I had an "A" when I was a kid, No starter, flywheel was grooved on the backside so my fingers wouldn't slip, Start it on gas, then switch the carb over to Kerosine, you needed to open the petcocks on both cylinders for a compression relief. It started as soon as the mag snaped! And the "G" had a complicated hydralic system, but it had a starter!!! I gave it to a friend in Mi. He wanted a Hi-crop! I also had a WD9 IH, Gas start diesel, Out in the weeds there are still at least 4 antique tractors! Gas...if it comes to it...I can convert those to producer gas! I already have a generator running on wood. Obama and the rest of the Marxists want to shut down all the energy in America. Except for themselves of course! I'm ready!

I remember as a little boy riding with my grandfather on his 1939 B. When my uncle took over the farm, he had 2 As and a 620. Then he bought a 3010 and after a few years he sold that and bought an IH966. I loved the sound of the 2 bangers so much I traded a Ford Ranger for a 1948 A. It needed work, but I spent the money and put in the time and got it running. I also had a 2020, but that was burned up in a machine shed fire. Replaced that with a 1050.

2020 is pretty good, I use one sometimes, belongs to one of my sons, I had a 2010, diesel, I never could get it to run right! Google Gendassian you can see a video of a 3010 gas job running on wood gas, you can download the complete plans and instructrions to make a producer gas generator! Free! it was a project of FEMA, designed by the U of Ala. Disking without gas or diesel!

I was told by a John Deere dealer to stay away from the 2010 diesel. Something in the design wasn't right and the tractor always had problems. My 2020 had a loader on it which I used like a bull dozer at times and I was quite surprised at how much power that tractor had. I miss the tractor but it's really hard to find another one. Easier to find a 3020.

I don't if you've been a victim of crime. I have been even though it's been a very long time ago. With Obama's hate speech against everyone who disagrees with him and with his blessings going to the Black Panthers and those screwballs from Occupy Wall street, along with an economy that's on the edge of collapsing, I realize that it could turn into a dog eat dog country real quick and I'll be ready. They may get me in the end, but I'll take some of them with me. Look at history, Germany just after WW1 and before 1928. It could happen here given the current condition of this country. I haven't seen it this bad since the late 1960s. I'd say it's worse.

How does it feel to be so filled with hate?

I was not pleased with how Bush did things but I was never at the point of hate.

Things may be better for some & less so for others.

But It has become clean that this country is doomed.
And you sir with your hate are driving the stake in deeper.

As I said the average democrat will mislead or infer when talking about policy. The republicans just lie, they don't infer or mislead. (And your right on the clearance, I was restricted about discussing what I heard on seen for 20 years not life). My opinion is a honest politician will never get elected because the American people only like to hear the fiery rhetoric. They don't want the truth, they just want to hear how the government is screwing them so they can complain and blame someone for their miserable life. Out of the people who are eligible to vote, you are getting 30%, 40% of them showing up at the poles to cast their vote. That 30 or 40% is dictating what happens in our Country. Most Americans don't have the hatred that is being displayed in our politics today, but they also wont vote because they think all politician's are corrupt and their vote is meaningless.
The day we get 90% of the eligible people voting will be the day the politicians will stop dictating to us what is best for us and start listening to the people. American has and will always be to strong for foreign power to destroy us. It will happen within. The climate today definitely shows we are well on our way destroying ourselves and it is not a democrat or republican problem it is the people of United States destroying itself.
My opinion: It should be mandatory males has to spend 2 years in the military serving their country.
It should be mandatory every eligible American has to vote, It should be mandatory every American has to learn American history and be educated on what this country is about and what it means to be an American, What the lives that have been sacrifice for are regardless of creed or color. Maybe just Maybe the hatred will be stopped or at least toned to a tolerable level. Maybe just Maybe their will be little difference between the two parties and Maybe just Maybe we can save America before it to late.

I face reality and the world can be a very hateful, mean place. I've learned this hard way. It's true that the majority of people would rather be decent with each other, but all it takes is the actions of a few to screw things up. My feelings have nothing to do with hate. It's more with survival. Obama has proven that he's a threat to the survival of this country which includes me. He's the one who shouted the insults at anyone who disagrees with his Marxism. But since you are a Marxist and hate seems to be the only word in your vocabulary, I'd say YOU are the most hateful person out there. Accuse you're opponent of everything you are guilty of, by Bill Clinton. You are truly the mind numb robot following what has been programmed into you. Good Marxist Democrat. Stalin would be proud of you. The only thing you said that made any sense that it's clear the country is doomed.

