As with anyone who carelessly broad-strokes with a wide all-encompassing brush, you are full of hyperbolic bluster/embellishment with both this post and the one I commented on, three above. My experiences are likely at least as wide as yours, yet don't mirror them at all. I have lived in the major metropolises of Houston, DFW, The SF Bay area and Austin. Isolated incidents are anomalies, and don't necessarily make for a groundswell or epidemic of like-events. Those who come up with these kind'a comments remind of what George Constanza was famous for saying: "It's not a lie if you believe it."

I figure you need to get some new talking points. You sound like those who still believe in so many of the old wise tales of yesteryear that have proven to be erroneous. They just can't help themselves.

Prove me wrong. Put a Trump sticker on your car and go park in down town Austin. Walk around with a MAGA hat on. Like I said, I double dare you!

The kommiecrats are pressing for a process crime since they don't have any other crimes against Trump. They will create a process that traps Trump or one of his associates and prosecute them and hope they flip on Trump to accuse him of a crime and then they get a lenient sentence for doing no crime as well, just like Mueller did.

And, they are in a big hurry to get Trump out before November. If they got Trump out it would be too late for any other viable republican candidate to get on the ballet.

I'm tired of Congress' inability to rein in the congressional tyrants. Waters, Schiff, Pelosi, Nadler, The Squad, etc. What do all these scandal-mongers have in common?

They're all crazy, unhinged, Trump-hating i***ts!!

It is truly amazing just how deep in denial many republicans are. In fact, its actually sad.

I don't think any of us are in denial about what the democrats and Trump h**ers are trying to do since before Trump was even sworn in. In fact, it is the denial of the l*****t democrats that is about to be broadsided by what is coming down on them.

Unquestioned on either of those assertions. I am aware of only one drug bust a few miles away in the time we've been here.

The bust would have occurred away from the "house" and the lab quietly dismantled. No need to cause a fuss!

Thanks for the reference! I didn't see anything that explains why republicans think its okay to deny congressional subpoenas though.

Congress lacks true subpoena power. Any of those subpoenas denied can be challenged in a court of law through regular channels. The democrats chose not to do that. Why??

Labeling people is akin to a fool's errand.

Besides, I prefer confident as opposed to smug.

Yes, confident & friendly.

I just call it as I read it.

In my previous line of work I found confident to be dangerous to the "confident" one. Confidence breeds assumptions. Confidence breeds carelessness.

Stereotype/generalize much Good Lord, you are so wrong in so many ways.

Move to a city or California and you'll see what I am referring to. Or just watch CNN/MSLSD for a while. It's unmistakable. Look at some clips of the democrats during the Kavanaugh hearings. Read the Mueller report. If you can't see the "guilty unless proven innocent" theme in it then you are just plain blind.

Better yet, put a Trump bumper sticker on your car and start wearing MAGA hats around town. Drive up to Dallas and wear one through one of the malls. LOLOL! Swing down to Austin and wear the same Trump hat! I double dare you!!

Get on twitter, if you dare! Read the comments.

Now, how am I wrong in so many ways???

Sometimes the t***h does in fact hurt. Everyone with the exception of some truly dark soul republicans know that Obama rescued the economy from what would have been the worst recession in 50 years -even Hillary knows that! Yes, coal miners were doing badly -so why did Trump promise them success and prosperity -oh, wait -that's what liars do to get v**es right - never mind. Why don't you go to Google and type in: truck drivers being laid off - unless of course your denial is so deep you're afraid too.

Coal jobs are steady although there will be less in the future as we will be exporting less due to other countries opening more mines, despite their claim to be working to off set c*****e c****e. As for truck drivers, for every one laid off there are five new job openings for them. There is a huge demand for truck drivers at present.

Nwtk, I've lived here since I retired going on eight years ago. The first thing I heard upon looking into the area were the number of meth labs/druggies just prior to our interest in buying up here. Cousins and a brother lived in the area, while I had lived many of my elementary/junior high years in nearby Waco. So, we were intrigued into moving. According to a Bosque County deputy sheriff who is also a member of our 'Nam Vet group, the meth labs pretty much cleared out years ago, with little evidence of their remaining existence.

The Sgt. Major and I are quite happy with our life here off the shores of Lake Whitney.

The labs are more complex these days and much better hidden and disguised. Better dentistry these days as well!

The area was popular with many criminal elements, not the least of whom were Bonnie and Clyde. My grandfather pumped gas for them many times . . . and kept his distance!

Whitney is a purdy little lake and so is Tawakoni. I've skied both hundreds of times. Literally. I am not sure your meaning about Takawoni but rest assured one can now find nearly as much riff raff around Whitney as one can around Tawakoni and more to heart of the matter Quinlan. Both areas now sport some of the finest meth labs in the country!
