Democratic LA Mayor Eric Garcetti says he held his breath during photo of him not wearing mask — despite local mask mandate — at NFL playoff game

Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said he held his breath while a photo was taken of him not wearing a mask during Sunday's NFC Championship Game at SoFi Stadium — the home field of the Los Angeles Rams.

NBA legend Earvin Magic Johnson posted a photo of him standing next to Garcetti during the game; neither of them is wearing a mask. But a mask can be seen in Garcetti's hand while the photo — in the top-left corner of Johnson's tweet — was snapped:

A local public health officer's order requires attendees of so-called outdoor “mega events" to wear masks at all times except when “actively eating or drinking," Deadline reported.

It has struck me, once again, the glaring difference between Democrats and Republicans, particularly MAGA Republicans. President Trump was elected because of some very specific campaign promises, which he set about fulfilling. While the Democrat party fought him tooth and nail. Glen Youngkin of Virginia (along with the new lieutenant governor and AG) ran on some very specific campaign promises, which they immediately got to work enacting. The Democrat party are fighting them tooth and nail. Not very "democratic" of the Democrats, to buck leaders elected in a democratic process.

Then you have the Biden administration, who promised "bipartisanship" and a "return to civility". Who immediately threw open our borders and is secretly seeding millions of illegal, unvetted in any way, 35% c***d positive not to mention TB and other diseases, i*****l a***ns throughout the country with no notice or agreement of local or state governments (no one v**ed for that), raised taxes (no one v**ed for that), tried to push HR1 to federalize e******ns (no one v**ed for that, and it's unconstitutional), withdrew from Afghanistan in the STUPIDEST possible way, and encourages crime and lawlessness in the name of "equity", among dozens of other boneheaded moves that at least 70% of the country is NOT on board with.

And that has been what I've seen in the last 50 years. The Democrats promise pie in the sky and deliver s**t pies. Or rather, they deliver their OWN agenda, that they don't mention much while campaigning, and that no one v**ed for, and try to sell it like crazy. I just don't comprehend how anyone can v**e for these elitist grifters

President Joe Biden said Thursday that a U.S. raid in Syria k**led the leader of ISIS.

"Last night at my direction, U.S. military forces in northwest Syria successfully undertook a counterterrorism operation to protect the American people and our Allies, and make the world a safer place," he said in a statement. "Thanks to the sk**l and bravery of our Armed Forces, we have taken off the battlefield Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi—the leader of ISIS. All Americans have returned safely from the operation. I will deliver remarks to the American people later this morning. May God protect our troops."

Earlier, the Pentagon has confirmed U.S. special operations forces carried out a what it called a "successful" counterterrorism mission in northwest Syria Wednesday, but provided few other details.

"U.S. Special Operations forces under the control of U.S. Central Command conducted a counterterrorism mission this evening in northwest Syria. The mission was successful. There were no U.S. casualties," said John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, in a statement. "More information will be provided as it becomes available."

One of the helicopters used in the mission experienced a mechanical problem and then had to be blown up on the ground by U.S. forces, according to a U.S. official.

No details were provided on who was the target of the counterterrorism mission or whether it involved ground troops and helicopters as was claimed in a flurry of social media reports emerging from Syria on Wednesday night.

Those social media posts reported possible U.S. military activity in Idlib province, a town in far western Syria, close to the border with Turkey. Some posts included videos that seemed to show night scenes where the sounds of gunfire and low-flying helicopters could be heard near the towns of Atimah and Dar Ballout.

The approximately 1,000 U.S. military troops in Syria operate in eastern Syria supporting the mission against ISIS.

American troops do not operate in government-controlled areas in northwestern Syria, especially in Idlib province, which was an extremist safe haven for much of the last decade. But they have sporadically carried out counterterrorism missions in Idlib, targeting various Islamic extremist groups with drone strikes.

The highest profile mission was a ground raid that k**led ISIS' top leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, who was hiding out in a house close to the border with Turkey, on Oct. 27, 2019.

I do think that making it against the law to sell firearms to felons and disturbed people is a good plan. I also wouldn't cry if sales of semi automatic military style assault rifles with high capacity magazines were outlawed. These guns were designed for military use, not civilian use. Nobody needs that to protect their homes. A shotgun or a pistol is all you need.

His "Build Back Better" neglected one B, for bulls**t. Most of the bill is payback to donors and pet projects. The Southern border is beyond a disaster right now, it's a catastrophe, thanks to your boy the Senile Sock Puppet. More than 2 million wetbacks, unv******ted and unvetted, allowed into this country in ONE YEAR. Trumps last year in office less than a twentieth of that number were allowed in. Gas is up more than 60%, and the propane I heat and cook with is up a little over 30percent. Inflation is the highest it's been in forty years and you think it's a coincidence? I have grown rutabagas that are less gullible than you.

I'm sick and tired of right wing lies about Biden. So far he has done a great job, especially in foreign affairs. He just had a successful operation in k*****g the leader of ISIS. He gave a real strong message about the cost of invading Ukraine. He is threatening severe sanctions against Russia in response to an invasion of the Ukraine, and shown himself a strong advocate of NATO by sending troops to those NATO countries bordering Russia. I don't know what else he could do short of going to war against Russia, and nobody wants that.
In domestic affairs, I think he has a great program in the build It Back Better bill. He just doesn't seem to have the v**es to get it past in Congress. Inflation is the big problem, not only in this country but all over the world. His ability to solve this problem is extremely limited. I'm told that the big problem is lack of chips for computers and automobiles is the major problem. It sends negative vibes all across the economy. I'm sure there are other problems as well. Some Republicans refuse to get anything introduced by Democrats passed, because Trump and others don't want to do anything that makes Democrats look good.
Trump is still making noises like the dictator wannabe he is. He's advocating giving pardons to all those that are guilty of actually invading desecrating the building itself, threatening, assaulting and murdering Capitol cops, and calling for the murder of leaders of Congress including the Speaker of the House and the VP. So much for accountability under the law. I believe that he will be indicted for at least charges related to s******n.
He still supports the big lie that he had the e******n s****n from him. That means he has no sense of remorse, which if he is found guilty by a fair trial, he will not even be considered for some kind of pardon.
