Hey! I just ran across it and thought it to be interesting. Did you even bother to read it or just criticize the source?

Since when has Obama done anything about terrorism? Seems to me that all Obama is capable of is to talk about things. When it comes to action virtually nothing gets done.
That holds even up to today!

Yes, It is absolutely the most important thing that needs to be addressed by Congress, Curb excess spending.

Tasine wrote:
Your concerns exactly mirror MY concerns. Every bucket our federal government dips into, it finds more ways to contaminate it and eventually k**l it. If Congress isn't STOPPED from wasting our money, we are in deep trouble, and NOTHING has ever slowed their mania for excess spending.

A 0.14 or even 0.25% "tax" on bank t***sactions would not hurt anyone that I can think of. Eliminating the income tax would benefit everyone. If that is what is proposed it sounds like the very best possible solution to our woes.

Iagree Winter Solstice. This sounds like a possibly good idea. Imagin though when our greedy carreer politicians realize there is a very large "bucket" they can pull from. The problem is we cannot consider something new like this with the mindset that drives our current government. That needs to change first. Here in California when we v**ed in the lottery that was supposed to help the schools, it sounded great, but the politicians who realized that California now has this new found money to fund the schools, they took the original school budget and used it elsewhere. So we never really experienced the added funds to our school districts. The same could happen with any new idea on how to fund the federal government. The government would grow, but the people woud not experience the results.

I am with you on the FED. It is not even a legal organization. It is composed of unscrupulous bankers who have only one goal, to get richer.
When they print money it does increase the money supply, reduce the value of our money and fuel inflation. Let us toss the FEED out and go back to Lincoln's Greenback currency. It was printed and controlled by our Government and during the time it was used as our currency we had no depressions, only good times. Then in 1913, the FED got its hands back on out money supply and the depressions began once again. (Depressions are when the FED Bankers get richer.)
Toss the FED out.

If he is saying that we "tax" every bank t***saction at 0.14% and eliminate our tax load I am all for it under the condition that the "tax" starts and stays a FLAT TAX. Absolutely every bank t***saction is now and will always be "taxed" at exactly the same rate.
AND the Government must be made to not increase spending of course.

We can easily stop paying all taxes (property, income, corporate, etc.) and still have enough money for all government programs!

All government entities have NO BUSIBESS forcing my kids to eat certain things and not eat other things. Recommendations on both these categories are OK but NO REQUIREMENTS.
Michelle can say wh**ever she wants but also has no business controlling school lunch programs.
Caring parents should have the major say what is served there.
That would take care of probably 90% of the wasted food..

JMHO wrote:
An investigative report by a Cincinnati TV station finds that the government's new school lunch requirements championed by First Lady Michelle Obama are wasting $4 million a day in discarded food that children won't eat.

The National School Lunch Program feeds upwards to 31 million American students a day, spending nearly $12 billion annually, but many of those children are throwing away the vegetables, fruits, and snacks forced on them by the new federal nutrition standards.

A new Harvard study of the program, WCPO Channel 9 reported, "shows that 60 percent of fresh vegetables and 40 percent of fresh fruit are being thrown away."

"And a recent study released by the National School Nutrition Association found 81.2 percent of schools surveyed indicated an increase in the amount of food being thrown away by students since the new nutrition standards went into effect two years ago," the televised report continued.

Nearly 600 school districts have already dropped out of the First Lady's lunch program, Fort Thomas Independent Schools in Northern Kentucky being one of them.

Fort Thomas School Superintendent Gene Kirchner pointed out that if the program is resulting in so much waste, then it is not very effective. "I have to think that across the country, it has to be a staggering amount of food going to waste, and I think there are people out there who could really use that food," he said.

In fact, according to one government study, over one million kids across the country have stopped eating lunch altogether after the new standards were imposed on their schools.

Many of the new requirements force lunch preparers to use fresh ingredients instead of canned or frozen, and this has led to morale issues among lunchroom staffers, the study found. "Staff in one [school food authority] noted that the increased amount of time and effort to prepare fruits and vegetables also led to morale issues when staff saw students throw the fruits and vegetables in the trash," the investigation found.

The First Lady lashed out at critics of her unpopular nutrition standards, charging that anyone who criticizes her program is "playing politics" with "our children's future."

You have that right. Let the Corporations pay their way just like "We the People" are forced to do. Then we can watch America get beck to what it was only 20 years ago.

You realize that Obama's strategy will take years to implement. In the meantime ISIS will have ample opportunity to grab and completely control any parts on the Middle East it desires.

He seems to think everything will come to a stop simple because Obama wants it that way. In reality, by the time his coalition is in place it will be too late to do anything about it except stick your head in the sand and leave all your other parts exposed.

Since when has Obama asked for anything from Congress. Hell, it is so much easier to "rule by the pen and phone" than even ATTEMPT to get bipartisan action from Congress.

I think that Senator Cardin must have been listening through my ears and we both failed to hear Obama ask for anything. I heard him make an attempt to "force" Congress to do something by talking about working together, but I didn't hear him ask for anything with those words.

I don't want corporations to get away without paying their rightful share of taxes. There is nothing wrong about "trickle down" process as long as the corporations actually are made to pay their taxes. Remove the loopholes for corporate America and things will get a lot better. That does not invalidate the theory.

AND I don't want Dick Cheney to have anything to do with the U.S. Government ot control of the Republican party.

No American with a straight face that the GOPTP do not dependably promote repeating failed policies regardless to the damage to this country, by continuously pushing failed trickle down economics theory, giving corporations a means of avoiding paying taxes, or funding a reason to go to war and denying Veterans benefits.

Hours prior to Obamas meeting with top congressional leaders the GOPTP met with Dick Cheney for council on likely to promote a new oil grab war in Iraq. Can you imagine meeting with the guy that lied this country into this mess. Chaney implied to the GOPTP for military intervention any and every place around the world. This is the GOPTP at its best when it comes to spending American middle class Taxes.

Can anybody actually believe that Cheney is the guy to lead the GOPTP in foreign policy. The GOPTP is becoming an embarrassment to this this country with the GOPTP reaching out to Cheney and Fox News reaching out to Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson on foreign policy issues.
