According to that train of thought how can one divide a family up into father and son? and since the spirit or soul is eternal how can a spirit be resurrected according to your definition? The resurrection at the end of the world, all of the dead will have glorified bodies, where the scars of this world will be healed. This is known as a glorified body. The same body Christ had when he was resurrected on Easter Sunday. In the entire bible only three persons aside from Christ was sinless and according to the description, entered into heaven.
One was Enoch, "For Enoch walked with God and was no more", Genesis. One was Elijah, "who was carried into heaven in a Char**t," the third was the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus. Mind you Jesus took upon Himself all the sins of the world, therefore He was condemned to Sheol. And after three day, rose from the dead. Then He ascended into heaven.
Proof of faith can be found in the saints, where their faith was so strong that their bodies are preserved as if they died yesterday. One such saint is St. Bernadette of Lourdes France. This is physical proof of faith. Many deny this phenomenon however they cannot deny the evidence left for all of us to believe.
This phenomenon also proves that it is sin that destroys the body, but it is faith in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost that heals. Not only do they heal the body, but the mind and spirit are healed too. This belief comes to the Christian through the priestly people of Israel. So to deny the phenomenon of St. Bernadette, is to deny the faith of Christ as well as the faith of Israel. It was in the books of Moses and the Prophets that that theory of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, was first formed. The trinity was described by the Law of Moses and the Prophets in the many writings of ancient Israel. From Moses to Solomon, From Ezekiel, Isaiah, and Elijah, and all the Prophets. For even the "bones of Joseph were brought back to be buried with his father's" in the Promised land.
To call it schizophrenic or to call God schizophrenic is to hold lack of faith in the awesome power of God the Almighty, His Son-Jesus Christ, and His Spirit. You deny the fact that man is created in the image of God, as Moses relates in Genesis, and you deny the fact that woman was made in the image of Man, which is also related to us in Genesis, so how can you believe that man and woman both have a mind, spirit and body? One God consubstantial in three beings. For the Son was begotten of the Father, and Spirit proceeds from the Father and Son. Each being equal in all things. A human mind cannot fathom the power or existence in being of God. But after witnessing the awesome power of God, I can say and know for a fact, that what the ancients described from Genesis to Revelations is true.
And I can further say, that Human History would not be possible, nor would creation be possible, or plausible, without God in this form. If the punishment of Sin is death, then How can anyone escape death? And if Sin destroys life, how can life be eternal? But since Sin is described as an offense against God, how can such an offense be so powerful? Is it the offense, or the consequences of the offense that brings death?
Ah my friend, this conversation reminds me of a story as told to us by St. Augustine. One day, the St Augustine was walking on the seashore. Trying to figure out how to communicate the Trinity to his fellow brethren. When his eyes found a child attempting to count the grains of sand on the seashore. He asked the child, "Son, what are you doing?", "Counting the grains of sand on this seashore", the child said. "For what purpose?" the saint asked the child, "To better communicate how the grains make up the sea shore." replied the child. The saint taking compassion on the child, said "You will never be able to know all the grains of sand that make up the seashore." The child t***sformed into an Angel of God and said to him, "And you will never be able to explain the Trinity"
Did not Jesus say to the Jews at Solomon's temple: "Jesus answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Fathers name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Fathers hand. I and My Father are one. John 10:25-30?
Each person who argues against what I have written fails to see the Father in Jesus, and Jesus in the Father. We are human therefore we have the freedom to choose whether we do believe or not believe.
Did not Jesus say to these very same Jews when they went to stone Him: " Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me? The Jews answered Him, saying, For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, You are gods? If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, You are blaspheming, because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him. Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand." John 10:31-39
Now, I say to you, as Jesus Christ said to the Jews, "If [Jesus Christ did not] do the works of [God, the Father the Almighty], do not believe [Jesus Christ]; but if [Jesus Christ did do the works], though you do not believe [Jesus Christ], believe the works, that you may know and believe that [God, the Father, the Almighty] is in [Jesus Christ], and [Jesus Christ] in Him.
It amazes me how plainly Jesus spoke to the Children of Israel, and speaks to us today, and how we human beings still do not believe. This is a big effort I have made in writing this post, Christ has the power to lay down His life for sinners like me, and has the power to take up His life again. And He does it for you and I. Yet still many do not believe, that is sad.
