So you are a major part of the problem, Supporting the hiring of i******s because you or who ever you work for won't pay a living wage for the American working man. Now before you jump through your ass getting your panties all up in a wad know that I owned my own very lucrative General Contracting business and never once did I stoop to your level!!

Sorry about getting back to you so late had to work. I guess you only read into my post what you wanted to and not what I said. First everybody on the jobs I work are LEGAL to work and have all the paperwork, gone thru background checks. Insulators, scaffold and civil average around $15 an hour which most would say is a living wage but if you take into account it's a temporary no benifits job that requires travel it's not that great. Up north were unions still have a little stroke left their benifit package would be twice that. I don't do residential constuction, but know people who are contractors in that field. I'm glad to hear you're doing well in your corner of the world. But in the big city things are little different, at a 175 million this is not really a large project but has been hard to man with quaified people as is the case with all projects around this area. I'm all for locking down the border and controling i*****l i*********n. Moving our military to the border seems like a no brainer but no congressman is going to give up a base in his district and the money it brings in. Most i******s came on a visa and never left so were is the accountability?

Americans are unwilling to do the hard work... at the ridiculous rates we pay the i******s. All the construction trades have now been taken over by i******s, and that is a very sad thing. Only 10 years ago, I could lay brick for $20/hour. Now the going rate is $8 to 11 and the quality matches the wage. The other trades are also beset by i******s and low, low wages and poor results.
Get off the Americans being unwilling to work hard, the problem is there is no way to do a good job and provide quality products while working for $8 per hour. Pay me what I really am worth and I can produce good quality product at a faster rate of speed and speak English on the job.
Give me that chance (all of us displaced by the i******s) and we'll show you just how ready we are to work hard. We will deliver more product at a lower cost and better quality that you are getting now from our construction force of i******s.

I couldn't agree more everybody h**es the unions but they kept wages up and i******s out. Unions trained craftsmen that built this country. I think we threw the baby out with the bath water when we got rid of them. Without anything to replace unions we ended up with a low wage, low sk**led workforce. People who will do anything for 10 bucks an hour, no proper training and no p***e in their craft because they don't really have one. Companies have broken crafts up into small pieces so they can train somebody in a few weeks these people can't do the whole job just a small part of it, but you can get um cheap. Just about everybody on this site screams about raising minimum wage because it would cost a quarter more for a hambuger what do they think would happen to the price of a house if it could no longer get built for 8 bucks a hour. Let's face it big money likes cheap labor and who gets people elected? Big money, don't expect immigration reform anytime soon if it in any way reduces the supply of cheap labor.

Hey Duchy the one thing you left out was what they contibute. Being in construction for over 40 years now I can tell you this country would shut down overnight. Most building trades are dominated by immigrant labor which I have said for years is why wages have remained stagnant in my area of work. But I think everyone on this forum can agree we are lacking when it comes to finding americans willing to do the hard work that it takes to build this country. Right now I'm at work the only ones on the job are the insulators they have been working 10 to 12 hours a day 7 days a week for the last 2 months and I can tell you right now no one out here is named Bill or Dave it's all hispanic labor. I don't know what the answer is but before we get all wound up and throw all these people out we need to figure how to replace them. Life isn't allways working 40 hours a week in front of a computer, working construction in 100+ deg. heat doesn't seem to rate high on the list of jobs kids aspire to today. I'm not defending i*****l i*********n at all just pointing out the elephant in the room.

But do they make $110,00.00 a year NO. Are the highest paid NO. Is their education system the worst NO. EVERY SINGLE FACT IN THE POST WAS WRONG PERIOD and yet you commented in support of it. So my post wasn't bulls**t but thankyou for fact checking me it shows you know how it works. Although you can sometimes come up with different numbers depending were you check they should all be in the ballpark. These rediculous posts that make claims without any proof should be checked not reposted again and again. By the way their unfunded pension liabilities are huge and I think we both know who in the end will pick up that tab. Thats and issue that really needs to be addressed and is growing every day and not just in Illinois but in states all over the country.

Now, Consider This:
There are more people on Welfare in Illinois than there are people working.
Chicago pays the highest wages to teachers than anywhere else in the U.S. averaging $110,000/year.
Their pensions average 80-90% of their income. You can't blame that on republicans because there aren't any.
Wow, are Illinois and Chicago great or what?
Be sure to read till the end. I've never heard it explained better.
Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago ?
Body count: In the last six months 292 k**led (murdered) in Chicago .
221 k**led in Iraq AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.
. Here's the Chicago chain of command:
. President: Barack Hussein Obama
. Senator: Dick Durbin
. House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.
. Governor: Pat Quinn
. House leader: Mike Madigan
. Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
. Mayor: Rohm Emanuel
. The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats.
. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago .

