And -yes--insurance is a 'socialist' and liberal concept--from the many to help the many (sorta like TAXES-heh-heh-heh). But government social programs ain't free!! One of and perhaps the most salient difference between government 'insurance' and all private programs is PROFIT! And here is a question to help prove my point: why does 80% of my health insurance cost about $100 dollars-the part I pay the GOVERNMENT for-and the remaining 20 percent costs---$175 dollars- the part I buy from a private insurer--AARP in fact? It is a false and continuing 'myth' that socialism is a 'bad' thing and unworkable. Many other nations use the 'concept' and implement social programs quite successfully right along with and from within a democratic form of government. Most of the opposition to socialist/social programs and services come from those with 'something to lose'---big medicine, doctors and health insurance companies come to mind right away!
