According to Wikipedia, there have been around 50 predictions of the 2nd Coming from notable individuals since Hippolytus, Sextus Julius Africanus and Irenaeus (early church leaders) predicted the 2nd Coming to occur in 500 AD. Now, Frank J. Tipler is predicting the 2nd Coming to happen in 2057.
For myself, I'm not worrying about when the 2nd Coming will occur. I'm confident that my name is written in the Book of Life and that my soul is safe with Christ. My concern is and will be how I treat my fellow man (of all walks and persuasions) and whether or not I 'walk the talk' regarding my Christiality. The Lord put me here for a purpose. I must try to discern that purpose and live my life as my Heavenly Father wants me to; with the same love and respect that I show toward myself, I show toward Him and my neighbors. Everything else will be taken care of by The Christ upon His arrival, should He come during my lifetime.

Predictions should not be made, as it states, I will come like a thief in the night, how can you predict that? There are things that the Bible state will happen that people will see, but when he comes, that is up to him.
I really like the paragraphs that follow on how to act and to watch ones self, this is very important and I slip a lot, so I'm always speaking with God to assist me, a born sinner.
