Jesus said I didn't come to destroy the law, but fulfill it. how can you sacrifice for sins today. this was part of the laws. there is no temple. it was destroyed in 70 a.d. once a year someone in a family had to come to Jerusalem and offer a sacrifice for sins. this was called the atonement. when Jesus Christ said love thy God with all thy heart, mind and sole, that automatic cover the first 4 commandants. He also said love thy neighbor as thyself. this cover 5 more of them. now that leaves the Sabbath commandment. In the book of Hebrews, it stated let no man judge you concerning the Sabbath. the early church worship on Sunday. The book of Acts states that Paul stop off a troas on Sunday and preached.

Paul in romans chapter 13 verses 8 thru 10 lists commandments against our fellow man. Thou shall not k**l, steal, bear false witness and covet this covers 4 of the original 10. honor your father and mother was part of the Sabbath but that part of it is still in effect today. yes aug, you are exactly right. the law was for the jews, but the grace message given to all, by Paul. there is no way the laws can be done today. there is no temple to sacrifice in. the 1st season was for the jews(law) 2nd season was (grace) for both jews and gentiles.

auggreatex, I take all my belief from the Old and New Testament. In the thirty one years of Bible study I have studied other religions and cults and compared them to the Bible and they all come up short. No other religions have any prophecy that came true. Examples Mormons founder joseph smith stated the rapture would come before he died. Never happened. Jehovah Witness predicted the world would end on a certain time, over and over again. Never happen. Research other religions and cults on the internet and compare them to the Holy Bible, or just asked me about any certain religion or cult, it will take up to much time to cover all here. About law verses grace. we are not under any law today, only grace. This is Paul's teaching given to him by Jesus Christ(gal. chapter 1). The book of eph. states this was a mystery given to Paul only. Even Peter had a problem with this gospel , whereas he stated that it was hard to understand (2nd. peter verses 15 and 16. Why didn't God give this mystery to Peter or others. God states the things reveal by Him and the things reveal to us is ours(Deut. chp. 29 verse 29). Paul states that by the work of the flesh there is no salvation. He also states only by grace a free gift(nothing you can work for), it is a free gift. Going to Church, joining a church, being baptize, taking communion or any other kind of work is in vain The jews have to come to salvation by grace. The Bible never mention denominations. The different folds you mention simply means different Christians that were coming in later generations. All the cults I mention have works in them before you can be saved and many state you have to keep working to keep your salvation. We should do works for rewards, that we get when we get to heaven, but work is not for keeping your salvation in check. Once we received the gift of salvation, there is no way God will let go of us. However, we can turn our backs on it and walk away. We have that choice. We are not robots. Any one keeping or believing the doctrines of the cults I mention will be lost. thanks jack
