An economy that is working properly will pay that back quickly. If people are working, they’re paying taxes.

This economy does not run like your personal checkbook.
It is the opposite.
By investing money into the country , the payback is enormous. If you're against free college, keep in mind that the college educations garner larger paychecks that benefit the government in taxes. The small price paid for free college comes back in taxes tenfold. Somewhere we lost these ideals. Today, private enterprises are collecting all of the benefits.
Once out of college students owe an average of $250,000.
The owners of the college got the money before the government and still do.
Students are left with working 2 jobs and still unable to pay off college debt.
If there was no college debt, they would be making money buying things and paying taxes.
Simple Keynesian.
Reagan’s VooDoo Economics only benefited the top 20%.
Stop buying the oligarchical Lies.
They only want to keep their money and let you pay for it.

We were all big on our having wind power at up to something like 40% of our production, or so I'm told. I doubt that high but still. In freezing and icey conditions the blades ice up and cause them to become unbalance which could shake them apart. I doubt that can be fixed without a huge environmental impact, not to mention the carbon signature of producing them and disposing of them when they "die." It's the same for electric cars. Do away with oil and gas and electric cars don't get made and don't get charged.

We in Texas are also over run with imported peoples from all over and so we build houses by the thousands. Heck, we build communities before there are roads to handle them. It's been that way since the 70's. We never "winterized" like the blame namer's are saying we should have done. We didn't have the people. And these storms are very rare and our greatest need for power is in the hot months. One doesn't winterize for the dog days of summer.

This big blame game is nothing more than political BS. However, one does wonder why huge downtown areas are lit up and heated while surrounding neighborhoods are going without power! Is the Houston mayor a democrap? Is Austin's?

Those of us in the older neighborhoods of Dallas had very little problems other than those of us who have some pipes break after the thaw. That is because we are constantly bombarded during the spring and summer months with storms and excessive heat. The big blackouts are in the new burb's where the new construction is. We can work to fix that but no one could have been actively prepared for it, to be perfectly honest. We learn by doing.

At least we didn't send C***d patients into nursing homes! At least we didn't participate in the e******n of the Biden disaster!! We also don't have teacher unions but that is not a solved problem again, to be honest.

Abbott will get the blame and the new l*****ts and those of the rest of the judgmental country's l*****t media will support that since he is a republican; them hoping to change us to a blue state. Heaven forbid!

Either way, We in Texas, those of us who have been hear all of our lives, view our state as unique and separate from the rest of the States, no offense. We will fix our grid and our power problems despite the politization by the l*****t media of the interwave world.
