How babies turn out is a crap shoot mostly depending upon the attitudes and philosophies of their parents, or whoever else may have raised the little bastards, and their environment. An unwanted child, if raised by its parents, will most likely turn out to be a miserable child of equally miserable parents and has a much better than average chance of being a problem for the criminal justice system and a financial burden on the rest of the country.

Abel, that's pretty dark. I'm not sure how to respond. I hope if you raised any kids yourself you didn't push that kind of agenda into their impressionable minds. And what about adoption by parents who will give that "little bastard" the love needed to be successful in the world?

By now you’ve likely heard -- and perhaps felt your jaw drop over -- Todd Akin’s interview, in which the Republican Senate candidate from Missouri admitted that he believes a******n should be illegal even in cases of rape, because “if it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” If you follow that logic to its end, Akin means: Ladies, if you say you got pregnant after being raped, you’re probably lying about being raped.
Of course, the scientific facts are far from being on Akin’s side, which should be embarrassing for a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. While it may be true that female ducks have evolved in such a way that they now have a biological anti-pregnancy response to forced sex, human beings most definitely have not. As the Washington Post’s Sarah Kliff notes, many scientific studies have proven that the you-only-conceive-if-aroused theory is complete bunk. In fact, one study from 2003 even showed that rape victims may be more likely to get pregnant than individuals on the whole.
Akin’s assertion doesn’t make sense in other ways, either. For instance, there’s no sensible reason for the vast majority of mentally stable women to ever “cry rape.” As Amanda Marcotte notes at the American Prospect, “Why would a woman trying to put a one-night stand behind her invite grilling by detectives and defense attorneys? Why would someone so concerned about maintaining the illusion of purity subject her sex life to examination by a crowd of jurors?”

Akin responded to the firestorm over his comments by claiming he “misspoke,” while plenty of members of the media have characterized the incident as a gaffe. But harmless gaffe it is not. As heartening as it is to see pressure for Akin to withdraw his Senate bid, there is a real concern that the situation will be forgotten when the news cycle eventually moves on. Because the reality is that this story is not merely about one inept Republican putting his foot in his mouth. Rather, Akin’s statement fits into the framework of the ongoing Republican assault on reproductive rights, and more broadly, our society’s pernicious rape culture (which is perpetuated not just by Republicans, but some self-identified progressives as well). Akin doesn’t stand alone.
The mistaken notion that one’s body can somehow elude pregnancy when not aroused dates back centuries and is still a popular myth -- though one rarely shared in public -- among some anti-choicers today.

Within hours of Akin’s remark, journalists were producing detailed accounts of similarly absurd comments on a******n, rape and birth control from GOP officials and pundits, all of which showed a complete callousness toward science and women’s autonomy. To put Akin-gate in context, here are eight of the worst that we at AlterNet could find, past and present, but the full gamut of this sort of talk goes far, far beyond the following short list.
1. Other absurd Republican contributions to the “rape doesn’t lead to babies” myth. As Anna North reported earlier this year, other Republicans paved the way for Akin’s recent statements. In 1995, Republican Henry Aldridge stated that when a woman is raped, “the juices don’t flow,” and in 1988 another Republican congressman stated that women emit “a certain secretion” that stops pregnancy when they are raped. (Which has led many of us to wonder, which is it, guys? Do these mythical juices flow, or do they stop flowing, when a woman is raped?)

2. The daddy of all these rape theories. The National Right to Life Committee’s John C. Willke’s claims in an article that the “trauma” of rape prevents pregnancy -- i.e., he “basically just makes s**t up,” writes Katie J. M. Baker at Jezebel.
3. GOP donor asks, "Want contraception? Put an aspirin between your knees." This line, now a total cultural punch line, came from Foster Friess, who was a big donor to Rick Santorum before moving on to support Romney. The video clip featuring Friess’ comments and Andrea Mitchell’s flummoxed response went v***l this spring.

