas’ Gexa Energy Pavilion on a sweltering night, “What matters is these guys go out and take care of our butts.”

Most wetbacks refuse to assimilate. An Asian or African immigrant will come to this country legally, and in ten years, will speak English fluently and probably have a good job.
A wetback will still be unable to speak English, and still be on welfare and food stamps.
These people are not starry-eyed immigrants in search of the American Dream, they are beady-eyed freeloaders in search of the American handout.
For nearly one hundred and fifty years, honest, decent Mexicans have been crossing the border, staying a day, week, or month, doing their legitimate business and going home. These people are not, nor have they ever been the problem.
The ones who sneak in, or come legally and ignore their expired Visas, the ones who begin s**mming the system as soon as they are on US soil, do not deserve amnesty. They deserve deportation, after a mini-vacation on a road gang somewhere making little ones out of big ones.
They are criminals by virtue of coming here with the intent of s**mming Uncle Sugar for every dime they can. They have no desire to become US citizens, unless it is citizenship of Los Estados Unidos de Mexico del Norte con Estampillas de Comida.
