Well make the photos! Surely these "too hard to do it types" can hire a photographer and load the pictures into a computer! Maybe we have just reached their governmental level of incompetence!
Start by putting all the known information and current photos on Facebook and provide sites where the parents can look through the pics & info!
So in your view none of the existing crowd of politicians in Washington are concerned about their constituents only their person pockets?!. Perhaps in that case, the best thing to do is limit their time in any elected position to just one or two terms thereby minimizing their exposure to lobbying influences. Certainly there has been a significant demonstration from them of failing to operate the government for their own personal political agendas!

National Security threat examples are like canceling the nuclear missile treaty with the Russians, selling off our oil reserves to make a short term profit, believing that we can put up a quick reaction anti-missile defense that will protect us from all incoming intercontinental missiles so we can win a war with anybody!
This kind of narcissistic mentality means that he believes he should be King and that no one should question his motives! e.g. If they do he just fires them (Off with their heads) He is not only his own enemy but he is the primary threat to our national security! Has anyone noticed how Mr. Trump is systematically withdrawing our nation from every treaty and international agreement or organization and feels seriously threatened by immigrants? Normal people renegotiate terms of agreements if they have concerns --- Not alienate all the other parties! Normal people accept others at face value regardless of race! Normal people are not narcissistic extremists whose random actions threaten the stability of our national security!
Mr. Trump IS the national emergency! His actions in creating conditions to shutdown the federal government for person gain are in direct violation of his oath of office. His administrative misconduct is an impeachable offense that must be remedied by immediate actions of Congress to protect the national security and sovereignty of our democracy!

All of the reasons I have read herein do nothing to justify the incarceration of an innocent child, but rather compound the contributory negligence which culminated it his death. Seems to me that the DHS custody prevented the child from seeking or receiving medical aid and the DHS failed to provide reasonable care for those children in their custody. That makes them NEGLIGENT and LIABLE the way I read the law!
No one with any common sense could possible believe that the tax reductions to the one percent are intended to help the general public. Nor would they believe that giveaways of federal lands to mining and oil companies are in the best interests of the general public. Nor do they believe that the rising oceans as evidenced in Miami, FL are inevitable and that nothing can be done for g****l w*****g, so we should just cover up references to it in our governments documents. The continued nomination of unqualified right wing extremists to head Federal Agencies simply defies all logic except to destroy our democratic form of government. Of course, all this is very logical to a narcissist who envisions himself as "King"!
The blessing in disguise is that the right wing extremists could do no more harm to the environment or the people!
If Republicans are just figuring out that supporting a narcissistic right wing ignoramus will not be good for their own political futures, then they certainly should already need to be replaced.
A statistic you can't deny is that Miami is currently raising its roads 3 ft and adding huge pumps and flood walls to cope with the ever rising water level. e.g. Because of the historical visual evidence that the Arctic and Antarctic icecaps and multiple glaciers worldwide are receding/melting. Hence that huge volume of ice turned water is adding to the oceans which in turn are getting higher.
