Liberty, Although he hasn't been convicted of a crime, he has been found to be responsible for three cases of fraud, and sexual assault, in a civil court. So far Trump has been able to delay court proceedings in other cases against him. He believes that when he becomes POTUS again, he will no longer be able to to be prosecuted. There is much more coming. He has also avoided being prosecuted because of very friendly federal judges that he appointed.
I have always thought that the justice system in this country is unfair. A wealthy person can hire all kinds of lawyers to defend him, an/or file different kinds of law suites against for others. Ordinary middle class folks may have to use a public defender, that may have twenty other cases he is working on.

proud, I am a first generation American. I have experienced anti-semitism from the sixth grade to today. You are correct, this is the most dangerous time to be an American Jew that I can remember. I am going on a Viking river cruise along the Rhine River, It will be interesting to find out if Germany is still an anti-semitic country. There probably is anti-semitism there, but not as much a the US. I'll let you know what I visit in Prague, Germany, and France. Prague is supposed to be friendly to everybody. Germany has been den**ified, and France is probably the worst. It was the French who invented anti-semitism. When Napoleon ruled much of Europe, he taught that being Jewish is okay. All people should be treated the same, but the French turned an anti-Jewish sentiment into a racial argument, that somehow, Jews are in some way inferior. This led to the Dreyfus Affair in France and directly to Z*****m. Besides that, France has a large population of Muslim Arabs.

In Defense of T***h

I like to write about biblical issues, not political ones. I always have. But I cannot stand by silently and allow any Christian to wonder if perhaps the claims of “genocide” currently being shouted at Israel from around the world might contain some t***h. So this article is an effort to shed the light of t***h upon the current war with Hamas and to show that, quite the opposite of genocide, Israel is the only one showing any mercy in Gaza.

Recently, there have been studies published by statistics researchers informing us that the civilian death totals issued by Hamas authorities in Gaza cannot possibly be accurate. You can read them at these links:

https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/gaza-fatality-data-has-become-completely-unreliable

https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2024/04/09/hamas-run-gaza-health-ministry-admits-to-flaws-in-casualty-data/

https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/how-gaza-health-ministry-f**es-casualty-numbers

Another reason to doubt the verity of the information issued by Hamas is because that organization has been caught spreading lies and disinformation since the very beginning of the current conflict. Consider just these four…

1—Hamas claimed that Israel fired a missile at the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in October. The t***h soon came out that it was the misfire of a Hamas rocket that k**led hundreds of their own citizens. Even CNN, no friend of Israel, reports it here: https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/21/middleeast/cnn-investigates-forensic-analysis-gaza-hospital-blast/index.html

2—Hamas claimed that they never hid their operatives in Gazan hospitals. The IDF took extensive video footage of their findings at the Shifa Hospital and arrested hundreds of Hamas militants. Even CNN, no friend of Israel, had to report on this. https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/14/politics/white-house-hamas-al-shifa/index.html

https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-interrogation-video-hamas-terrorists-confirm-groups-hideout-under-gaza-hospital/

3—Hamas claimed that IDF soldiers were firing on citizens of Gaza to keep them from getting to food shipments. Gazan citizens themselves are now reporting that Hamas has stolen most of the food and aid shipments from the people of Gaza. This would also be consistent with Hamas’s use of citizens as human shields. https://www.csmonitor.com/World/Middle-East/2024/0314/Hamas-gambled-with-our-lives-Gazans-are-now-daring-to-speak-out

4—Hamas denied ever using ambulances in Gaza for anything other than t***sporting wounded. Then a recording was made of a Hamas operative boasting about the routine use of ambulances for driving around Hamas militants. https://www.timesofisrael.com/hamas-operative-boasts-he-can-leave-with-any-ambulance-in-call-overheard-by-idf/

These four instances alone should convince reasonable people that Hamas consistently lies to advance their narrative and generate compassion from the West. But even if we put logic aside and assume that the death toll figures from Hamas are accurate, let’s compare them to the civilian death toll figures from WW2.

The allied war with Germany began in September of 1939 and ended in May of 1945. In Germany alone, the civilian death toll during those 68 months of war was 3,810,000. That total divided by 68 equals 56,029. That means that every month, 56,029 German non-combatant civilians lost their lives to the forces of America and their allies. If you then multiply that monthly total of civilian deaths by 7 (the number of months that Israel has been prosecuting their war in Gaza), you get the astounding total of 392,203 deaths! https://historylearning.com/world-war-two/civilian-casualties-of-world-war/

Compare that with the figure of 25,000 civilian deaths over the same time span in Gaza! (Hamas admits that their death toll includes dead militants). This all means that civilian deaths in Gaza are nearly 16 times smaller than civilian deaths in Germany in WW2! How can we understand such an amazing discrepancy?! Especially in such crowded urban spaces as Israel has had to fight in! It can only be explained by the unprecedented procedures Israel has used to warn the Gazan civilians in an effort to minimize their casualties. This is the opposite of genocide!

