Before I start I have spent the last week researching the Koch money in our political system. What I found just defies our political system of fairness. As you go through each phase you will come to an understanding of why the IRS targeted Americans for prosperity. They are not a 501C4 group they have broken the law and the IRS conspiracy is a fraud. As you read and fact check make note of each PAC that is part of the Koch group and who the founder was and how they get funded and there actual agenda.

This all started with LOKI post of the Koch Brothers falling somewhere at 52 on a list of unions that have donated funds for political purposes. But it did not indicate the Super PAC's. And the vast network that Koch brothers invest $400 million into our political system.
I started my research with AFP, AFP Foundation, and ALEC.
Under the heading ALEC exposed. On a national level the companies involved with ALEC private enterprise board that actually write legislation for the GOP. They are also involved with Lobbyist to target congressional initiatives as well as federal departments such as the EPA the FDC, and Florida's stand your ground and very big into restrictive v**er rights. They also promote private schools prisons and as you will see other crony capitalism. ALEC was founded and funded by David Koch.
ALEC was charged with Tax Fraud for secretive financed junkets. It was part of what ALEC called Scholarship's for state legislators. Red states allowed the TP republicans to register to attend the ALEC conference also to except business funded scholarships from ALEC to offset their cost. This was also part of the IRS investigation. Just google ALEC charged with Tax fraud for secretive financed junkets.
ALEC has been running a multi million $ slush fund for state law makers looking to influence (right to work) (Stand Your Ground) and (V**er ID) and (v**er suppression)
ALEC brings together state legislators and corporate lobbyist to create legislation behind closed doors. Then these bills are introduced in state houses, and congress. All these bills are written by the corporate elite that donate to ALEC. One big bill out of ALEC this year was the dirty energy bill made to look clean through bogus scientist that were paid by ALEC and the IPP.
ALEC also receives major funding from T***s Canada. ALEC has opposed an array of bills on low carbon fuel standards that would limit the sale of T***s Canada tar sands fuel. T***s Canada actually wrote letters to legislators reminding them of what they paid for there conference trips.
ALEC had a private conference in Dallas Texas to (eliminate Medicare) (School Privatization) and the expansion of Gas Exports.
ALEC is funded through AFP from corporation like Exxon, Charles Koch charitable foundation, or trade associates like the pharmaceutical industry that help fund trips to the ALEC conferences. The legislation developed by ALEC is distributed to state local and national legislators at these meetings.
ALEC describes itself as the largest association of state legislators but only 10% of there funds come from legislators dues which is $50 a year. ALEC is the most powerful association of corporations that influence state, local, and national legislation but ALEC tax filings do not count corporate donations as dues they are listed as gifts. They have listed over $21 million from corporation as gifts and $250,000 as dues paid for from legislators.
Through the (Claude R Lambe foundation) Charles Koch foundation has donated to ALEC $125,000 another $75,000. That $200,000 is before wh**ever is the undisclosed amount through (Koch Industries)
Koch Also pays for the gifts the company gives to legislators who take part in there one stop shopping at ALEC conventions. These gifts are given to legislators who take part in there family vacations billed as a conference. These gifts cost ALEC $600,000 a year.
What is not known is the millions paid by Koch Industries to bail out ALEC.
Koch Industries has chaired ALEC for over a decade.
The Dark money by the corporate elite that is donated to ALEC is unknown. These funds are paid to the lobbying arm involved in ALEC leadership.
The way ALEC avoids Taxes is to set up a scholarship fund . These are not funds for kids who do well in school. They are financial gifts called scholarships to help cover the cost of family vacations for legislators at the ALEC meetings. ALEC has reported over $250,000 for childcare for these meetings.
ALEC spends $600,000 to just recruit legislators and candidates to run under the TP label.
Each state has an ALEC chairman who's identities are not required to be disclosed by ALEC and it's these chairs recruit and raise the scholarship funds.
The ALEC vacations for TP legislators on the local state and national level cost ALEC $2 million
ALEC meetings actually consist of Luncheons, dinners, Golf Outings, boating, and many other events to get legislators to bond with ALEC funded lobbyist and the corporate elite.
ALEC state that no laws are actually passed or debated during these conventions therefore no lobbying takes place. But they all leave with the corporate elite play book.

In a recent report entitled (buying influence) common cause and the center for democracy in media say the scholarships are nothing but a slush funds, and are barred in some states and allowed in most red states.
David Koch actually ran for Vice President on the libertarian party in 1980 and is currently on the board of CATO institute which is a libertarian think tank. Also some interesting reading there on David Koch's actual agenda.
To give an example the Koch brothers actually founded a PAC called (Patients First) to oppose and mislead the American people of the ACA. It's sole purpose was to spread propaganda on the healthcare.
As Koch industries founded and funded ALEC they also did the same with AFP. AFP was the key component of Koch's $400 million political network. They raised money from dark groups like (Freedom Partners) (American Encore) and (Donors Trust) AFP budget comes from the (Koch Family Foundation) and a vast number of other unknown sources. There budget surged from $7 million in 2007 to $115 million in 2012. This was all part of the IRS audit they were looking at AFP and found ALEC because funds were shifted to ALEC from AFP and Many other PACs that were funded in the same manner.
