Baby snake asked his mama if he could go across the field and play with the snakes there. Mama snake said OK, but be home by supper time. He left and was home in just a few minutes, crying his eyes out. Mama snake asked what was wrong and baby snake said those snakes wouldn't let him hiss in their pit. Mama snake said, can you imagine that, I knew those snakes when they didn't have a pit to hiss in.
