I too am glad all the old timers are on their way out. That allows the grandchildren to build a world they want to see, instead of pretending some good old days (that never existed except in their fathers' delusional imaginations) based on a dog eat dog, my way or the highway form of social organization is the only legitimate way to live. They would organize as they see fit, as is their right as Americans.

So yes...go gently into the night, and don't rage against the dying of the light. You've raged plenty in your life and the hatred for your fellow Americans shows clean through.

I agree. The reason we were stuck with McCain and Flake was the alternative was some socialist, c****e, left wing America h**er.

I disagree, Hillary was the one who worshiped power. She would do anything for power or money. Want to talk to the Secretary of State? Huh? Do you? Donate a million to the Clinton Foundation and I'll check my calendar, says Hillary Clinton.

The 9th or 4th circus.

Great, pass the law and have the Supreme Court rule on it. That would end things one way or the other for good. If we are indeed a nation of laws, let's enforce them.

Obama politicized every aspect of government he could. He worked especially hard at turning the FBI and the Intelligence Community into Democrat Party strongholds. Clapper, Comey, and Mueller. All owned and operated by the DNC under Obama.

At least President Trump's VP isn't Lyndon Baines Johnson. I believe Johnson was up to his ears in the assignation of the first president I ever v**ed for, JFK. JFK would be thought of as being far too conservative to ever be electable by Democrats today. Remember what he said? "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." No Democrat today would ever support a statement like that. Today it's "What can I DEMAND from my government for free?"

Gman Terry, I, also, grew up then in a small rural southern community and I agree it was a better time than today. One thing I miss so much is knowing my fellow Americans are loyal to our nation and fellow citizens first, foremost, always. Today, it seems clear that our leaders (congress) and millions of our citizens value only foreigners, even at the expense of Americans. I simply cannot understand the reason behind this terrible let-the-world-in view except to see it as a push to totally change America into a third world, poverty stricken, violence ridden subsidiary of corrupt, cartel controlled Mexico. What is most puzzling to me, is why so many Americans would actively push for such a horrible future for their descendants. Do they not think? Do they not care?

Funny thing Maryjane, I ask a friend exactly the same question last week. I ask him what exactly is the left's end purpose in destroying our history, our heritage our statues and the reputation of our forefathers? Are they trying to erase America from the world? We were and still appear to be the place most of the world wants to live. Why does the left want to destroy everything? Lets not forget the Military and the Police. They want them gone too. I think the weapon they are using that is most effective is m**************m and bilingualism. Both are extremely devisive to the future that made us great. A culture where we worked together, supported each other and embraced the American principles of self reliance and a work ethic. Welfare was not a career choice.

"I'm 75 and Tired" Worth reading...

I'm 75, Except for brief period in the 60's when I was in the Navy, I've worked hard since I was 14. Except for some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years (Hungover Several Times However!). I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men k*****g their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims r**ting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the g*****ls of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach h**e in Australia , New Zealand , UK, America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight g****l w*****g, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-wh**ever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 75. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughters and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

Don, I'm older than you but I have told my friends many times exactly what you said. And you and I, are extremely fortunate to have lived in this country when we were the very best the world had to offer. I was born into poverty but thanks to capitalism and hard work my family and myself have solidly joined the middle class with all the perks. I'm retired, I have two cars and my home is paid off. I live well. However when I was young I loved my freedom. I had a Rottweiler named Shep and he and I wandered all over Durand Eastman Park in Irondequiot, N.Y. when I was eight years old. The park is a huge woodland with four lakes. There were no leash laws, just a boy and his dog enjoying freedom. My Mom never worried about me because she knew Shep would protect me. I delivered papers from the time I was eight until I graduated from High school. The Democrat and Chronicle, and the The Times Union. Morning and night routes. What can a kid do now to earn money and learn responsibility? It was a better time and we ALL, both Democrats and Republicans were Americans and proud of it. At Durand Eastman Grammar School, we started every assembly with the 23rd Psalm. We joined the Point Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department at 16 with great p***e. We never locked our doors and we had no real crime. We were integrated and we had black kids in our classes. Education was universal. When I went to college we were taught how to think for ourselves, not like now where students are taught what to think, not how to think. Different place, different time and it was the very best the world could offer. I'm glad I'm old. I don't want to be here when America is destroyed by one world government and socialism. We lost our way as a nation when I was in Vietnam and the hippies like Manson began taking over the country. Hippies and drugs have destroyed what was once the shining star of mankind, the United States of America.

The Democrat party platform is open border, sharing the wealth and citizenship for all, including radical Muslims. Your party's candidate who got screwed by Crooked nHillary openly advocated socialism and the destruction of capitalism. That, is c*******m.

And your previous remark about "loose women" is just obscene and totally uncalled for. What causes you liberals to make remarks like that?

And because he was in a city that puts i*****l a***ns above citizens he figured, correctly, that he could do wh**ever he pleased. He had been coddled and embraced by San Francisco previously so he knew he would get away with it... and he did. Democrats love i******s for one reason, they hope to give them all citizenship and they will become Democrat v**ers. If they achieve that goal they, the Democrats will own the Executive branch of government for a generation or more. They willingly throw American citizens under the bus every day to achieve this goal. Build the damned wall and deport every one the the infestation of invaders. Return America to American citizens.