AFP funding per there 2012 tax returns received $115 million and spent $122 million. ($33.5 million political activities) ($36.5 million on campaign financing) ( $36.4 million on campaign activities to the federal e******n commission) AFP reported to the IRS that it does not spend funds on political activities. Had AFP had not disclosed that on there tax returns they would have had to disclose there donors and pay taxes. Anybody see any fraud here.
Now reports indicate that the Tea Party has benefitted from millions of $ from conservative PACs and the wealthy under the AFP umbrella. The funds to organize and implement the Tea Party movement is primarily through AFP and the dark money through (freedom Works).
Through AFP channels of funds in July of 2008 they hosted the (right On) conference of independent right wing bloggers in Austin Texas to develop new media techniques. This is when the agenda for right wing propaganda sites was developed. Which most TP read as t***h but lack any facts.
AFP has also worked to take over local school boards to create charter schools, specifically in states like NC, Colorado, and Scott Walkers new vision for Wisconsin. This is all accomplished through dark money and the propaganda sites to post lies about public schools.
AFP through there offshoot ALEC on climate control literally manufacture there own experts to defend there products and practices.
The Golden age of propaganda is created through AFP with undisclosed donors. They have also learned how to manipulate journalism on issues such as public health, environmental, and political issues with bogus experts and junk sciences through there propaganda sites.
The IRS exposed (AFP) and (AFP Foundation) when they file separate tax filings even though they were related and working out of the same office.
Patient United was formed by AFP to advertise and lobby against the ACA. They also orchestrated funding to the TP movement through AFP funded by multi national corporation.
(922 group) conservative advocacy group created by AFP. Website does not indicate how it is funded. It appears to be directed at the youth of this country under the direction of AFP. But Mark Levin Glen Beck Rush Limbaugh all prosper through the 912 group by book sales. Scary thought with those 3 influencing our youth.
Citizens For Sound Energy. Funded by Charles Koch Charitable foundation approximately $12 million to conservative advocacy group. They advocate against healthcare and climate control. Other donors Philip Morris and Exxon. They wrote Bush demanding he withdraw the (The Climate Action Report of 2002) and Bush buried it.
Prosperity Network funded by the Koch Brothers. Goal is to organize against local tax increases in Koch factories locations, Mass t***sit systems, get control of local school boards and county boards. This was done in Ohio and aimed at not protecting local pocket books and more at protecting Koch affiliated business interest in Columbus (Georgia Pacific Chemicals an affiliate business of Koch industries. Koch fought against any kind of Mass t***sit in Ohio and TN because Mass t***sit would threaten Koch's oil and Gas interest.
Koch Interns. Recruiting tool for Koch Industries. Generate Websites and new Media content, tracking grants, research and build a base of contacts, fundraising, donor communication, donation process. Train on All aspects to maintain new and young employees for the Koch political machine all done under tax exemptions through 501C4.
Castle Rock Foundation Funded by ALEC and Coors also involved Heritage, Hartland, Chamber Of Commerce, National federation of IndependentBusinesses and CATO. This group was formed to educate Judges on the state and local level. There main purpose on certain cases is to file separate briefs to make it appear that their is a ground swell of support for major corporation. They also invite state and federal Judges to seminars and conferences that are sponsored by this group. They use this time to educate judges as to positions held by corporations. These seminars are held just prior to important cases. It is also a luxury vacation all paid for by this group.
American Encore. Is a secretive non profit group organized under 501C4 that funneled more than $182 million in undisclosed donations to right wing groups from 2009 to 2012 including AFP and American Future Funds. The Washington Post described it as a cash turnstile for groups on the right. During the last 2 e******n cycles it received large amounts of dark money from Freedom Partners and TC4 trust as part of the $400 million Koch political Network. The groups role was part of a $11 million campaign money laundering shell game which was exposed by the CA Fair Practice Commission. Filed suite against its donors and recipients.
TC4 trust. Non profit organization with ties to the Koch network called a political shadow money mailbox. They virtually do nothing but pass grants through to other politically active 501C4 benefiting the TP and the GOP.
Each one of these PAC's are funded out of the Koch $400 million. Along with private donation from all the major manufacture in this country. There is fund raising done out of each of these PAC all control by the Koch machine.
Each PAC has a specific function to advocate the Koch and corporate elite agenda through the media propaganda and local state and federal judges. They recruit legislators and finance Tea party candidates. An example of The Koch brothers agenda is to attack the following through propaganda. Healthcare, Unions, EPA, FDA, v**er suppression, G****l w*****g, Smoking restrictions, Tobacco Taxes, Out source of American jobs, oppose min wage, oppose unemployment, attack higher wages for public employees, oppose any mass t***sit, oppose public schools maintain corporate welfare, decrease corporate taxes, oppose gun control. Does this sound like the Tea Party agenda.
Also while you research all these super pacs they are all 501C 4 tax deferred. When the IRS investigated AFP they found this vast chain of political actions groups. So the statement they targeted conservative groups was blown out of proportion because all they did was investigate AFP and found this network. Can you understand why the GOP created the IRS scandal all to hide this network.
So instead of the TP being a grassroots organization is not true anymore. They have developed over time in part by the corporate elite headed by a $400 million Koch funded organization with massive fund raising through the corporate elite.
