Do you still wonder why we have not won a war since WWII, and I'm still not sure we won that one either. Social engineering of the military by cowardly politicians is not only stupid, but it is fatal to those that fight the wars. Sheridan said "War is hell" he could have added "Combat is a b***h". The only reason I can find for this social engineering is that somebody got a lot of body bags they want to fill.
I have for one, have complained about our spineless politicians time and time again, but the real problem with them is their self serving greed. Once they get to Washington DC they find out where the butter comes from for their bread, and it isn't from the v**ers in their districts. Special interest groups with lots of money run this country and the average citizen is left out of the equation. For a great many of these politicians, v***r f***d has replaced the v**er. "We the People" are being backed into a corner, and if we do not come out fighting soon it will be all over and Freedom will be lost.
Our Founders wrote the Constitution in a clear and precice language that was meant to be understood by "We the People", it was the judges, lawyers, and politicians that bastardize the Constitution and the language into something that does not look or sound like the original copy. Also our Founders believed that all laws enacted should be short, clear, and understandable, not a couple of thousand pages long so that nobody even knows what's in it. Today we have a government that has run amok with it's own self importance, that Freedom does not ring for the common man anymore. Thomas Jefferson said it best "When injustice becomes law, then r*******n becomes duty."
The best laid plans of the government were waylaid by six jurors. The defense lawyers had their work laid out for them, the federal government, the state government, and the MSM were against them. The prosecution witnesses were their only help. This fiasco should never have went to trial. Political correctness reared it's ugly head again and lost, but I doubt this is the last we hear of this mess. The DOJ will have the last word here, and it will not be good or just.
It has never been about gun control, it's about people control. The 2nd Amendment is not not about allowing American citizens the right to hunt or target practice, it's about protecting themselves and our country from foreign and domestic enemies. For example an overly intrusive government.
