Close, but go back further. The issue with the Old Woman started earlier. The quote you have is a very firm opinion of another poster. He did indicate that he was not challenging her biases and said she is free to her emotions. So, yes I did agree with him. My agreement was with that statement only and is not an agreement with the theory that the size of the gland is specifically related to anger or fear. If you read my post I gave alternatives to why the gland may be bigger or smaller.

Your advice about being careful to whom I associate is well received. I do see that by responding to certain people that it may appear that I am aligned with their positions. Thank you.

I agree to a point, while I was "traveling" with my mother, she had many "friends" that lived on the street and used addresses of others to receive mail. Many of these people did get public assistance. They often bragged about getting money to run their homes when they slept where ever they wanted and when without having to get up and go to work. A few of them had college degrees. This I know is only a small portion of the poor, most I am sure want to have a better life. Sadly, the ones I met were quite happy with their life.

First, I want you to know that I had always respected you for making valid points in your posts and comments. Now then, the issue with Patty has nothing to do with her "actual events," but her interaction with me as a human asking a question. Next there is no place that I called her "h**eful." I called her vile, with a definition of very unpleasant, that was due to how she historically responded to people with whom she does not agree. Had she rephrased the comment, or explained without trying to imply that I am a simpleton, then the ugliness that ensued would not have happened. She, in my opinion, is hypersensitive and reacts with anger when asked a simple question of "Is this in English?" An ordinary person would not have become enraged, they would have responded, after reading how awkward the sentence was, with grace and would have expounded on their post.

I have no quarrel with you or anyone. It would be best, if you indeed want to understand, to go back and read the beginning of this. I asked a question and I was attacked by this person. I tried to back away, but she persisted and continued to be nasty in her verbal attacks. Indeed, I responded to another individual and again, I am attacked even after I explained what happened with the postings, she made it a point of attack.

I do not ask, and would never demand, that my mistakes be overlooked. Indeed many people have pointed out my mistakes and I recognize them, send a polite thank you to those who correct me and I move on. No reason to become upset or demean them because I was not clear in what I wrote.

Talking about the poor has become the new trend lately. There are those that try to shame people who have money and resources. Then there are those that just complain. It is sad, but many people will go into forums like this claiming to be poor. It is weird. Most people do not know what it is like being poor. Let me give you some examples of poverty:
Being poor, means that you sleep on the floor of a motor home that parks in a different spot every night.
Being poor is being yelled out for taking two pieces of bread and being called a "hog" for eating it
Being poor is watching a roach crawl over that piece of bread
Being poor is dumpster diving for cans so you can cash them in for gas
Being poor is having a propane heater in one part of the motor home
Being poor is shopping at goodwill for underwear
Being poor is hoping that you stop growing because you do not have any clothes
Being poor is packing your clothes in a garbage bag
Being poor is dumpster diving for food that is thrown away at stores....unless they lock them, then it is at a restaurant unless they do not recycle the grease bins and they put it into the dumpster, and if that fails going to the Salvation Army and asking for food. Then you make sure you put as much as you can in your pockets so you can eat the next day without having to beg
Being poor is having your mother sell the BET credits to her dealer for the her next high
Oh yes, there is more, but I am sure you do not want to know.

I lived this, so I know and I had no choice. You see, my mother was too busy getting high to want to work. She lived for the 15th of each month so she could visit her dealer. No, she did not want to work at a job, regardless of the pay. So, you that say that ALL POOR want good jobs, you are living in a fantasy. The homeless that I met, they did not want a home or a job, they wanted to be "free" and they did not want to be responsible.

I ran into this vile creature yesterday, I asked a simple question. She made it into a personal attack and wanted a war. I quite honestly think that she is not capable of rational discussion or thought. So, do not feel all alone she is a junk yard dog type of mentality that only knows one thing....attack! If I should ever consider the Liberal platform as my political party of choice, it will be because of people like this. I would be embarrassed to be associated with someone of her caliber.
