If you're conscious, you are aware of the treachery expressed with GMO's and their patent holders Monsanto et al. In a nation where wealth trumps common decency, honor and patriotism it should be obvious how a few well placed millions can get you what you want from "statesmen" of the incredible invisible POW McCain and the many others of his character;
http://www.therealfoodchannel.com/videos/gmos-genetically-modified-food-1/gmo-foods.htmlRapaciousness is the one side, but what of the other side? If a culture were aware, couldn't they tell bullshit from truth regardless of how much the "enemy" pours over their heads? Obviously not. So the problem isn't just those who spread those well placed millions it's the pathetic fools on the other side of an argument who eat it up... over and over and over with no regard for themselves or their spawn.

If you're conscious, you are aware of the treacher... (

Marketing, it's all in the marketing. When the first whispers of GMO became loud enough for the general public to sit up and take notice, you heard things like 'perfectly safe, no harm to the environment' and the kicker which more than likely cinched it for growers and those wondering how to solve world hunger was "greater yields" which we now know is absolutely not true. The video did some finger pointing at those who would control the information the public received. They also didn't mention by name specifically, Monsanto, but for anyone tuned in to what is going on these days, a given.
One of the speakers in the video commented that 'man should not tinker with what God has created'. Absolutely. All the reassurances in the world won't convince me that Man can contain and control all the things they tinker with, that there won't be some little detail they missed and do not have a plan for, won't end up with tragic consequences.
Granted, a few things they brought up, I find a little hard to quite go with....like 'the billionaire club wanting to curb population growth'. However, truth is often stranger than fiction. I recall African countries, during famine brought on by severe drought, refusing to accept GMO product, and thinking at the time 'What, are they crazy? They're starving!!' Turns out they knew what they were talking about. Ironic, third world countries being privy to information that hadn't even begun to surface here in this country.
I will not knowingly sell GMO affected produce. I grow some of what I sell. Not all that I sell is organic. Some of it could be defined as being grown responsibly. Some organic pesticides, infrequently, are used. The beef and chicken, no growth hormones, free ranging, beef (when I can get it), grass fed, pastures not commercially fertilized. Either way, whatever I sell is identified as being grown one way or the other. I am mindful, being one, that individuals with compromised immune systems, have to be more careful than most. However, a great many who come to the market have told me they don't care if it is organic or not. Go figure. They don't get it because it hasn't struck close to home 'yet', but I can guarantee they will be the loudest when it begins to take a personal toll.
