I agree with you, but I would modify your statement thusly:

All legally cast v**es need to be counted if the will of the people is to be recognized. This is freedom and it is patriotic to guarantee this freedom"

It would be nice, tho if someone would RE-FUND what the pols have stolen from social security. Its already been cut. I, personally, would have to live to 110 just to get the money my employers and I have paid in over the last 50 years, and are still paying in ( still working at 67, no end in sight)
Just like the many bailouts over the years, it's outright theft, and there are very few on either side who are innocent of this chicanery. I'm 66 and still on the job. I'd like to retire while my health is still relatively good. I don't want to go from work to rocker to grave. But we need to make sure we take steps to provide for our spouses so they don't suffer after we retire. Each year it's "oh hell...I can go another one".

The Republican party wants to cut these programs in order to pay for a 2.5 TRILLION DOLLAR give away for the wealthy, that already have more money than they can spend in their live time. Republicans use these programs, many republicans are retired and rely on these programs to survive, but they v**e republican and injure themselves financially. The Democrats just saved these fools from their own bad choices. SO YES, Let's talk about who's dumb. How many Proud Dumb Republicans do we have out there that think it's a good idea to increase the deficit by 2.5 Trillion dollars to benefit the rich minority and then turn around and hurt the less fortunate majority? At one point Trump said this tax cut "Is really going to hurt me", but it turns out, he benefited by millions of dollars. What a surprise. And you want to call someone dumb that is looking out for their family's best interest. Look in the mirror and repeat "DUMB".

"Republicans want to CUT SOCIAL SECURITY and MEDICARE" ... but we're the dummies ... The t***h of the matter is that if no changes are made to these 2 programs, they will either be gone completely in a generation or maintaining them will bankrupt the country. Democrats and Republicans, when they are not running for office both agree that these 2 programs must be brought under control which means we must take action to limit how fast they are expanding. You'll still spend more each year, but the growth is slowed. And for heavens sake, quite providing these benefits to people who should not have them! And as far as the Department Of Education goes, I can't think of a department that takes so many dollars, does so little, and whose results are so awful (http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/02/15/u-s-students-internationally-math-science/ ranked 24th in Science, 39th in Math, and 24th in Reading). Do you honestly think we'd be doing worse if the DOE was abolished? I don't see how that's even possible. But don't listen to me - hell, I'm "DUMB"!

Take the Second Amendment, was it written for Muzzleloading rifle’s or A.R. 15 semi automatic rifles? What does a well regulated m*****a mean? When issues related to the 2nd amendment make it to SCOTUS, the constitution will win out. And for all you who argue that "it was designed for very inaccurate single shot muzzle loaders", I call you attention to https://www.t***hrevolt.org/commentary/2nd-amendment-it-muskets-only which details some of the weapons available at the time:

But finally the good stuff, the guns. Turns out that by the time the 2nd amendment was written, assault weapons already existed.

-Yep just take the Belton Flintlock developed during the revolutionary war that could fire 20 or so rounds in 5 seconds with one pull of the finger.

-Or the Girandoni Rifle, where a 22 high capacity round magazine accurately could be fired within 30 seconds created during the revolutionary war which was later used by Thomas Jefferson to famously outfit the Lewis and Clark expedition.

- Or even the Puckle Gun early gatling gun created 60 years before the revolutionry war.

- Heck even the Pepper Box revolvers some could hold over 20 rounds and were developed hundreds of years before the founding fathers.

Not only were the founding fathers aware of these weapons, they were FANS for crying out loud.
A semi-automatic rifle (AR-15) shoots 1 round at a time. Just sayin'...

You surprise me more than most, I don't see you as a someone who is radical right and without reason. I'm just sorry you don't see Trump as what he really is and his real agenda, as I've said, look at the bills he's put in place or rescinded and who benefits.

One other thing Trump is literally going against our government's own checks and balances, him manipulating the Republican slant on the Supreme Court, and to every person in an official capacity position to do a proper investigation on him. Now he's working on getting Mueller off the investigation, what does that tell you?

"manipulating the Republican slant on the Supreme Court"...really...you get to say that after Obama put up Sotomayor and Kagan. Because Justice Kennedy was a liberal-lite, the Supreme Court legislated from the bench for all kinds of progressive activities and causes. But, no, Trump is manipulating the court. Bolshoi! And you don't have a clue other than MSM and Democrat rantings about what's going to happen to Mueller at this point.

See there's one I fell for too, then I found this article while I was noodling around
http://www.agweek.com/business/agriculture/4524752-casselton-soybean-pile-draws-senate-race-attention-confusion-abounds
And once again, something taken completely out of context used as "evidence" to support someone's agenda.

