.... and then there's this:

https://dailycaller.com/2020/09/18/democrats-supreme-court-vacancy-2016-vacancy-merrick-garland/

Although Democratic p**********l nominee Joe Biden favored putting off a confirmation hearing during an e******n year in 1992 as a senator, Biden supported Garland’s confirmation in 2016 as vice president, according to ABC News. He said there was no supposed “Biden Rule” concerning Supreme Court nominations in an e******n year.

“Deciding in advance simply to turn your back before the president even names a nominee is not an option the Constitution leaves open,” Biden said, according to Business Insider. “It’s a plain abdication from the Senate’s duty. … [It’s] never occurred before in our history.”

“E******ns have consequences,” then-Democratic p**********l nominee Hillary Clinton said, according to Politico. “The president has a responsibility to nominate a new justice and the Senate has a responsibility to v**e."

She called McConnell's decision "outrageous." [Wonder what she'll say this time around.]

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer tweeted: “Garland has integrity, a brilliant legal mind & is a perfect fit for [the Supreme Court]. GOP inaction does our country a great disservice.”

And then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tweeted: “Judge Merrick Garland, is a respected jurist who must be given a fair hearing & timely v**e.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent who caucuses with Democrats, tweeted, “Judge Garland is a strong nominee with decades of experience on the bench. [Obama] has done his job. It’s time for Republicans to do theirs.”

Meanwhile, Sen. Elizabeth Warren tweeted that Republicans must “ditch their extremism” and schedule a v**e for Garland.

Then-Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said the Senate should consider a nominee immediately, according to Politico.

“It would be unprecedented in recent history for the Supreme Court to go a year with a vacant seat,” Reid said, Politico reported. “Failing to fill this vacancy would be a shameful abdication of one of the Senate’s most essential Constitutional responsibilities.”

Absolutely correct, it is the Senate's responsibility to v**e on a replacement, regardless of what else is going on at this time.

I certainly agree. He should nominate now, just in case the e******n results need to be referred to the Supreme Court--there needs to be the full nine seats filled. It really does not matter what the Dems think--no matter what Trump does, the Dems will be up in arms. I fully expect to see a continuation, and perhaps an increase in the r**ting, l**ting, and murders come this next year.

CHINADAILY

On Sept 18, Tywon Ronell Lawson, a United States-origin basketball player serving in the Fujian Xunxing Basketball Club, who is better known as Ty Lawson, posted a photograph on his personal social networking account with some unflattering remarks about Chinese women.

On Saturday, the club announced it will not renew its contract with Lawson after the league season ends. It was later reported that Lawson had been put on the China Basketball Association's blacklist and banned from participating for life.

Lawson explained later on the same social network platform, but his explanation had little positive response.

There is no denying Lawson is an exceptional player. In the last season alone, he played 33 contests, scoring, on an average, 27.3 points in each. That's why some called his departure "a loss" for the club. However, the removal of a player with such low morals is no loss. By refusing to renew the contract with him, the club has done the right thing and defended its honor.

By using derogatory words, Lawson has violated the spirit of the game and the basic rules of a civilized society. His action shows he is unfit to be a basketball player for China.

Even before the incident, Lawson was caught on video engaging in an altercation with some Chinese customers at a cafe. He reportedly invited their disaffection for speaking loudly on the phone.

He even faced a charge of attacking his pregnant girlfriend in the US. How he made it to the Chinese basketball team with such a background is in itself worth contemplating. It is a matter of concern for not only the club involved, but all domestic basketball clubs.

In selecting future players from overseas, all clubs must be careful to check the playing candidate's antecedents. If any player with a background like Lawson's gets selected in the future and causes trouble, it will reflect badly on the club selecting him or her.

It is important to be a good basketball player, but it is more important to be a good human being first.

Bravo! I could not agree more. No matter what country a player represents--they need to be a good human being!

Alexander Hamilton said, "A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger, is prepared for a master and deserves one."

Do you want a master? Do we need a master? Does America need a master?

Ask a Democrat and although they would outwardly say "No", they demonstrate "Yes".

How do they do that? Well I would say, the elite of the Democrat Party, demands that the people, do as they say not as they do. Nancy Pelosi proved that at a hair dresser's appointment. In 1964 Ronald Reagan speaking for Barry Goldwater, demonstrated the fact that the Democrat party, a once honorable political party, has turned to the philosophy of Carol Marx, and the principles of Stalin and Lenin. This has been coming for a long time.

Here is a question to demonstrate my point: Would you rather someone else tell you what e******y is, or would you rather have the freedom to be equal?

Exploring my question, I have found that the first part of the question, is a master/s***e relationship, "I tell you therefore it is", where as the latter part of the question, places the definition on the person. This definition has to be agreed on by the individual, otherwise the individual does exercise it.

Banning anything, with the exception of bans against people for the sake of sex, color, creed, or culture, is wrong and will always end up in a fight of sorts. But to nominate a person to dictate how we think therefore live, is an act of a totalitarian. And Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin and Stalin, as well as Saddam Hussein were all totalitarians.

Caesar Augustus, and Julius Caesar were also totalitarians. When a small group of people, feel they know better than the people, then the lust for power becomes somewhat dangerous and criminal. There is hope though.

Once a people have experienced freedom, there is no turning back. To the totalitarian, freedom and hope, are a disease. A disease that must be stopped. If we cripple the people by taking away their religion, then they have to believe in us. Then we disrupt the family unit, either with divorce or a******n or both. Without religion why should a man and wife stay together? Then those who still hope, we prevent them from congregating. Then we take their weapons away from them so they can't defend themselves. If they get out of line then we can stop them by making up wh**ever slander we can dream up with until no one believes the story and it becomes circumstantial at best. For the story will drowned out the t***h.

This is what we have become in today's society. We are going to be asked to make a choice-Trump or Biden. Do we give the power to a person who lets us choose, like Trump. Or do we give it to Biden, a person who will mandate how we live?

I lived through Carter, Clinton, and Obama, and each of them, either inadvertently or deliberately told the American people how to live. Whereas, Reagan and Trump gave that decision to the people. So when you hear, "Trump is not leading" has it ever dawned upon you that Trump like Reagan is giving you the choice. Decide for yourself.

Look at the mask issue. Trump wants to leave the decision up to the individual. That's freedom. Biden says he will mandate that all must wear a mask. Facts are facts, and facts can be disputed and put the fire. But this fact always remains the same: If a person is mandated, many will not follow that mandate. But if you want to wear a mask, many will.

So the Democrats claim, "Trump is not leading" because he allows the individual to make up their own minds.

Why can't the individual make up their own mind? Oh yea, because we must be told how to make up our own minds? Is that really freedom? Freedom is when the individual chooses, so who has the right to choose?

If we reverse Roe vs Wade, does that mean a******ns will not happen? Or does that mean the people not the government will make that choice?

The e******n of 2020 is coming upon us, which do you choose?

Do you really think that donors give MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS just because they love Hillary? NO, these weren't campaign donations, they were INVESTMENTS into what HILLARY had promised them when she became President.