Newsweek magazine (another news outlet that does not usually take Israel’s side) published an article a few months back on this same topic. The author is John Spencer, Chair of Urban Warfare Studies at the Modern War Institute (MWI) at West Point; he served for 25 years as an infantry soldier and two tours in Iraq. Below is an extended quote from the article found at this link: https://www.newsweek.com/israel-implemented-more-measures-prevent-civilian-casualties-any-other-nation-history-opinion-1865613

Major Spencer writes this…

“…one of the best ways to prevent civilian casualties in urban warfare is to provide warning and evacuate urban areas before the full combined air and ground attack commences. This tactic is unpopular for obvious reasons: It alerts the enemy defender and provides them the military advantage to prepare for the attack. The United States did not do this ahead of its initial invasion of Iraq in 2003, which involved major urban battles to include in Baghdad. It did not do this before its April 2004 Battle of Fallujah….”

“By contrast, Israel provided days and then weeks of warnings, as well as time for civilians to evacuate multiple cities in northern Gaza before starting the main air-ground attack of urban areas. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) employed their practice of calling and texting ahead of an air strike as well as roof-knocking, where they drop small munitions on the roof of a building, notifying everyone to evacuate the building before a strike.

No military has ever implemented any of these practices in war before.

The IDF has also air-dropped flyers to give civilians instructions on when and how to evacuate, including with safe corridors. (The U.S. implemented these tactics in its second battle of Fallujah and 2016-2017 operation against ISIS in Mosul.) Israel has dropped over 520,000 pamphlets and broadcast over radio and through social media messages to provide instruction for civilians to leave combat areas.

Israel’s use of real phone calls to civilians in combat areas (19,734), SMS texts (64,399) & pre-recorded calls (almost 6 mil.) to provide instructions on evacuations is also unprecedented. The IDF also conducted daily four-hour pauses over multiple consecutive days of the war to allow civilians to leave active combat areas. While pauses for civilian evacuations after a war or battle has started is not completely new, the frequency and predictability of these in Gaza have been historic.

Another historical first in war measures to prevent civilian causalities was Israel’s distribution of IDF military maps & urban warfare graphics to assist civilians with day-to-day evacuations & alerting them where the IDF will be operating. No military in history has ever done this.

The reality is that when it comes to avoiding civilian harm, there is no modern comparison to Israel’s war against Hamas. Israel is not fighting a battle like Fallujah, Mosul, or Raqqa; it is fighting a war involving synchronous major urban battles. No military in modern history has faced over 30,000 urban defenders in more than seven cities using human shields and hiding in hundreds of miles of underground networks, purposely built under civilian sites while holding hundreds of hostages.”

Mr. Spencer writes this in his conclusion…

“Despite the unique challenges Israel faces in its war against Hamas, it has implemented more measures to prevent civilian casualties than any other military in history.”

Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir, once famously said these words: “We can forgive [the Arabs] for k*****g our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to k**l their children.”

In Exodus 4:22, God says this: “Israel is my first-born son.” The Jewish people have certainly strayed from their Father’s home and heart, but they still carry His DNA in their spirit. Our God (and theirs) has a heart of mercy and takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. I personally believe that Israel feels the same way. That is why we see their military acting in merciful ways as no other military force in history has ever done!

So, my appeal to the adopted Gentile sons of God is this: Do not believe the lies of the enemy about Israel. Pray for your wandering half-brothers. Ask Jesus to use the pressure and pain of their current situation to cause them to look up and “behold their God”!

Let's remember that all three of the Abrahamic religions all believe in the basic t***h of , don't do anything to your neighbor that you wouldn't want done to you. Of course all three religions have acted contrary to this credo at different times. But , we are all human, and make mistakes now and then.

If you are talking about my religion, I certainly have no prejudice against Christianity as a faith. People certainly are not like cattle to me. Why would you make such an ignorant remark? I consider myself a "people person". From time to time you display signs of anti-Semitism. I say, let people believe wh**ever they want too. I have known many people of different religions during my long lifetime, and never judged a person by his religion. Being a history person, I know that Christianity of every stripe has committed terrible crimes against the Jewish people, from the early church, to the Spanish Inquisition, to the Holocaust. I certainly don't blame living Christians for what happened centuries before they were born.
I was raised in Rego Park, Queens which in the 50s through the 60s was an upper middle class Jewish neighbor hood. I myself, was a poor boy.Two of my best friends were Italian and Hispanic.

