If you want true gun control the authorities need not look to the legal owner that does it by the book and respects gun ownership... Rather than go after the law abiding citizens does it not make more sense and impact to go after the criminals.??.

Clean up the streets. Nail the underground gun market. Stop the intrusion of gunrunners in and out of Mexico. Enforce the laws on the books, if you commit a crime with a gun it’s 20 to life and make no exception to it, don’t plea-bargain these i***ts out.. hit the gang leaders that’s swap out guns all the time some for favors, others for money and others for drugs.
