My prayer for you, LJ, as well.



I write prayers for myself, when I feel I'm due for one. This is the last verse of today's prayer. I thought of you, LJ, and I thought of me, but I also included everyone who follows the prayer threads. So to welcome you back, here is the last verse:

This is a day for the Lord, every day is His day, for it comes as a blessing to us. Some days are sunny, some cloudy - but we need both to enable us to grow. The one thing we need most is You in our heart and soul, be our GPS (God's Personal Souls). How can we possibly get lost when we carry Your GPS! Smile down on this ragtag group, Lord, we are still children trying to grow up.

"You raise me up so I can stand on mountains /
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas /
I am strong when I am on your shoulders /
You raise me up to more than I can be."

Thank You, Lord. In Jesus name I pray, giving You all honor, praise, and glory. Amen.

Time to rally the troops like in any family. I just learned one of our own here was in a rather bad traffic accident Friday and, was hit broadside by a person running a red light.

This person is lindajoy and she is asking for your prayers. They have had her in the hospital since last Friday and the blood thinners are not clearing the clot she has in her head. They have her scheduled for surgery in the morning to drain this clot. I understand her back was injured but, am not sure if there are any fractures.

She is a loving and kind friend of many on here and, I would love to see us all come together and give the Almighty a shout out on her behalf.

I normally mumble my way through prayers and I know the Lord hears them anyway. If anybody would like to pray this with me for lindajoy, I know she would appreciate it.

Dear Lord,

I ask that you would strengthen her body and prepare her body for this upcoming surgery.

Lord, I ask that you prepare each doctor and each assistant so that each one is refreshed and at his or her best when the surgery starts. Enable them to disregard any personal distractions and fully focus on her surgery. I pray that each one is clear thinking and able to receive wisdom from you as the surgery is in progress. May each decision be correct and each procedure be accurate.

Heavenly Father, I am asking for your supernatural protection during her surgery. I pray for the outcome to be your very best.

I also pray for protection and provision during her recovery period.

You are our Creator, and you are our Sustainer.

Guide her and all of us who love you this day as we seek to find peaceful rest in your presence.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray,