Look, I have no doubt that there has been some pain as a result of President Trump's tariffs. Steel, Aluminum, grain, wh**ever. But the situation as he found it was that we were slowly being screwed by China, Mexico, and Canada among other trade partners and a reset was needed. Now you can negotiate til Ruth Bader Ginsberg finally leaves the Supreme Court, but it won't get you anywhere. Why should our trade partners do anything to change the status quo that is currently in their favor (relatively speaking). So drastic action is required. And it's too soon to know how disruptive it's all been. There's a ton of anecdotal information, but we'll need to get on the other side of our new trade deals to know what's really going on. And there will be a deal with China soon enough because if you look at their economy, you'll see the "tariff war" is hurting them a lot more than it is hurting us.

I gotta say though, that picture was smartly used. Unfortunately, as my good friend Fox Mulder said, "The T***h Is Out There".

And it appears both corn and soybeans were under-produced lately https://agfax.com/2018/05/14/grain-markets-2018-19-outlook-for-corn-and-soybeans/ so the marketplace looks good for either. Just a question of logistics for the individual farmer.

Democrats on virtually every committee in the House of Representatives are ready to take control now that they find themselves in the majority after the midterms.
After nearly a decade in the minority and two years with no power to pursue oversight of the Trump administration, Democrats have prepared themselves to be the ones in charge.

Their biggest concern is that if they pursue Trump administration oversight too aggressively it will hurt their party in the 2020 e******ns.
Staff level discussions have been taking place for several weeks about how Democratic-led committees would divide the work that needs to be done. For example,
They will investigate whether the Trump’s family has profited from his presidency.
They will investigate ethics questions concerning the behavior of his Cabinet secretaries.
They will investigate Trump policies like family separations along the southern border, as well as the improper use of military troops.
One thing Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic House leaders will be doing is helping each committee coordinate their efforts. They can’t be seen to overreach in their zeal to hold Trump accountable, so investigations must be targeted and must result in tangible results.
Democrats know that attacking every controversy in the Trump administration could backfire politically and their chances of keeping the majority in 2020.
Here are some of the major areas Democrats will investigate when they take control in January:
Trump’s tax returns
A top goal for Democrats has always been to see Trump’s personal tax returns. Nancy Pelosi told the the San Francisco Chronicle’s editorial board last month that getting those returns is “one of the first things we’d do.”
Last night we reported:
“Now that they have won the House, Democratic sources on the House Ways and Means Committee have announced that Democrats are going to request Trump’s tax returns.”
Most Americans want to see these returns, and Trump defied norms when he refused to release them during his campaign.
Also, Democrats are prepared for a legal battle to obtain the returns. The new House Ways and Means Chairman will be Richard Neal, a Massachusetts Democrat, and he has also said that getting those returns will be one of his highest priorities.

“I think we would all be comfortable if this was done on a voluntary basis,” Neal said. “If they would resist the overture then I think you could probably see a long and grinding court case.”
Contacts between Russia and the Trump campaign
After Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee ended their Russia investigation in March, the committee’s Democrats said they would continue the probe if they took over control. So they now are poised to ramp up the Russia probe in a major way.
The panel’s ranking Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff, will be the new committee chairman. He has previously laid out a road map explaining where he would take the investigation.
He will now have the power to call witnesses and issue subpoenas. He said there are eight areas he wants to investigate, and more than 30 officials that Republicans did not interview.
He also has a list of document requests he plans to send to a large number of companies. He said he would subpoenas numerous senior Trump officials, including Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon.
Other matters
Rep. Jerry Nadler, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee has also discussed areas he will want to look into when he takes over as chairman. Nadler said he would like to probe Russian meddling, Michael Cohen’s payments to women, potential obstruction of justice charges, and Trump’s personal and business finances. He also may hold hearings looking into various charges against new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Nadler’s committee would be in charge of a potential impeachment process but he has been careful to say he’s not planning to move forward on impeachment yet.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will be led by Baltimore Rep. Elijah Cummings, and he has often said he plans to immediately open hearings on President Trump’s violation of the emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution.
There will be other areas that Democrats will want to investigate once they take charge. But just the list presented here should be more than enough to keep Donald Trump awake, and to make him realize that a new day has dawned in Washington, D.C., and he can expect from now on that he will be held accountable for everything that he does.
https://www.politicususa.com/2018/11/07/heres-what... (show quote)
Yeah, don't bother legislating or trying to solve the problems we face - if we can just halt the President from doing anything else while he fights all these investigations, then by God, we've followed the will of the people. Bullcookies!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I've found myself out over my skis after I swallowed a biased story from our side that needed some perspective. That's one of the things that really torques my jaws. The media (all sides, call them wh**ever) all have an agenda and accurate reporting has suffered as a result. They gin us up against each other when the t***h is usually that rather than a huge chasm between us, there's a few issues that could probably be worked out if not for all the rancor.

The amount of v**es that have been purged for the "signature mismatch" technicality (which was struck down by Georgia by the way) is ludicrous, it's tens of thousands of v**es from early and provisional v**es.
