The link I provided shows the variations in the breed, along with the history and current working habits. Were you unable to get to the page, or do you simply want me to copy the data onto this site?

There are several "blue labradors" I have seen in the obedience ring that I always thought were undocked Wyms, but could also be Lacy dogs, same type. They are always listed with a PAL number (purebred, alternate registry) so pedigrees would be hard to track. Mix breeds and PAL dogs are now shown in obedience and rally as long as they are spayed or neutered. I am really curious about the Lacy now, looks like a handsome dog.

Times change. At the time the bible was written, s***ery was an acceptable normal part of life. God did not create us to stagnate in our growth. He made us with the ability to think, to mature, and evolve in his love. Had He intended for us to stay primitive, then he would have created us without the ability to discern good from evil. But, he created us with free will, ability to think and reason, the ability to grow and understand His laws. We are still children, we have not learned everything and still have much growing to do. In a thousand years, do you think that it is possible for humans to look back on this time and ponder how barbaric it is to wage war? How about advancement in medicine, do you think that we will develop ways to cure diseases such as Aids and consider our present methods as akin to practicing witchcraft? Do you think that they may think that a******n may be considered a horrendous act committed against children or even might see it as primitive sacrifice to a god called selfishness? And might it be possible that many of the laws and taxes we endure may be viewed as a form of s***ery?

What I find interesting about this is that many Christians find it easy to disavow s***ery and the treatment of women in the Old Testament but not the treatment of gays. Why should I be any more offended by homosexuals than I am by people eating beef on Friday since both are condemned in the Old Testament?

S***ery is not a thing of the past. We have s***ery here in the United States. Most countries have s***ery. Wherever there is a GOVERNMENT, s***ery exists. Governments make s***es of the citizens. We are allowed to do wh**ever the government says we can do. We can be imprisoned for doing something the government says we may NOT do. No citizen gets to v**e on IRS regulations, but disobeying those regs can land you in prison. No citizen gets to v**e on EPA regs, but government can imprison you for not bowing to those regs. What makes you think s***ery is not alive and well? Here in the United States?

Real attractive working dogs. Here is a pix or two.

Do you have any links that show what a "Lucy" dog is? I've done some searches and can't find anything and am just curious as to what one looks like and their breed line.
Thanks

I do not think that w***e A******ns will ever be allowed to put the past behind. S***ery and what happened so many years ago is consistently put under the nose and the face pushed into it; over and over and over. It is different in Germany and with Jews in general. We know what happened, we can go visit those places where it happened, but most Jews do not. Many Germans go, but it is not a daily topic or even an occasional topic. History is acknowledged and along with that a desire to move forward. It is different with most b****s in the US. They do not seem to want to move forward. Each step they take, they stop and pack the old baggage and carry it like a weight that slows their progress. While they pack that baggage, they leave little or no room for progress. They do not seem to want to move past s***ery. It seems to be the center of their existence.

It isn't about being stuck in the past, it's about remembering it, as an aid to continue the good things and avoid the bad. You are right though, the days of shame and endless apology are over, however, by not being reminded, we can slide down those slippery slopes again.

It's too bad that there aren't monuments to remind people to v**e, or the Gov. not to snoop, but then, there ARE monuments about the horrors of war - and that hasn't slowed us down any.

I am so glad that I have gotten to know more about you! My daughter, Duckie, found a cat in our barn just when the bad weather was hitting. She talked my brother into allowing the cat inside because she was pregnant. The cat had mated with a wild cat. So, some of her babies were like little bob cats. We found homes for all, because Duckie wanted to keep a kitten. Now we have my Maine Coon/Persian mix and a baby. My cat, Mr. Boot, thinks the kitten belongs to him; he spend time in g***ming and playing and at night they curl up on either my bed or Duckie's. I think that my daughter's heart for animals is as soft, if not softer, than mine and I can not tolerate the abuse of any animal.

I love the cat's name. That is just too cute! My husband had a sense of humor, he once rescued a kitten from the river and named it "Mud."

Your welcome. I believe all animals should be cared for. I've got a couple stray cats that are now mine. Someone dumped them. One (Bonkers), name fits. Very pretty Manx cat but boy is she warped. Had her five years now. At least the last owner fixed her before dumping her. My youngest daughter found her almost starved to death. Then my oldest daughter brought me Sabrina last summer. Another fixed crazy cat. She's getting use to us finally.

Yes it is. She is buried under her favorite tree. Each month I go out and trim the grass in the spring and summer, in winter I can still almost see her with the kids and it was not just mine, but my kid's friends; sliding down that hill laughing and the dog at their heels. I remember her with love, because that is what she was. May she rest in peace.

What a wonderful walk down memory lane!!

I am not so sure about his politics, but I do know about him. He is and always has been a great supporter of minority health programs. It would stand to reason that he would support another program that is minority centered. Everyone ignores that the real reason for socialized medicine was to cover minorities who traditionally did not buy insurance and relied on emergency rooms for acute care.

Dr. Sullivan may be opening the gap in the party of the stupid regarding the ACA, which is NEVER going to be repealed

You will not find any pit bulls where I live. But, thank you. Should I be called for another rescue of these dogs, I will be able to refer them on to help.

I too had a Doberman, a wonderful friend and as gentle as a lamb. She let my boys climb on her and she loved to go sledding with the kids. She would chase them to the bottom of the hill and then pull the sled back to the top for them. She was funny, her maternal instinct was so strong that she adopted kittens and allowed them to nurse. She would carry those kitten around in her strong mouth and they were never harmed. She died of real old age; she was 19. The whole family cried as though we had lost a human member of the family. She was the smartest dog we ever owned and all her commands were in German. I took her with me when I assigned overseas. Always felt that she understood everything I said to her. That is a great memory, thank you for reminding me.

Thank you. You too have earned my respect.

I do not agree with you in 99.9 percent of the time. However, when you are right; you are right! I have to agree with you, if people do not like what Bo says or the manner in which he presents his side, move on to a post that you can make a reasonable input. Bo does not ask and I have not seen him demand anyone agree with him, he is very reasonable when treated as an equal without calling him names. Of course he will respond in the same manner he is addressed.[/quote

My respect for you grows.
You've hit the nail on the head.

Bo Jester's only problem is that he gives as good as he gets, a trait which I respect.
All those programs, like Pit Bulls and parolees is a sham. They are so heavily scripted so is the Dog Whisper. Surely you are the only one in America that still watches that stuff and think it is real. Wow! Regardless, there are plenty of Pit Bulls that are good pets. I would not want people just to give up their animals; but you can see the sanity of having all of them neutered. Right? And those that have bitten people to have the canine teeth removed. It is safe for the dog and no one has to lose their best friend.

To counter the starting article: It was on the news the other day about a pit bull that saved his family from a fire. He wouldn't leave until all of the family was out of the house. He was badly burned.
A girl walking down the road with her pit. Man pulls up and tries to kidnap her. She and the pit are fine. The cops are looking for someone with several holes in his leg. I have heard many of these stories.
