"it's simple, pal- you don't need a "neuroscientist" to figure it out- people like record low unemployment, a nation that protects its borders- it's sovereignty- and doesn't become over-run with i******s costing us a fortune b/c of their heavy use of social services- they want to choose their doctor & health care plan- not live under a system like Canada's (single payer) where the elites flee the nation to pay out-of-pocket for major surgeries, right next door in the good ol' USA- Trump & GOP v**ers generally believe you should benefit from working- that you should be able to use your earnings to pay for things you want and need- not have Democrats decide to allocate your earnings based on their misguided political priorities-- & now they're so extremist & controlled by well-financed interest groups that they support nutty ideas like t*********r bathrooms & t*********r athletes destroying women's athletic competitions- some (like GOV "Blackface" Northam) want a******n to be allowed on a baby's birthday- and they obviously think plants and animals have more rights than unborn babies do. Some Dems think i******s should be allowed to v**e in our e******ns (after hypocritically complaining about foreign influence in our e******ns??)- they've gone completely bonkers!!- I'd expect a "neuroscientist" (be sure to check party registration) to understand what bonkers means. The Trump–Ukraine scandal is an ongoing political scandal in the United States. The scandal reached public attention in mid-September 2019 due to a whistleblower complaint made in August 2019.[7] The complaint raised concerns about Trump using p**********l powers to solicit foreign e*******l intervention in the 2020 U.S. p**********l e******n.[8] The Trump White House has corroborated several allegations raised by the whistleblower. A non-verbatim transcript of the Trump–Zelensky call confirmed that Trump requested investigations into Joe Biden and his son H****r B***n, as well as a conspiracy theory involving a Democratic National Committee server, while repeatedly urging Zelensky to work with Giuliani and Barr on these matters.[9][10] The White House also confirmed that a record of the call had been stored in a highly restricted system.[11][12] White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said one reason why Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine was Ukrainian "corruption related to the DNC server", referring to a debunked theory that Ukrainians framed Russia for hacking into the DNC computer system.[13] Trump has also publicly urged Ukraine and China to investigate the Bidens.[14] The Trump administration's top diplomat to Ukraine, Bill Taylor, testified that he was told U.S. military aid to Ukraine and a Trump–Zelensky White House meeting were conditioned on Zelensky publicly announcing investigations into the Bidens and alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 U.S. e******ns.[15] U.S. ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland testified that he worked with Giuliani at Trump's "express direction" to arrange a quid pro quo with the Ukraine government.[16]

On September 24, 2019, the House of Representatives began a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump, led by six House committees.[17] On October 31, 2019, the House of Representatives v**ed to approve guidelines for the next phase of the impeachment inquiry.[18]

On December 3, 2019, as part of the impeachment inquiry, the House Intelligence Committee published a 300-page report detailing that "the impeachment inquiry has found that President Trump, personally and acting through agents within and outside of the U.S. government, solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, to benefit his ree******n. In furtherance of this scheme, President Trump conditioned official acts on a public announcement by the new Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, of politically-motivated investigations, including one into President Trump's domestic political opponent. In pressuring President Zelensky to carry out his demand, President Trump withheld a White House meeting desperately sought by the Ukrainian President, and critical U.S. military assistance to fight Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine."[19]:8 In January 2020, the Government Accountability Office, a non-partisan watchdog, concluded that the White House broke federal law by withholding Congress-approved military aid to Ukraine.[20]
