Thank You. I have run for elective office. I was v**ed onto my local school board in 1981(?) It was a four year term and I served my four years and was done. I know there is always a reason for some people to run for wh**ever office. In my area school board members could get the same health insurance they provided the teachers. I did not take that option because the office was not a paid office and taking free health insurance to me was payment. I do realize that many ride in on a white horse and soon change that horse for a gray one so as to be better hidden. I dream that political leaders in America could serve for a few years and return to their real jobs and not turn their political jobs into life long ones. I have absolutely no idea how to make that a reality. I did learn while on the school board that the only people who are interested in responsible spending are the few who show up at meetings. Most of the community don't care about costs and most of the board members spend money like water because it helps the community. Lower taxes and fees are what actually will help the common members of the community.

The community will begin to care when it hits their own life style and bank account. Nationally we are a long way from that moment. California and some other blue states are getting close. By the time the community as a whole cares enough to push back it may be too late. The weight of the debt will sink the ship before the majority of the community even notices or cares that the ship is taking on water. But, I still remain hopeful.

I followed the rules of the game when I paid into those programs and I'll follow the rules of the game now. I may not have like the rules but if I have to play the game I will follow the rules until the rules are changed.

Any candidate in any party that qualifies as a legitimate party should be allowed to participate in these shows that are laughingly called debates. At the present time they are just shows to present the gullible American public two men of which one will stand as representative of a very divided country. The only losers being the American Public.

Between the two parties there is not much difference. Between Trump and Biden there is a huge canyon.

I generally agree with you but see the underlying reason differently. It doesn't matter if there is a uni-party, two parties or 30 or 100. They are all made up by individuals acting independently in their own self interests. Politicians self interests align with big government so they all build a big government. Politicians self interests also include trying to manipulate the people to believe the peoples self interests align with the politicians self interests.

Same is true of the people. They work for their own individual self interests. If their self interests involve benefiting from big government they will v**e for big government. (federalists) If their self interest is determined by their own self determination they will v**e for limited government. (anti-federalists)

What the government and politicians are allowed to do is determined by what the people allow them to do. (Public opinion) If the people get tired of the government overreach and determine that their best interest is less government then the political parties will adjust to public opinion. That push back was lost through most of the 20th century due to the depression, WWII, the cold war and then the 60's and 70's. Limiting government made a come back with the e******n of Reagan and a flip in congress in Clinton's 2nd term. Got lost under Bush 2 (9/11 and the housing crash). But was revitalized after Obama's shellacking in 2012 and continued under Trump. Biden's e******n was an anomaly due to the p******c and the massive false negative press thrown at Trump for 5 years.

The conflict between the Federalist and Anti-Federalists has existed from the beginning and is reflected in the compromise known as the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Professional politicians have been chipping away at that compromise ever since. It's in the professional politicians own best interest to do so. It's up to the people to change that. If they want to. We will see in November if public opinion is still trending back toward the anti-federalists and away from the federalists. Reversing trends takes time and always encounters push back.

Don't underestimate democrats and the media ability to stack the deck. He may win merely by participation with the expectations on his performance so low.

Biden limited the moderators to CNN, ABC and CBS. He probably hoped Trump would walk away because of the unfriendly moderator options. I imagine they were surprised when he so quickly accepted without some negotiations first. Trump will take what's offered without fear and deal with it. Hopefully Trump will keep his cool, attack Biden lies and allow Biden to hang himself. Biden on the other hand will bait Trump and try to get him to start ranting. All he has is h**e Trump for his campaign.

Should be an interesting debate and game of chess. Probably will be Biden's last legitimate chance to save his candidacy. Sink or swim.

I believe he has hit 15% in only one poll. Needs to do it at least four.

Not that Biden or Trump want him in the debate but, as of now, he hasn't even gotten close to the necessary qualifications to be in a debate. That being 15% or higher in four polls and registration in enough states to garner at least 170 e*******l v**es. So far I think he has 1 poll and 2 states. Since he is not even contention to win in November I would rather see just the two nominees debate.

Biden will initiate another “ p*******c”, declare martial law; therefore no e******n! I put NOTHING past him, Obama & all the phonies in his admin.

I currently think that the ticket will remain the same and an e******n will be held. A l********e e******n is a different story.

One possibility is still that the Democrats may put in a substitute for Biden in August. It would explain why the DNC is fighting states that plan to set the b****ts before the late Democrat convention. Keep their options open.

I don't think declaring martial law to cancel the e******n would work. There are still too many people and states that would push back. It might lead to a civil war as people resist the take over.

The elimination of Trump might be more likely, not that I'm predicting it, as the RNC could then substitute a candidate that would align more with the professional politicians goals rather than what the v**ers want.

I suppose the other possibility would be to eliminate Trump late in the e******n cycle where it would be too late to print new b****ts. The e******n could be postponed indefinitely by the Democrats.

Unfortunately you might be right, especially if Trump is found NOT guilty from this sham trial!

I put the odds of Trump being found not guilty at less than 1%. The jurors are likely afraid and run to high a risk of being scorned or worse from their friends, family or neighbors if they find Trump not guilty. It is my opinion that even a hung jury is unlikely, maybe 20%, in Manhattan. Though a hung jury would be the best outcome for all parties involved in this travesty.

If anyone was threatened with assassination it was President Trump.... And press was NEVER neutral to Trump.. 95% negative press is towards President Trump...

The media, politicians, bureaucrats and all those who benefit off the behemoth corrupt federal government see Trump and all those that might follow or be like him as a huge threat to their power and ill gotten gains. They cannot risk their subterfuge being exposed so Trump must be destroyed and any future Trumps must be stopped before they can start.

H****r B***n request to delay trial DENIED by judge

Joe Biden’s lying son was just denied his request by a judge to delay his drug/gun trial until later this year.

Here’s more from the AP:

H****r B***n’s federal gun case will go to trial next month, a judge said Tuesday, denying a bid by lawyers for the president’s son to delay the prosecution.

U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika rejected H****r B***n’s request to push the trial until September, which the defense said was necessary to give the defense time to line up witnesses and go through evidence handed over by prosecutors.

President Joe Biden’s son is accused of lying about his drug use in October 2018 on a form to buy a gun that he kept for about 11 days.

The question is what are these supposed witnesses going to say? He was a drug addled piece of scum. Go through the evidence.🙄🙄 The evidence is Federal Form 4473 where he lied about drug use. If a single person in this site had done the same, we would have long since been incarcerated.

Likely the fix is in. No jail time for a first offender. Limited fines and a pardon by Joe on his way out of office. Once Joe is out of office you will never hear about the Biden family crimes again. If any Biden is ever questioned again the Democrats and media will scream lawfare and unequal justice throughout the Trump presidency. In other words, they are just going through the motions of an already r****d game.

I agree. Which is why this is labeled an "executive agreement". To avoid the need for ratification. The SCOTUS ruled in 1937 that executive agreements are binding. However the "executive agreement" is only binding until a p**********l successor removes it. In other words, Any of Biden's "executive agreements" can be cancelled in January if Trump wins in November.

Another example of the Democrats and the liberal SCOTUS overruling the constitution under the fluid constitution perspective. Changing the word "treaty" to "executive agreement".

Yes I know. Seems like the swing states polls should be even closer than the national polls instead of the reverse. Unless they are over weighting the national polls to lean more Democrat in the results.
