How Much Is YOUR Insurance Going Up?

Have you gotten a letter from your insurance company about your premiums going up? Has your employer told you that more will be coming out of your paycheck to pay for your health plan?

President Obama promised that Obamacare would lower premiums by $2,500. But instead, Americans everywhere are facing higher premiums because of Obamacare.

George Schwab, who lives in North Carolina, was notified in a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield on September 23 that his current plan doesn’t meet Obamacare’s benefit requirements and would be canceled at the end of the year. While Blue Cross did suggest a comparable plan, it was $980 more than what he now pays.

“The President told the American people numerous times that… ‘If you like your coverage, you can keep it,’” Schwab told The Charlotte Observer. “How can we keep it if it has been eliminated? How can we keep it if the premium has been increased 430 percent in one year?”

Michael Yount and his wife, a retired couple in North Carolina, buy their individual insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield and pay about $380 a month with an $11,000 deductible. But they were just informed their new plan will be three times the price, costing them $1,124.50 a month, The Christian Science Monitor reported. The couple said they plan to drop out of formal health insurance, pay the penalty, and “self-insure.”

Cindy Vinson in California “will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy,” reports the San Jose Mercury News. She is an Obama voter who was surprised by the personal impact of Obamacare. “Of course, I want people to have health care,” Vinson said. “I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”

I'm not surprised. The goal of Obamacare isn't to have people have health insurance. The goal is to have total control over all citizens. This is how you are forced into Obamacare with no way out except to spend your life savings, which will also work to the advantage of those wanting to own your heretofore freedoms.

I'd like to know where they keep getting people to say they love ObamaCare? I still get mine through my employer, it used to be totally paid for , but since the ACA was made the law of the land, it has gone up and I now have to pay the increase of $2400 per year. The co-pay went up as well as the deductible..Thanks Obama! Less for more, this is absurb.

The ones who say they love it must be the totally brain-dead who haven't a clue what it is all about. They think they have fallen into an orgasm tank - just wait until the reality hits them! By then it will be too late. In a way it's sorta sad.

OK--reality check--all you folks who say their health insurance premiums are increasing--WHO SENT YOU THE BILL?--HINT-it wasn't the ACA!--It was the PRIVATE company you insure with. Could this be the problem?--Why did they suddenly INCREASE costs? Who are really the bad guys here?--Maybe you need to ask 'them' a simple question?-WHY did you raise my premium?

The plan we had before was great, less duductible and lower costs, but do you realize that now all plans have to include maternity care & free health care screenings? How do you think insurance companies can add all of the mandatory items without raising their costs?

Exactamundo-why did they suddenly 'add' those costs and (services)?. Hmmm-is it because insurance companies realize that there is cheaper 'competition' suddenly out there-or coming soon-and they mean to make money while the sun shines? In the best of worlds-which ain't our (America's) private medical market-you would/should be able to purchase a 'comprehensive' plan that covers you and your family at a reasonable cost. Hint: they (models) do exist and work well in several other countries-and with private companies included and participating in the plans. Pssst-another hint--check the 'final' AFA price after subsidies and income guidelines are applied-whew-gets pretty cheap! No wonder the insurance companies are pulling out all the stops! The insurance companies fear the AFA because it will hit them right in the corporate pocketbook. So try to find out just what their end profit will be--heh-heh-heh-- good luck with that one!! Several times (even 'ol Tricky Dickie' tried) 'socialized' (which the AFA certainly is not) medicine has been proposed in the USA-every time it has been defeated -and for various reasons--but and DUUUUH-just follow the money! There is just no explaining away the reason we have the most expensive health care system on the planet-but which delivers a decidedly inferior product--except GREED. Sometimes 'private' control just isn't the best answer or solution --and I do not believe private profit companies like insurance companies should have the final 'say' (as they now do) about my health care!

I do not qualify for subsidies, I'm one of the ones that will pay more so the uninsured can get insured. I do not beilieve the govenment or the IRS should have the final say about my health care.

My past coverage is staying exactly the same as it was last year. The co-pays in a few cases are increased, but not by much. After all, this is reasonable because the actual COST of health care is increasing, too.

Have any of these folks considered shopping around ?

What an incredibly stupid question! The ACA caused the private insurance companies to have to raise their premiums to compete with the one that PRINTS ALL THE MONEY IT CHOOSES AND ALSO WRITES ALL THE LAWS AND REGS. Obama and the political left are the cause of the increased prices that private companies must go to to remain in business. It was a deliberate and tyrannical move that should never have been allowed to happen. It is opposed by everything American.

Many, Many of us, well before ACA was even voted on harped and harped that the PURPOSE of ACA was to get rid of the private sector so that socialized medicine could step up and be THE payor for ALL health insurance claims, thereby dictating what happens to each and every American. It is called tyranny, dictatorship, megalomania. It is left wing's gift to the world. It is evil and it is deadly. If you don't believe me, all you have to do is open your eyes and force your brain to THINK. Assuming you are capable.

Tasine, I have seen pretzels with fewer illogical twists than your post below. If you don't like your insurance rates, go shop. Don't be a lazy fool.

You're talking to the wrong person. I'm not complaining about my insurance rates. I've not even mentioned my insurance rates because I don't yet know what they will be. Maybe mine will be free. I'm not lazy, and YOU are the fool.