. Of course, they're all blaming each other.
. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!
. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois . And he is going to 'fix' Washington politics for us???
. George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house.
. Of course he was replaced by Rob Blagojevitch who is...that's right, also in the big house.
. And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of weeks ago. That is because he is fighting being sent to...that's right, the big house.
. The Land of Lincoln , where our governors make our license plates.

But you know what? As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago , nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

I'm not defending Obama or Illinois but couldn't believe your post so I checked a few things it wasn't hard. 1.) Average pay for teachers in chicago $64,509 6th in the nation 2.) Average pension 40% of salary for teachers.3.)Illinos ranks 12th in the nation in education. 4.)172 murders in the last 6 months, 292 was an 08 stat. 5.) I allmost forgot the most important one, the claim more people on welfare then working in Illinois was debunked by every fact check site on the internet when this chain e-mail first started.6.)Illinois unfunded pension liabilities, 94 billion second highest in the nation as of 2013. Do you ever check anything you post? As a God fearing man you claim to be doesn't the t***h mean anything to you? My parents told me you go to hell just as quick for lying as for stealing. Blindly repeating anything derogatory just shows you point of view or opinion has no credibility it's all based on what you read or heard not what is factual. (And this goes for you too Dutchey)

If we expect the worst from people we will never be diappointed and that goes for both sides of the fence. When Obama was elected my first thought wasn't about having a black president, but if he could fix the mess we were in. I rate his overall performance at about a C- maybe.

Sorry I'm in the mood for some troll hunting today.

Rather than trying to discredit my post the question was an obvious attempt negate the facts based on the ethnicity of the person who posted it. And for the record anybody who believes the old Joe has more resourses than a billionaire is a moron. Good luck on your troll hunting.

Inyourface:

You only confirm the opinion that I previously held of you. The individual states have a land mine three years out that will bankrupt most states. The Feds will pay 100% of the Medicare enrollments for the first year, then 90% the second year. The states will absorb the total cost of medicaid the third year and from then on. Many states are shifting over 50% of the total enrollments onto medicaid and do not recognize the gotcha in year three (3) and from then on.

If you think that the GOP has moved on, look over your shoulder and see what is coming down that track. With the invasion of i*****l a***ns crossing the border over the past several months, what major benefit do you think will kick in to care for these i******s and bankrupt those states? You got it, Medicaid. Obama always followed the Clower-Pivens doctrine to overwhelm the system and is adding fuel to the fire. If you do not see that and accept that as t***h, your mental facilities are lacking. Thank God we dodged that bullet and will remain solvent, as a state.

I don't think you understand the poor allready get medicaid. The expansion was to cover people who work but couldn't afford insurance even GOP plans have included subsidies or tax credits to help. Do you think poor people don't go to a doctor when they get sick? Well they do, and state and local governments pick up the tab.

"arguement that the feds will not keep up their end down the road is" built into the Affordable Care Act. The law openly says that they will only pay for the expansion for a time and then the states will pick up an ever increasing tab. And it is also tied to ever increasing federal control over what treatments Medicare approves or doesn't.

Doesn't sound like a good deal to have to pick up a bigger tab and lose control over it at the same time.

The Feds will pay 100% till 2016 then 90% from then on perhaps you should take a moment to read about it. As to the Feds control over Medicare who do you think pays for Medicare? But I'm sure you v**ed for Paul Ryan he proposed turning medicare into a voucher program to reduce costs to the government.

When the ACA was passed, without a single Republican v**e because the Democrats refused to allow a single Republican Amendment to be even debated, or a single Republican objection to be aired, when the ACA was rammed through a Democrat controlled House and Senate without one single Democrat who v**ed for it having even read it, (which is why it has so many problems now ), I suppose that was all perfectly hunky-dory? It only counts when Republicans are obstructing.
Oh, I forgot, "obstruction" is anytime anyone disagrees with your God-King about anything.
When the ACA was passed, without a single Republic... (show quote)

Obama is not my God King as you put it, but he is the president of my country. The expansion of medicaid was to benifit the working poor. Not allowing the federal government to pick up the tab is a disservice to the entire state. The arguement that the feds will not keep up their end down the road is rediculous.
