No, Kev, actually in the scenario you paint for us, the American people lose, getting $600 while millions of taxpayer dollars goes overseas and to absurd programs like g****r studies in Pakistan aid to i*****l a***ns. What an override really would show is that there are many, many Republicans who have thrown in with Democrats to prevent Trump from upsetting their moneymaking arrangement where they bilk money from the people to enrich themselves. They are serious about keeping this deep state going and they aren't going to quit. The only difference in the parties is that the Republicans have been a little more coy in handling it, but make no mistake, they are in it too. Trump made a miscalculation in this whole thing. For some reason he thought he would have more Congressional support to fight this travesty. Wrong. The Republicans are in on it too. Not all, but enough to make it impossible to fight. Now, we can sit back and argue like 3d graders on the playground about "Our team won, Ha Ha" or we can look past that and see what is being done to our Country. I'm too old to have much effect and a project which seems so futile and apparently the younger generation has been sufficiently indoctrinated to make it more than an uphill battle, but I am concerned for our grandchildren who will be facing a socialistic government which is destined to go the same way every other one has. If you say, "Socialistic governments in Sweden etc, are good," it simply indicates that you don't realize that they are actually capitalistic and heading toward socialism and having their problems as well.