Friess: This contraceptive thing, my gosh it's such inexpensive, back in my days we used Bayer aspirin for contraception, the gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly.
Mitchell: Um, excuse me, I'm trying to catch my breath from that Mr. Friess, frankly..
4. GOP lawmakers seek to legally redefine rape as “forcible rape” so fewer women will qualify as victims. Remember the media firestorm around the “war on women”? One of its major fronts consisted of congressional shenanigans around the definition of rape in the noxious H.R. 3 “No Taxpayer Funding for A******n” bill. These efforts included Akin and V.P. candidate Paul Ryan and were aimed at siphoning off the number of a******n-funding exemptions so that only the rarest few qualified. What offended women most -- and eventually scuttled the bill -- was the idea that the government could weigh whether your rape “counted” or not.
Garance Franke-Ruta explains: According to the bill, there would be exemptions only for something called "forcible rape." (Presumably, this is the same thing Willke called "assault rape" and Akin called "legitimate rape," as opposed to what Willke called "consensual" "statutory" rape.) After a public outcry, Smith retreated from his first draft of the bill and reinstituted the Hyde language, though an additional provision was added later to clarify that the bill will "not allow the Federal Government to subsidize a******ns in cases of statutory rape." Akin and Republican vice p**********l nominee Paul Ryan were co-sponsors of the bill, along with 225 others.
Since Sunday, the Romney camp has been trying furiously to distance itself from Akin, but these two names together as co-sponsors of this bill may come back to haunt Paul Ryan.
5. Another GOP lawmaker (surprise, surprise) worries that women will claim rape just to get a******ns. This March, Idaho Sen. Chuck Winder, who had already proposed that women go through two forced ultrasounds, including one at a right-wing “crisis pregnancy center,” went a step further by voicing his concern that women might use the “rape issue” to go a******n-crazy. Quoth Chuck: “Rape and incest was used as a reason to oppose this. I would hope that when a woman goes into a physician with a rape issue, that physician will indeed ask her about perhaps her marriage, was this pregnancy caused by normal relations in a marriage or was it truly caused by a rape.”

6. Pundits and lawmakers: Forced ultrasounds are OK because women already consented to be penetrated when they got pregnant. Remember the bill in Virginia that would have mandated certain kinds of invasive ultrasounds for women seeking a******ns (the kind that already exist in other states)? Well, ultraconservative pundit Dana Loesch, who has already come to Todd Akin’s defense in this round, was hostile to the basic concept that every time a person's body is penetrated, it’s mandatory to ask for consent. "They had no problem having similar to a t***svaginal procedure when they engaged in the act that resulted in their pregnancy," she said. Sadly, Loesch’s idea was not so far out of the norm: Several Virginia lawmakers basically said the same thing.
7. When women sign up for the military to hang out with aggressive dudes, they are asking to be raped. Notoriously anti-woman Fox News talking-head Liz Trotta wondered of enlisted women who were assaulted, “What did they expect?” She also blasted feminist calls for infrastructure and support to help the increasing number of women in this position. And refused to apologize.
8. Santorum and Huckabee are all about rape victims taking one for team "Life." Let's not forget our Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee, respectively, think rape victims should "make the best" of it and see the unwanted child as a gift and sometimes cool people are conceived in rape.
Some rape victims unsurprisingly see this idea as torture.
OK, so these are all pretty heinous things to say. But let’s take a deep breath and remember that rape culture doesn’t just live on the extreme right wing. From left-wing pundits who are convinced that the rape charges against Julian Assange must be trumped up, or that sex with a sleeping woman doesn’t constitute rape, to the mainstream pop culture writers who have long sought to minimize or dismiss acquaintance rape as “grey rape” or not real rape, to local and national law enforcement that don't know how to handle victims properly, there’s a long continuum of thought that creates rape culture. Rape culture posits sex as a t***saction with women’s sexuality as a passive object either given or taken, rather than a consensual exchange. Most important, rape culture puts the onus on victims to prevent rape rather than on potential perpetrators not to do it. Rape culture produces comments like Todd Akin's, and then seeks to sweep them under the rug once the news cycle is over.

Bull to planned parenthood donations, I would say an outright lie, so prove it's not a lie. How do I know it's a lie? Planned Parenthood is paid for by grants, you cannot donate Federal grants to political campaigns. Again, accounting is like statistics. What dollars go to what expense is all smoke and mirrors. With over $500 million in "grants" to spend for things NOT related to funding Democrat campaigns, they get to spend money received via other means to do just that. Your argument is specious at best.

As for what the government's role in reproduction should be - how about no role at all? My personal belief is that a******n is a mistake - but I don't demand that someone who feels differently be prevented for exercising their right to do what they want to their bodies. What I object to is the government taking money from me and providing it to that other person to make it easier for them to execute (yeah, that's the word) their "choice".

