I first checked at the University of Colorado to donate my body a few years ago and they said that due to my weight I didn't qualify to be a donation there. I said: Well I'll be dammed....I'm not even in good enough condition to die.

Funeral Home Owners Slapped with 200 Felony Charges

Police in Oklahoma arrested the owners of an abandoned El Paso County, Colorado, funeral home, where 190 decomposing human remains were discovered on Nov. 8.

The couple, Jon and Carie Hallford, were arrested while on the run from law enforcement on charges of abuse of a corpse, theft, money laundering, and forgery, according to reporting from KRDO-TV.

Jon Hallford faces 200 felony charges related to the handling of the corpses in his funeral home, KXRM-TV reported.

Carie Hallford appeared before the District Court in Colorado Springs for an advisement hearing on Wednesday via video, KRDO-TV and NBC News reported.

Jon was t***sferred to the El Paso County Jail that day, according to KRDO-TV.

The couple were hit with the aforementioned charges a month earlier after police examined the Return to Nature funeral home’s premises in Penrose following reports of an “abhorrent smell,” The Daily Mail reported.

There, investigators uncovered 190 sets of dead remains — some as old as four years — at the premises, according to reporting from the outlet.

Using fingerprints and medical records, investigators were able to identify the bodies of 110 individuals, according to Fremont County Coroner Randy Keller, the Mail reported.

The coroner’s office is working “diligently” to identify the remaining corpses, Keller stated.

Speaking to reporters at a news conference, Keller said that around 137 families were contacted by officials and 24 corpses were returned, according to the newspaper.

Keller urged anyone who used the services of Return to Nature between September 2019 and 2023 to contact his office.

“I am relieved that criminal charges have been brought against the funeral home owner, and a criminal investigation is proceeding,” Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said in a statement shared on X.

“I know this will not bring peace to the families impacted, but we hope the individuals responsible are held fully accountable in a court of law,” the statement said.

District Judge Samorreyan Burney set the couple’s bail at $2 million cash per person during Carie’s Wednesday court appearance and Jon’s Friday court appearance, NBC News reported.

Burney declined a request by Carie’s public defender to decrease the bond to $50,000, citing Carie’s lack of criminal history, deeming Carie to be a “risk to the community,” KRDO-TV reported.

“To say my family is horrified and enraged is an understatement,” Woodland Park resident Lindsay Maher said, alleging that the funeral home gave her family “concrete dust” instead of the ashes of her grandmother Yong Anderson, according to the Mail.

“My grandma’s last wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread in the ocean,” Maher said.

“It turns out the ashes we received from Return To Nature was actually just concrete dust and my grandma’s body has been at the abandoned building this entire time just decaying next to 114 other bodies of 114 other unsuspecting families,” Maher alleged.

Mr Trump continues to haunt your minds and live in your heads so much that you can't go a single day without the agonizing fear that he will someday be president again.

Why can’t Trump's most diehard supporters just accept the fact that Biden won the Presidency instead of accepting his Big Lie about how there was fraud when there was/is no evidence

The driving force behind Trump's desire for a second term as President stems from his narcissistic personality. He firmly believes that he is the greatest human being and that everyone, including Biden, is beneath him.

Consequently, Trump is willing to resort to any means necessary to secure that second term, as he feels that he deserves it. He disregards the importance of v**e tallies, convinced that Biden cannot possibly win fairly, and thus assumes there must be fraud present. Trump's perspective allows him to justify any lies or disregard for legitimate v**es, as he believes that his statements hold t***h simply because he uttered them. His supporters, in turn, have elevated him beyond a political figure to the status of a cult leader. Engaging in logical or sensible discussions with these individuals is futile, as they no longer prioritize such reasoning. Historical examples like the Charles Manson cult, Jonestown, Heaven's Gate and even N**i Germany showcase the dangers of abandoning reason for blind devotion to a leader. Echoing the sentiments of Sidney Powell's lawyers, it is unlikely that any rational person would find her e******n f***d claims believable. Trump's following has forsaken logic, deductive reasoning, and evidence; their unwavering loyalty to their cult leader is the sole focus.

P.S. I want to add some very insightful commentary by a former Fox News contributor, Charles Krauthammer. He was not afraid to tell it like it is:

“Trump’s hypersensitivity and unedited, un-tempered Pavlovian responses are, shall we say, unusual in both ferocity and predictability. This is beyond narcissism.

I used to think Trump was an 11-year-old, an undeveloped schoolyard bully. I was off by about 10 years. His needs are more primitive, an infantile hunger for approval and praise, a craving that can never be satisfied. He lives in a cocoon of solipsism where the world outside himself has value — indeed exists — only insofar as it sustains and inflates him.”

Brilliant and spot on, Mr. Krauthammer.

Are these particular churches are no longer deserving of tax free status. They are no longer small businesses that deserve taxpayer funded jet fuel.

Karma, heaven/hell, might be rough on these charlatan leaders. Or they might come back, and I do not know, as even more charismatic.

Now I know there are many Christian’s who have higher ideals and strive in a multitude of ways to help their communities. I was a member of such a community once.

They deserve the benefit of the tax break. They help.

But the huge for profit corporations such as exampled in the pic are really sucking on the t*t of corporate greed.

A carefully crafted law could discern the difference, but at what cost the financial interest of the lawmakers?

This will be just another nail in the coffin of civilization’s experiments in governance.