Floyd, How does it feel to be a lying libtard? You just revealed yourself as one! By accusing others of "HATE". Next you will admit your ignorance by calling HIM a "RACIST", the use of Alinksi tactics PROVE you have nothing truthful to contribute!

The truth is: Knowing what is going on, loving our country, and predicting mass rioting by those who are now being excused by the government and the media, Seeing everyday the destruction of our economy by one political party, and their cronies, Some of us aren't about to "drink the coolade" and surrender our families to the welfare class, rioting looters and murderers! Only an idiot will ignore the example of their behavior after Katrina! Some of us are smart enough to ignore POLITICAL CORRECTNESS that will destroy US and our families! And some of us don't intend putting our heads on the chopping block! Calling us "haters" for wanting to defend our families only IDs you as "part of the problem".

I would say that i am as true a capitalist as any here on this site.

I am self employed & offer a service.
I set my own value on what I do.
I have an income reasonably over average.
I offer value for what I do & am paid freely & with out question for what I do.
I have helped those I do things have a better life.

I am given a list of things they wish done & do what I can on as many problems I can. They don't ask me how I do what I do or what it may cost.

So I say I must know what I stand for & am doing.
It is about trust. I am trusted to do what needs to be done in their best interest & I trust that they will pay me for what I do. I have been doing it the same way for 50 years & will continue for as long as I wish to.

Now I think we could have an intelligent conversation. I to am self employed and my business is service based. But being on the end of running a business, it's not the same as being an employee, I can see that most customers are pretty and as long as you treat them right, they'll do the same in return. However, I do run into a customer once in a while that wants something for nothing. Sometimes you have to be hard to keep your loses to a minimum. I don't like being that way, but reality is what it is.

The thing is that you have to take care of customers.
If you have people working for you should take good care of those that are good workers.

I work for my self by my self doing things for rental property.
I have small a building with apartments. & @ 76 I still do things 4 or 5 hrs a day.

While the people I do work for are very well off they for the most part they have sound middle class values.
They put back into the buildings to improve them.

I have had people working with me in the past.
Mainly my sons. One who has gotten in to owning rental property & is doing quite well.

I have helped these people get to where they are today & as I have age they have let me hang around.

I have always looked at that I am working for the tenant & if they are happy the money will come in & every one is happy.

While most tenants are well off They are for the most part middle class.

As I have said else where if you are serving the public the public you serve has to be able to pay what you need to get by.

I don't know just who your customers are but if they are middle class, then it is important that the middle class stay strong.

Things that are being done today are weakening the middle class.

What is needed is to find the main cause of that.

I say it is big money & the banking system taking out more than they really need to.

I say it is the sucking up to much that is making it harder for average people to make ends meet.

So if those who we serve have lest we have less.

It is not a matter of give or take. it is about being fair with how we deal with & are dealt with.

I don't deal in rental properties. I provide a rural garbage service because the services in town don't want to take care of the people who live in the country. I know many of these people rely on when their farm incomes come in and sometimes I have to carry them a few months, but that's OK because they always pay up in the end. But there are people who have the money to pay and don't. That's when you have to be hard. I give people time to pay, but there's always someone who tries to get something for nothing. It's not fair to the paying customers that they should be forced to cover the non payers. I very seldom raise rates because I know some of these people struggle from time to time. I'll agree that sometimes the banks are partly to blame for the current mess, but so is the government. Raising energy cost because someone doesn't like oil or coal doesn't help anyone. High energy cost also lead to high food cost. I don't see any compassion from the government when people are struggling then adding to the cost of living to move the middle class to the working class poor.

Let me guess! You are in the Apartment management and EVICTION business! I have two ex friends who were in that business! One recently went to jail, the other has dissappeared! They could justify everything they stole, "It was owed to them" .

I think that dealing with our customers face to face is a very healthy way to go. That is a good goal for more to practice.
