• In 2002, Omar, then 19, religiously married Ahmed Hirsi, but not legally. Omar and Hirsi had two children, but in 2008, they obtained a religious divorce. The following year, in 2009, Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi both religiously and legally.

Little is known about Elmi, other than that Omar has referred to him as a "British citizen" and that he attended high school in the Minneapolis area and, like Omar, later attended North Dakota State University.

• In 2011, Omar and Elmi divorced religiously, but remained married legally. In 2012, Omar and Hirsi reconciled and had a third child. In 2017, Omar legally divorced Elmi, and the following year, she legally married Hirsi.

• In 2016, as Omar was seeking a state House seat, the conservative website AlphaNewsMN, followed by other ideological sites, posted a screenshot of an Instagram post — since deleted — that was allegedly uploaded by Elmi on June 12, 2012, shortly after Omar gave birth to her third child. The caption of the photograph identified Elmi as holding the baby girl, calling her "nieces." To some, this suggested a sibling relationship.

• Omar has denied the allegation that Elmi is her brother — she has called the charges "d********g lies," the AP reported — but has not provided further documentation to debunk it. She did tell the Star-Tribune in October 2018, before she was elected to Congress, that "it’s really strange, right, to prove a negative. … If someone was asking me, do I have a brother by that name, I don’t."

Louie: Sadly, our Constitution is flawed in several ways...here are a few examples: In the Preamble, it is written: We, the people of the United States in order to establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare do hereby establish and ordain this Constitution of the United States of America.//Nothing wrong there eh? Look again: "we the people" is a fallacy because at the time of its inception, Native Americans and most minorities were not even considered to be "men/people" so they were excluded from the start.
There is a phrase in the Constitution that says "we believe that all men were created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among these are the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."//Obviously, Native Indians and Africans were not considered 'equal' [b****s were only considered to be 3/5ths of a person -who in the hell came up with that?] -nor where they allowed equal access to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. Kind of hard to enjoy life when all of your back-breaking hard work went to totally support the "massa" -and your only liberty was at the whim of s***e owners who could literally do any and everything they wanted to you -there were actually laws against "excessively whipping your horse or cow" -not so for the s***e. The "pursuit of happiness" was reserved for w****s only during the time the Constitution was written. Women were not treated much better, and even today still suffer huge disparity in wages and equal rights. If we all are equal, why does the V****g Rights Act have to be renewed every 50 years when it should be a permanent right of all law abiding citizens? If the Founding Fathers were really all for e******y, why were the Native Indians forced to live on desert-like reservations with little to no food? Even today, most Native Americans are forced to live on reservations with third-world accommodations -but do not be deceived - as long as some business developer can erect a casino on their (Native Indians) land, then the Indians shouldn't complain right? If the Constitution was adhered to and enforced as it should be - how did we ever have Jim Crow, segregation and gerrymandering of our v****g system? Louie, these are just a few examples off the top of my head. Yes, I know that no one is perfect -and we have made vast improvements - but we still have a mighty, mighty long way to go. Why is it that we try to force our citizens to stand, salute and pledge allegiance to a f**g that was never designed for them? Why did we force school aged children to sing the Star Spangled Banner knowing all along that the 3rd and 4th verses support and encouraged s***ery? And why, if we're so equal, can h**e groups like Neo-N**i's and the KKK gain permits to assemble and march while stating their open h**e for people simply because they don't look like them -yet let a black athlete refuse to stand for the anthem and he is blacklisted and kept out of the work field he chose? Yet, at the same time we support the likes of Limbaugh, Alex Jones, and that Milo Yippanopolous (sp?) and call it all free speech? Finally, why was Colin Kaepernick the only NFL athlete singled out to blacklist when many players (including white guys) kneeled during the anthem? All men are created equal. Yes, America is a beacon of light in the free world -but America is by no means without her flaws....we still have much work to do.
