Let's say that you have your guns locked up securely so that your insane kid doesn't get hold of them, and then an armed intruder breaks into your house.
The headlines would read...FAMILY IN A HOUSE FULL OF LOCKED UP GUNS K**LED BY ARMED INTRUDER. MORE PROOF THAT GUN OWNERSHIP DOES NOT SAVE LIVES.....
My guns are not locked up because you can't use them when locked away. Like Florida, I can't imagine that somebody, somewhere didn't see what was about to happen and report it. Kids won't do it because they don't want to be a snitch. I don't know the facts on the parents, but I think they probably had no idea (but they SHOULD have).
The NRA promotes gun safety in every way. Saying that they want child deaths are words from the mouth of a bitter fool.