The JFK Assassination Chokeholds That Inescapably Prove There Was a Conspiracy

During my many years of teaching at different universities, nearly all my colleagues insisted that Lee Harvey Oswald alone assassinated President Kennedy, even while the general public questioned such a conclusion. This disparity between gown and town always amused and informed me that something in the “higher education” world was low indeed. Despite the fact that we agreed on many political matters, my academic colleagues laughed at all my writing and courses that presented overwhelming evidence that there was a conspiracy to k**l JFK, led by the Central Intelligence Agency. They reveled in their certitude, good humored as it was, but refused to research the matter. They were smug.

Here is an excellent book that, if they would read it with open minds, would, as its subtitle says – inescapably prove that there was a conspiracy – and if Jack Ruby had not k**led Oswald and he had been given a fair trial, Oswald would have been acquitted. Written by James DiEugenio, Paul Bleau, Matt Crumpton, Andrew Iler, and Mark Adamczyk, The JFK Assassination Chokeholds lives up to its claim and then some.

For most readers of the general public, the amount of information it contains that proves the official version of the assassination is clearly false may be overwhelming, but for anyone with any scholarly pretensions or who has a particular interest in the JFK assassination, this book is essential. It will last a long time as a key historical document. For the general reader, one or two chapters should suffice to convince them that the authors have emphatically proven their points. And to grasp these points and fully realize that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by elements of his own government led by the CIA and that the mass media were accessories after the fact to this terrible crime – to let this really sink in – well, nothing is more important in understanding what is going on today.

The five authors, two prominent JFK researchers (most notably Jim DiEugenio) and three attorneys, combine forces to create a volume backed by 700 references that provides ten different arguments, or chokeholds, that prove “1. There was a conspiracy in the murder of JFK, and 2. That the chokehold issues provide more than a reasonable doubt that would have made it impossible to convict Lee Harvey Oswald in a criminal trial.”

By chokeholds they mean a body of evidence that leads to an indisputable conclusion since their lists of evidence are so powerful. Additionally, they further their arguments through the concept of consilience: “That even if one element cannot prove a fact on its own, the concordance of evidence from unrelated sources converges on a conclusion.”

From beginning to end, through each of the ten chapters in between, they build and build and build their case so powerfully, not through conjecture but with solid confirmed evidence, that by the time one is finished reading, it is impossible to not realize that the assassination of the president was a government hit job and that Oswald was exactly what he said – “a patsy.” If like me, you need no convincing and believe that engaging in pseudo-debates about the assassination only plays into the hands of the k**lers – as if to say we don’t yet know the t***h – you still should read this excellent book with admiration for the authors’ thoroughness and unique method of argumentation.

The evidence presented throughout has been accumulated for 60 years, not just by official government investigations but by independent researchers, accelerated greatly due to Oliver Stone’s brilliant 1991 film, JFK, that forced the U.S. government to pass the 1992 JFK Assassination Records Collection Act and then in 1994 the Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) that resulted in the declassification of tens of thousands of documents.

If a reader just read Chapter 7, “The Evidentiary Mess of the Twentieth Century,” by James DiEugenio, a chapter of just 16 pages but supported by 47 footnotes about the medical evidence and the official autopsy, one would immediately realize that only government officials were capable of patching up the back of Kennedy’s head wound to make it appear intact and forging photos to conceal the massive cavity caused by a bullet from the front. That conspiracy about the larger conspiracy is all a reasonable person needs to know to prove the assassination was a government operation from beginning to end, and that Oswald did not k**l John Kennedy.

But the book contains chapter after chapter like that one.

Chapter 1 – “ The Official Record Impeaches the Warren Commission” – by JFK researcher Paul Bleau opens the book with a thorough review of all the official investigations that demolishes any remaining pretense that even government officials believe the Warren Commission’s fictions. He writes after reviewing them:

The overwhelming consensus that there were serious flaws with the Warren Commission conclusions and that there was a likely conspiracy does not come from independent authors who are trying to sell books. It comes from written reports of subsequent investigations and the statements of a very significant cross-section of over 90 insiders that participated in the investigations including the Warren Commission: Senators (some Republican, some Democrats), legal counsel, staff members, attorneys, researchers, medical personnel, autopsy physicians, historians, archivists, investigators, jury members, FBI, DPD and Louisiana State law enforcement agents. These include some of the highest-ranking members of the Warren Commission, Church and HSCA committees and the ARRB.....
The JFK Assassination Chokeholds That Inescapably ... (show quote)

eagle, I don't know if there was a conspiracy to k**l JFK or not, but his death meant we were going to fight in Vietnam. He definitely was doing what he could to avoid war. To this day, I still don't know why he was assassinated, and by who. There certainly is a lot of happenings that are suspicious to say the least.