As for who "controls the government". After 8 years of the Democrats stacking the courts, and important positions throughout government - you resent our attempts to take advantage of a victory in 2016. Sounds a little selfish of you.

When my friend came down with cancer a few years ago I did a massive barbecue fundraiser event to raise money to help pay for his meds and treatments. He had a roller coaster ride and it finally the cancer went into his pancreas. And a week later he was gone. He left so many friends behind. One of the friendliest people in the world and all he did was bring good things into people's lives. Remind you of anybody? Frank Covino died a couple of years before Jeff did. The whole ordeal only reinforced my love and dedication to Jesus Christ. That's why I only speak and share t***h. He's coming back my friends he said so in the good book. Another friend of mine who happen to be a lifetime friend of Jeff fell through the ice when he was 9 years old and then again when he was about 18. The second time he spent almost 30 minutes under the ice. And he told me about his out-of-the-body experience and he saw the garden. He describes it as something more beautiful than anything he's ever seen. Oddly enough he had the same dream both times he was under the ice and should have died both times. He was sent back twice. And that experience that he had both times when he put down his book and walked into the garden somebody said hey you're not supposed to be here you have to go back. And he woke up in the emergency room surrounded by his friends. One of the most profound stories I've ever heard my life. To look into the Man's eyes you would not doubt that he has been to the other side. Which led to me to become a crusader for t***h. I found my champion almost 30 years ago. But I've had profound experiences between then and now and I feel I have to share it. Oddly enough my friend Jeff brought nothing but good things into this world, and he was taken by an aggressive form of cancer. The Christ brought good things into this world and was taken out my man. Cowardly men who are afraid of him. A kind of man who hurt nobody but they could not control him. Jesus did not fear the Romans the way the s***es did. And I think we all know the rest of the story. It's the real deal people. God so loved his children that he would send his only son to bring the message and the word of God so that we will know. One more thing. There was a big divide between the Jewish people in the Jews that run Wall Street. The Jews that run Wall Street have completely sold out their country and people. Those who run Wall Street and the Federal Reserve and the alphabet agencies have all taken the wrong path in life. America is mentioned in the Bible and is referred to as mystery Babylon. In mystery Babylon it's fate would come up on it in one hour. In the whole world will witness this. So many people out there go to church read the Bible and never get the message. With everything that is going on in the world today does anybody have any doubts that it is as in the times of Noah? I am prepared for the final battle. I just hope that my Lord champion and savior gets here before I have to enter the battlefield. I had to share this. Peace out!

For 500million Planned Parenthood provides wellness exams and comprehensive contraceptive services, as well as screenings for cancer and sexually t***smitted diseases for both women and men, not just in the states but also internationally...it is global benefitting millions, especially on the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. Unwanted children are far more costly and a burden on the system, many who go on to commit crimes and are then paid for through our recently invented private prison systems, yet still through the taxpayer fitting that bill also.

But since you are obviously smarter than the average bear, you know as well as most of us what statistics are and how they are manipulated by people from both sides of this argument.

Note: Some of what I put here comes from
https://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/05/media-hides-fact-planned-parenthood-does-40-of-a******ns/
https://www.sba-list.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Fact-Sheet-Planned-Parenthoods-2016-2017-Annual-Report.pdf
http://thefederalist.com/2018/09/17/7-lies-planned-parenthoods-new-president-pushed-view/

Example: Breaking down and counting each incidental piece of the process for each woman, PP is able to inflate the number of non-a******n services provided to their clientele. Planned Parenthood’s claim that only 3 percent of its business is a******n is no different than if a car dealership claimed that it wasn’t really in the business of selling cars because the number of new car sales was only a fraction of its total services provided (financing cars, repairing cars, providing manufacture recommended maintenance for cars, cleaning car, and so forth). Of course no one would believe such an outrageous claim. Sure, a car dealership does all of those things, but its purpose is to sell cars. The same for PP, since it derives roughly 50% of it's clinic income from a******n

Example: In the 2016-2017 fiscal year, Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 a******n procedures. This is fewer than pregnancy tests (1,071,642), breast exams (336,614), reversible contraception (1,854,518), emergency contraception (730,329), and STI testing and treatment (4,434,039), and indeed, it is about 3.3 percent of total services rendered, according to their 2016 report. If you only tally up preventative services (e.g., excluding line items such as adoption referrals, emergency contraception, and treatments for urinary tract infections), the percentage of preventative care services out of the total services is about 76.5 percent, not 90 percent. In any case, dividing total services by a******n procedures is a misleading way to characterize the role a******n plays in Planned Parenthood’s business model.

