Ummmm, when I practiced medicine, I saw grandparents who were raising their grand kids from a "wayward" son or daughter who "catted" around. I respect those grandparents as they didn't want their grand kids to end up like their sons or daughters raised them as best they could.

Many of the "grandkids" I knew went on to college and got advanced degrees. Their grand parents were extremely proud even no one knew if their parents knew they graduated from college. Shoot, I witnessed a grandfather being the "father of the bride" at a wedding one time! The dad wasn't dead, he just wasn't around.

That was soooooo, cool.

Yeah but there are law abiding folks out there who can legally carry concealed weapons. If one is sure a deadly crime is being committed and they have a clear shot with no risk of hitting an innocent bystander, take the shot, "As dead men tell no lies!"

If the crime is a simple robbery, a concealed weapon carrying bystander is "NOT" law enforcement. Let the perp grab the money, run away and identify to law enforcement, when they arrive, they are a licensed concealed carry holder and give a detailed account of the crime. No need to intervene and start doing a "Dirty Harry" type shooting. Would probably get one in prison if they shot a stupid "bastid" in the back so beware.

Only time for a concealed carry holder to produce a weapon (outside of a shooting range) is if their life or another's is in jeopardy. Stop the threat and stay around to advise law enforcement what they did. If a bad guy is shooting randomly, anyone carrying a gun should respond if they are in the immediate vicinity to take them out.

I think the judicial system will give one the "benefit of the doubt" but there are probably stupid cases out there folks can recount in this thread.
