What will the world think of the United States and its people if Donald Trump is re-elected?

I think a few things will pass through my head:
The first, quite unfiltered, is âWhat the fuck are you people thinking?â The second, more immediate follow-up is probably along the lines of âOh. You probably werenât. I see where the problem is.â
Next comes the feeling of extreme disappointment, and worry: not for me, not even for the world (though weâre all gonna feel the consequences of that), but more particularly for the majority of people in the United States. If Trump wins again, itâs going to be another minority v**e via the E*******l College - which means that, once again, the vast majority of Americans are going to be screwed over by an outdated system which did not anticipate this.
That observedâŚI will have to acknowledge that you did this to yourselves. Once can be considered a mistake. If, at the end of four years of this lunatic, you still end up putting him back into officeâŚnot only have you not learned from the mistake, but youâve compounded it. In the last e******n, nearly 40% of the e*****rate didnât v**e. If that happens this timeâŚyeah, you did it to yourselves, and you canât claim ignorance as an excuse.
The more optimistic side of my brain will observe that âThis too shall passâ: after all, we said this with George W. Bush (a President that Trump makes look so much better), and the world moved on. That observed, youâre talking about a guy who admires that China has a President for life, and that has comfortably asserted that his followers would want him to serve more than two terms - and you bet heâll push for it to happen. So maybe it wonât passâŚand that the final legacy of the Republican Party will have been to end the United States as we know it. Sit and ponder that for a moment.
Finally, expect the United States to decline as a world power. Yes, youâll still have the worldâs strongest military, but you can guarantee that everyone else will quietly start changing relations with the US, in a fashion that carefully disengages us from particular entanglements. Letâs face it: a two-term Donald Trump signals the downfall of the United States. We cannot allow the rest of the world to go down with the ship.
I h**e sounding on the edge of hysteria, because sometimes I feel like Iâm doomsaying, but seriouslyâŚI could see that happening. Pushing Trump out of office (and please get rid of McConnell while youâre at it!) might be the only way to stave off the decline of the US. OtherwiseâŚI donât know whatâll come out the other end, but it wonât be good. Not for you, not for the United States, and not for the rest of the world.
This isnât one of those times where you sit back and watch someone else make history. Be clear on that: get out the v**e. It could be your last chance.

Did I read this correctly? Your a British citizen so so concerned with American politics? How are your open boarders working? I hear stock in knives is sky rocketing. đŹđ§
