Remember that Loretta Lynch said she would bow to the recommendation of the FBI. There's some circular logic! Tell the FBI that we won't prosecute and then tell the public that the FBI doesn't recommend prosecution. It's the same old Democratic party song and dance.

You mean like doctored videos and your doctored responses?

Are you sure you saw the original source? If so, you could not possibly come to the conclusion that Acosta "was WAY out of line." Do you have the capability to run the WH version and the Newsweek version side by side? If so, you will clearly see the WH used a doctored video. One clue: where is the audio in the WH version? Non-existent. Why? Acosta immediately apologized to the intern for holding on to his mic.

You're suffering from confirmation bias. You see and hear what you want to see and hear. I have no vested interest in either side.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, or maybe just those responsible for distributing the altered video, could be indicted for criminal libel lawyers say. At the least, it is felt that Ms. Sanders should resign her post for such an egregious falsehood that impugned Mr. Acosta's character.

A video distributed by the Trump administration to support its argument for banning CNN reporter Jim Acosta from the White House appears to have been doctored to make Acosta look more aggressive than he was during an exchange with a White House intern, an independent expert said Thursday.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted the video, which shows Acosta asking President Donald Trump a question on Wednesday as the intern tries to take his microphone away. But a frame-by-frame comparison with an Associated Press video of the same incident shows that the one tweeted by Sanders appears to have been altered to speed up Acosta's arm movement as he touches the intern's arm, according to Abba Shapiro, an independent video producer who examined the footage at AP's request.

Earlier, Shapiro noticed that frames in the tweeted video were frozen to slow down the action, allowing it to run the same length as the AP one.

The tweeted video also does not have any audio, which Shapiro said would make it easier to alter. It's also unlikely the differences could be explained by technical glitches or by video compression β€” a reduction in a video's size to enable it to play more smoothly on some sites β€” because the slowing of the video and the acceleration that followed are "too precise to be an accident," said Shapiro, who trains instructors to use video editing software. The audio that was edited out appears purposeful, because Acosta immediately apologized to the intern trying to secure his mike.

Sanders, who hasn't said where the tweeted video came from, noted that it clearly shows Acosta made contact with the intern. In her statement announcing Acosta's suspension, she said the White House won't tolerate "a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job."

While the origin of the manipulated video is unclear, its distribution marked a new low for an administration that has been criticized for its willingness to mislead.

The White House News Photographers Association decried the sharing of the footage.

"As visual journalists, we know that manipulating images is manipulating t***h," said Whitney Shefte, the association's president. "It's deceptive, dangerous and unethical. Knowingly sharing manipulated images is equally problematic, particularly when the person sharing them is a representative of our country's highest office with vast influence over public opinion."

CNN has labeled Sanders' characterization of Acosta's exchange with the intern as a lie. Its position has been supported by witnesses including Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason, who was next to Acosta during the news conference and tweeted that he did not see Acosta place his hands on the White House employee. Rather, he said he saw him holding on to the microphone as she reached for it.

"The irony of this White House video involving Jim Acosta is that if it is found to be doctored, it will show the administration to be doing what it accuses the news media of doing β€” engaging in f**e information," said Aly Colon, a professor in journalism ethics at Washington & Lee University.

BS. I watched the news conference and Acosta was WAY out of line and deserves every criticism and sanction coming at him. No doctored video is needed because the proof is in the original source.

Pismo Beach clams! You used to be able to go to the shore with a wheelbarrow and fill up. They are trying to reestablish them so there has been a moratorium on digging clams there for many decades. That's what it takes.

The big draw is that Mackerel are a school fish and they will hit on anything. If you drop a line in their midst, with the four pronged hooks and heavy metal lure you are bound to pull up fish. No finesse, talent or patience required. The fish finder on the party boats would put you over the biomass and everyone would cast and reel-in furiously for about five minutes until the school moved on.

This made it great as an outing for boy scouts. They got an introduction to the world of fishing and the Mackerel were so eager to hit the lures and hooks everybody got something. In later years I used to go out to Montauk Point in NY and get on a party boat to fish for Striped Bass. Those were well worth the effort.

Took my sons and their Scout troop out for a day of Mackerel fishing off New Jersey's coast. We were in a brand new, day-fisher, party boat, which had two decks, the upper was just open to the sky and had no easy access to the water. The sea was rough and one of the other dad's was standing at the rail, with me, and slugging down beers at 6 am.

People were already turning green but it didn't bother me until we hit the fishing grounds. Everyone went to the rails and cast in the multi hooked lures. The jigging started and lines were pulled up with six to ten fish on each. I was absolutely delighted that my boys got good catches as well, until I got a whiff of the fish. Instant overwhelming nausea. The Beer Drinker helped my guys get the fish off the hooks and recast.

Seeing that they had the drill down I arranged for another parent to keep an eye on them and climbed the ladder to the second deck. The boat was pitching and torquing to beat the band but there was a stiff breeze and I could not smell fish. As long as I stayed up there I was good; try to come down to the main deck and I would start dry-heaving all over. I couldn't even get to the bottom of the ladder.

About half the boat was "hors de combat" from the rough sea and they were pleading with the Captain to return to port. The Captain ignored all of them and stayed out the allotted time despite the curses and imprecations that even the women on board were heaving his way. I was fine at the top level even though I was getting a bath, from spray carried by the wind, and getting a bigger swing from the waves. No fish smell, no problem.

By the end of the trip only the die-hards who were out fishing all the time, the captain, and a few customers, like my beer drinking buddy and my sons were still immune to the sea and smells. Two of the mates were heaving over the rails but they weren't incapacitated.

Got back to shore and the boys had their catch in a large garbage bag which I put in the trunk of my car. When we got home I carried it into the kitchen and my wife asked the boys "How did you do?" I said they did great, look at all these fish and opened the bag on the counter. The smell hit and and I had to run for the porcelain throne because the stink affected me the same way on land.

I understand! Although I never got seasick in the Navy, about 10 or so years later, I had occasion to go fishing on a 60' "head" boat that typically carried about 50 people fishing. So many people around me were sick, until it made me feel queasy for an hour or two. That boat bobbed around in the water like a cork, compared to the way destroyers rode.

My favorite thing to do on fishing boats is to spot someone looking a "little green in the gills." I go to the galley to get a greasy hamburger, bring it to the person about ready to heave (if they haven't already done so), and say something like "you don't look so well, maybe you need to eat something." Then I present the burger in front of them so they get a good whiff. Works every time!

Every time I went out on the ocean, no matter how big the boat was. I ended up "chumming" over the rail. Rough seas didn't bother me, pitching boat didn't bother me, it was the damned smell of fish that got me every time. If the wind was high enough to blow the stink away I was fine even when others were losing it, but give me one whiff of fish stink and up it came.

I'm fine until someone else throws up. One whiff of someone else getting sick sends me to the rail.

The Left has never been one to not use women and children as political pawns and endanger their lives to achieve their goals. Palestinians and the Middle East Islamists use this tactic as SOP.

Always a possibility. Can you imagine what would happen if several thousand Americans amassed at the Border threatening to go to Mexico? (I think the last time was the Mexican-American War; was not a good result for Mexico)? But it is okay too allow this from their southern border?

The majority of B****s in America have a higher percentage of White than EW's Native American claim; I don't hear any of them claiming to be White. What ever suits your purpose. And her bogus claim was to help her take advantage of the system. That to me is more despicable.
