NIH has spent $1.2M on beagles for experiments over last decade: PETA VP

The National Institutes of Health was accused of involvement in a $1.2 million contract over the past decade to purchase beagles for cruel experiments, said PETA senior vice president of cruelty investigations Daphna Nachminovitch on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

The most recent alleged violation is from Virginia-based supplier Envigo, which is accused of providing nearly 5,000 beagle dogs and puppies to NIH and other labs to be confined and tortured.

During a PETA investigator’s visit, more than 360 dogs were allegedly found dead.

The NIH has been cited by the Department of Agriculture for the "hideous" conditions inside these warehouses, Nachminovitch said Tuesday.

PETA CALLS FOR DR. F***I TO RESIGN: ‘OUR POSITION IS CLEAR’

"They have been cited … for direct and critical violations," she said. "For failure to provide basic necessities of life to these nursing mother dogs and their puppies, keeping animals in temperatures as high as 92 degrees without air conditioning, plunging needles into the heads of puppies to drain hematomas … and so much more."
Dr. F***i is the 'opposite' of what you want in a leader: Rand Paul Video

The investigation is ongoing, she added, saying the dogs in these facilities are being raised especially for "cruel experiments that are useless" and paid for by taxpayer dollars.

Why are beagles allegedly the breed of choice? The PETA executive revealed the gruesome t***h — they’re easy to torture.

"Beagles are small and docile," she said. "They’re such gentle, loyal dogs, and unfortunately they are so submissive that they’re easy to torture without posing a public safety risk to their abusers."

Dr. Anthony F***i and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases have been wrapped up in the scandal for originally funding experiments in Tunisia where, according to PETA, beagle puppies were drugged before their heads were locked inside cages filled with hungry, infected sandflies.

PETA publicly called for the NIAID director to resign in a tweet on Nov. 5.

The NIH generally spends about $19.6 billion a year on animal experimentation, Nachminovitch said.

His group of "we the People" is larger than that. It includes all the Marxist Socialist people who make by the Democrat party as well as those people who came before them from Marx to Stalin to Hitler.

Yes, training is the key. I have met with several, well behaved pits on my hikes. Here is the issue: well behaved (trained). The owners are responsible for a dog's behavior, no matter the breed. I have encountered untrained black labs and dashouns that would bite, and chiwouwas that were vicious. While encountering pits, chows and wolf-hybreads that were very "manerly". If you want to be a pet parent, spend time with the animal, properly train the same, if you don't know how to train an animal, take a class and keep your mind open, as you MUST BE THE ALPHA ANIMAL. If you have limited time to be with your pet, get a plant instead.

Or get a pet rat, or another type of rodent, average lifespan 3 to 5 years, and some are very trainable, and, if handled carefully as a little one, can be litter box trained. The short lifespan is a plus if you are not sure if you want the responsibly. On the other end of the lifespan are the large parrots requiring that you decide what to do with one when you die and make the arrangements beforehand.

There are no bad dogs; there are only bad owners.

Please keep in mind that each breed of dog was bred to do a special task for the owner. Some breeds were bred to chase prey and k**l it so that the owner could eat, as well as provide food for the dogs in the pack and the puppies not yet ready to hunt on their own. Others were bred to protect the flocks that the owner had. Still others were bred to protect the owner even if that meant attacking a human that the dog perceived as a threat to the human. Find out what the purpose of the breed was, what the breeder selected for when doing the decisions as to what b***h would be bred to which dog. In other words, find out what the breed you are considering is bred to do, learn how to train the dog of that breed before considering buying one. If you want a dog with a sound steady temperament then select from a good and careful breeder. If you just want to go to the pound and buy a cute pup then do so, but be aware that you know NOTHING about the parents and it is a case of buying a pig in a poke. (if you are not familiar with that expression, look it up--learn something new, it is worth your time, so don't be lazy.

All of ours know "do you want to go out? "It is not yet time to eat" (dog will then just go back to what he or she was doing) "go in your crate" "leave it" means don't pick it up, sniff it or try to eat it. That command has saved their lives a few times, as in when one or more wanted to attack a copperhead snake.

Dogs don’t usually bark at “friends”.

You have got to be kidding or know nothing about dogs. Most dogs have a bark to warn of strangers, a bark that says "Attention, I recognize the person but thought you would like to know that we are having company and one that says "Hi mommy or daddy" and one that says "time to play with me, NOW" If you can't tell the difference, start paying more attention to your dog.

