Actually I think that they are working for themselves and lining their own pockets. They come to DC with nothing and leave as millionaires.

If you look at our government track record they will screw it up. Medicaid will probably survive because that has been the poor folks umbrella for quite awhile. The republicans claim to have a plan but I haven't seen any details. If they take over the senate, house and white house there is going to be one hell of a lot of turmoil. Once government programs get established they seem to be impossible to do away with. Problem lies in our elected officials. They all (both parties and independents) have their noses so deep into the public trough and so power hungry that the only way things will change is to throw all the bums out and institute strict term limits. Also cut their pay and benefit packages. Just my thoughts. :-D

I believe he has been fighting the government for quite a few years and I would assume that he is lawyered up but maybe he is one of those rugged individualists who takes on the government by himself. He is getting a lot of support. I even heard Sean Hannity on the radio this afternoon talking about going to Vegas to support this rancher, Cliven Bundy. Our government is becoming way too big and all powerful. Time to make a change! Term limits would be a good start.
