Very simple. As the shift superintendent who synchronized a nuke power plant 50 years ago on 21 December just passed, it is the best available until the harnessing of fusion. The plant is still in operation with a license extension that will take it to 80 years of production.
The whole business of the CO2 effects is patently BS. All vegetation needs CO2. Without it, we are all doomed.
In the early 60s, I worked in a coal plant that was completed in 1920. It was equipped as built with devices to prevent any particulates from going out to atmosphere. The phony media has to show water vapor from cooling towers to try to convince the ignorants about pollution from power plants.
