Mitch McConnell Announces He'll V**e for Gun-Control Bill Backed by All 50 Senate Democrats!!

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that he is in support of a bipartisan framework on gun safety and would likely v**e for legislation that reflects the framework.

This announcement makes McConnell the 11th Republican to voice support for the bipartisan framework on gun safety that has been under negotiation for the past several weeks, The Hill reported.

“For myself, I’m comfortable with the framework and if the legislation ends up reflecting what the framework indicates, I’ll be supportive,” McConnell told reporters.

“If this framework becomes the actual legislation, it’s a step forward,” McConnell added.

The bipartisan framework negotiations were headed by Republican Sen. John Cornyn of Texas and Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut.

Seems the GOP never read the Bill of Rights.

Ya know, salty, the lies and myths fabricated about the AR15, and semi-auto firearms in general, have been repeated so many times they are worn out, threadbare and meaningless.

These statements you made about the AR15 say it all:

"The weapon still can be bought as a semi automatic assault rifle with high speed bullets, and high capacity magazines."

"own these weapons of war"

And, in spite of the voluminous attempts by knowledgeable and experienced gun owners to set the record straight and give you accurate, factual information about this particular rifle, you are hard wired to believe the lies and the myths.

It is not possible to convince you otherwise, that isn't gonna happen.

However, I will address these points.

The AR15 IS NOT a military assault weapon.
The AR15 "can be bought as a semi automatic" because it is a semi-automatic firearm. There is no other choice.
The AR15 IS NOT a weapon of war. An M16 is a weapon of war.

Unless the ammunition is specifically manufactured as "sub-sonic", all ammunition fired from any gun exceeds the speed of sound. Even the velocity of the old 22LR bullet varies between 1200fps and 1640fps depending on bullet weight. The speed of sound is 1122fps.

If a shooter 300 yards away from you fired at you, you'd be hit a second before you heard the shot.

IOW, supersonic bullets are "high speed", and some ammo, such as the 220 Swift, exceed the velocity of the AR15 .223rem by 1000fps.

High capacity magazines for an AR15 - wh**ever that is supposed to mean to people who know nothing about guns -
is irrelevant since there are hundreds of different types of firearms that accept mags with more than 10 rounds.

And there are hundreds of different types of firearms that fire the .223rem for which the AR15 is chambered.
The AR15 does not magically impart super power and speed to this popular caliber of ammo.
Depending on the ability of the shooter, the AR15 cannot fire any faster than any other semi-auto firearm.
