Conservatives say if you don't give the rich more money, they will lose their incentive to invest. As for the poor, they tell us they've lost all incentive because we've given them too much money. George Carlin

George Carlin always seemed able to point out the hypocrisies in life and politics. I did not remember him saying this, but it would be like him.

Reminds me of a quote from an editor once regarding an idea central to the Republican Party:

"Money is good for rich people and bad for poor people."

I guess it is all in the perception Paul. I am a very rich man. I just don't have a lot of money. There is a lot more to life than money!!

I have not heard any wingers suggest that there is anything more important Than money. Archie, You are beginning to talk like a reasonable person and not at all like a right wing extremist. What has happened to change your perceptions? You need to share that with some of the still crazies on this site.

Nothing has happened to change anything about my perceptions.
I happen to believe that wealth isn't all about money. Family, relationships, self satisfaction, and Faith makes a man wealthy.

Actually that means you have always been a closet conservative.
Those have always been OUR values.

Glad you have finally woke up.

He's far from the only one. Many true conservatives don't even like money. It's the politicians/ameristocracy who claim to have conservative views that skew your perception of us.

We ain't Them.

I failed the test. I couldn't get past the part about the government controlling every aspect of my life, taking by force from producers to give to non producers, murdering unborn humans, embracing immoral behaviors, punishing success, and rewarding failure, etc....

Ahh. That's better! I was starting to feel like I was missing something. A little touch of reality; that's what I'm hiding from!

Your confusing conservatives and rhinos again.
Although you are right, there is nothing conservative about the likes of Warren Buffet or George Soros.
Hey maybe they'll give all they're money to the poor.
There is a difference between giving gifts from the treasury for votes, and taking time and money out of your OWN pocket to give to the poor.
Many would be surprised in the comparison to Liberal vs Conservative volunteer work and donations to the truly needy, not just people w/ they're hands out.