Example: So is a******n (of any kind) a revenue stream for Planned Parenthood? The cost of a chemical a******n (i.e., the a******n pill) ranges from $300 to $800, according to the American Pregnancy Association. A second-trimester a******n could be over $2,000. According to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control, 91.5 percent of a******ns are performed in the first trimester, 7.2 percent are induced in the second trimester, and 1.3 percent are in the third trimester.

So if we take a middle estimate, like $550, for the cost of first-trimester a******ns, assuming Planned Parenthood a******ns follow the overall distribution among first, second, and third trimesters, we get $161,736,498 of revenue. If we take $1,500 as a reasonable estimate for second-trimester a******ns (we’ll lump in third trimester since the percentage is so small), we get another $40,976,460 of revenue. In total, that’s an estimated $202,972,958 Planned Parenthood made off a******ns in 2016 alone. Planned Parenthood makes an estimated $203 million off a******n. Now, apply that to their revenue statement.

Total Planned Parenthood revenue from services was $861.8 million in the 2016-2017 fiscal year (sum of line items 1 and 2 on page 34 of the report; i.e. excluding donor revenue but including any government grants they receive, since they don’t provide a separate figure for that). This means that, by my rough estimate, a******ns account for one-quarter (23.5 percent) of Planned Parenthood’s revenue from services rendered. If you include “other operating revenue” ($65.1 million) in the total, a******ns still bring in 22 percent of total non-donor revenue.

Example: Over 46 percent of its $1 billion total annual revenue comes from the government – from our tax dollars. According to Planned Parenthood, of this taxpayer funding, about $70 million comes through the federal government’s Title X funding – providing free birth control (including to minors) - and yes that includes males.

Example: Stats reported in 2016
- Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 a******ns in 2016 and more than 1.6 million a******ns (1,628,550) over the past five reported years (2012-2016)
- In 2016, a******ns made up 96% of Planned Parenthood’s pregnancy resolution services, while prenatal services, miscarriage care, and adoption referrals accounted for only 2.3% (7,762), 0.4% (1,182) and 1.2% (3,889), respectively.
- Prenatal services dropped nearly 18% in 2016 and more than 60% over the past five reported years.
- For every adoption referral in 2016, Planned Parenthood performed more than 82 a******ns. Over the past five reported years, the ratio was approx. 126 a******ns for every adoption referral.
- According to the last five years of data from Planned Parenthood’s own annual reports:
o Total services are down nearly 13%.
o Total cancer screening and prevention services have dropped by more than 41%, including declines of approximately 39% for breast exams and 43% for pap tests.
o Contraceptive services are down nearly 28%.
o Unique patients have dropped by 600,000 – a 20% decline.
o Approximately 100 (14%) of Planned Parenthood facilities have closed their doors.
So non-a******n services go down, the number of a******ns increase, as does the amount of direct support from the government.

Example: Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, was a eugenicist who worked tirelessly to promote a******n and contraception among the black population, convinced that doing so could effectively cull “inferior races” from the human gene pool. Sanger opened her first a******n clinics in inner cities with a high concentration of minorities, and still today, 79 percent of PPs a******n facilities are still located in black and other minority neighborhoods.

Example: Planned Parenthood donates millions of dollars to elect Democrat candidates in federal, state, and local e******ns. Without the government's largess this would not be possible - and exactly why are they doing this if it isn't to help elect those who would continue to expand the flow of dollars to their empire?

Jesus said to embrace them and we should, since we've all done things in our lives that make us unworthy of His mercy.

Matthew 22:37-40, "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

There is a reason for the order (1 and 2) and my comment about core problems is that as a society, we're doing everything in our power to eradicate the first commandment.

The Qualifications for President of the United State

Those of you who worry about Democrats versus Republicans -- relax, here is our real problem.

In a Purdue University classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States. It was pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair it was of the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president.

The class was taking it in and letting her rant, and not many jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, "What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?"

Yep, these are the same kinds of 18-year-olds that are now v****g in our e******ns! They breed, and they walk among us.

And then eventually they become members of Congress!

The Lord's Prayer Is not allowed in most US Public schools any more.
A kid in Minnesota, wrote the following

NEW School Prayer:
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State..

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles...
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

While it fits many a right wing rant.. i also feel it has t***h to it..