E mailed to me;

THINK ON THIS ONE LONG AND HARD ABOUT THE POWER OF THE PRESS TODAY IN
AMERICA.

HERE IS AN INTERESTING THOUGHT THAT had not crossed my mind, until I read this --but now that it's mentioned in this message, I guess my curiosity has been peaked.

HAS ANYONE EVER SEEN (A) ANY OF THE 6,000-7,000 AMERICANS THAT WERE RESCUED FROM AFGHANISTAN? (B) OR ANY OF THEM REUNITING WITH FAMILY OR BEING INTERVIEWED?

JUST A SHORT NOTE OF SOMETHING RATHER INSIGNIFICANT IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS....

WE ARE TOLD BY THE POWERS THAT BE - THAT APPROXIMATELY 6,000 TO 7,000 AMERICAN CITIZENS WERE RESCUED BY DARING EFFORTS OF THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT AND U.S. MILITARY IN EVACUATIONS FROM KABUL AIRPORT.

OKAY, FAIR ENOUGH... THAT'S A GOOD OUTCOME.

HOWEVER, IT SEEMS A LITTLE ODD NOW THAT THERE ARE NO VIDEOS OF THE SURVIVORS OF THE AFGHAN CRISIS ARRIVING AT AIRPORTS.

NO CROWDS OR FAMILIES GREETING THE EXTRACTED AMERICAN RESIDENTS;

NO HUMAN INTEREST STORIES,

NO WHITE HOUSE INVITES FOR A SURVIVORS TV BROADCAST WITH SURVIVORS THANKING BIDEN. NO HOMETOWN INTERVIEWS OF PEOPLE THANKING BIDEN AND LOCAL BROADCAST NEWS
COVERAGE OF RELIEVED AMERICANS, HUSBANDS, WIVES, DAUGHTERS OR SONS ARRIVING BACK IN THEIR HOMETOWN....NOTHING.

SIX TO SEVEN THOUSAND AMERICANS SAVED FROM THE CLUTCHES OF THE TALIBAN, AND NOT A SINGLE STORY OF THOSE AMERICANS ARRIVING HOME TO THE WAITING ARMS OF THEIR LOVING FAMILY ??????

YOU CAN'T PUT A GAG ORDER ON 7000 PEOPLE TO NOT TELL HOW BAD IT WAS AND YOU KNOW THE DEMOCRATS WOULD NEVER LET A PHOTO OPPORTUNITY BE WASTED......SO?

WHY WOULD THEY LET AN OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS GO BY?

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE REASON?

ANY OF THIS SOUND STRANGE TO YOU? IT'S MAKING THE ROUNDS AND YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY READ THIS. IF SO, PASS IT ON.
The dog that didn't bark? You tell me, why? br E m... (show quote)

I am trying to remember the title and the author of the short story bringing up the "dog did not bark" question. If you know the author, please post it or post it to me if you can.

Dogs get vicious because of the way they are treated - not because of any genetics and that includes pit bulls! Do some research!!

While you are correct that how people train (or don't train) their dogs makes a lot of difference in how the dog behaves, some breeds do require different techniques, and the Bully breeds are part of that special group. People who let the dog get away with what ever it wants to do should NEVER even consider any of the Bully breeds. These breeds all require a consistantly dominant training method. Never let them get the upper hand, always require that the dog do what you told it to do, once you have taught the dog what the command is, and always use the same command and the same body language and tone of voice. Saying "Fido come one time and here sweetie the next will confuse any dog but the bully breeds will read it as a suggestion, not a command, so it can be ignored. When you first get a puppy of any of those breeds, or many of the terrier breeds which seem to be often similiar to the "pit" breeds. Train the puppy from day one, never let it get the upper hand, and make sure the dog gets praise when he does it right. Please remember that the dog does not know what the words of the command mean so train from day one with the same commands, correct gently while training but seriously when you know the dog understands what you commanded. Use lots of praise and once in a while a small treat. Remember that, unlike breeds with less intelligence, The bully breeds, and also most of the terrier breeds are much smarter than, for instance, a bulldog or a Basset Hound. If you don't want to do the work, then DON'T get a bully breed EVER!!!!

This was about 35 years ago. After driving the company van home, left the back door open. By the time we realized it our 2 Irish Wolfhounds had emptied most of the tools and small equipment out of the van and scattered it all over the yard. We always thought they didn't chew anything up because they were just too busy d**gging all stuff to out and going back for more

That sounds very typical for an Irish Wolfhound as well as most of the other sight hounds.
