right, but I have decided that if I go to my doctor and they start asking personal questions that I deem unnecessary then I leave. I won't play their games. the constitution is clear to me and that law can be dismantled piece by piece

your right, but I think the department of education is also a federal agency and rules over the states. Look up common core. I think it is a national thing.

the department of education is also a state function not federal

I think your right but if they don't teach what the feds want they can lose funding. I think that is what I heard the other night on the news. They were talking about common core. Have you heard any thing about it. I work with a fellow whose kids go to a catholic school and they have to teach the common core or lose funding.

what I meant was the federal gov't isn't supposed to be involved as far as receiving fed money the fed gets it from the state to start with then if the states are good little children they get some of it back the same with hwy funds also I didn't think the fed could give money to private or religious schools you know the liberal seperation

Tried a falvor of Linux years ago, found it to be too large a learning curve plusthesofeware I wanted to use wasn't available for it. 7 and 8 are out for me as I don't care for either. Rolled lap top back from 7 the XP Pro and with the tablet is Android that's still growing up so I'll grow with it.

I think the Linux was Mandrake, I think.

Thanks for your reply!

If you had a secondary drive or another computer to play with, load Linux Mint 15 Cinnamon on it and I'll bet it would take you a microsecond before you're surfing, emailing and able to use the Libre Office Suite. How can I say this? Read on...

I told my wife she should try Linux, especially since she complains constantly about Windows. "No, I hate Linux." I heard this way too many times. Oddly, she never tried it.

One time we were visiting our son and his girlfriend and my wife were using my laptop to surf around for bridesmaid dresses, etc. I let them go for about an hour before I announced, "Gee, I didn't know you two were Linux gurus!"
"Linux? No. I hate Linux" my wife said as if I lost my happy mind. "Why would you say that?"
"You two have been on my laptop and it only has Linux on it! That's right, you two have been surfing and all as if you've always used Linux."
Truth be told, my wife has actually asked for me to install Linux on her laptop.

The reason I recommend Linux Mint is because the learning curve is very short - even for someone who "hates" it like my wife.

The reason I am recommending an old computer or a secondary drive is that way you can play with it without changing your main computer. You can also try a "live" desktop where you boot to the DVD, but nothing is changed on your computer. Once you reboot, it's gone.

Feel free to ignore all of this because I'm an info junkie who is always learning something new/challenging. It is quite possible this is not your cup of tea and that is perfectly fine.

Have an awesome day! 8-)

You might save yourself a lot of trouble if you actually learn about the Constitution.

Are you saying the constitution gives any branch of the federal government the right/power to force the public to buy ANYthing?

As the constitution was originally written there was no amendment to force people to pay an income tax. The only way ObamaCare got by the Supreme Court was for Roberts to rename it as a tax.

Willy-- You have to understand the mindset of the person who wrote you the reply indicating you need to learn the Constitution. In their world, there is the all-knowing, all-powerful and most-benevolent god of Big Government whose edicts are not to be questioned, but rather obeyed without reservation. In their world, there is no such thing as individual liberty, unalienable rights or the ability to acquire property through hard work, setting goals and providing products people want to purchase. After all, such non-conformist thinking only cheats those who have failed at life's lottery. If you took the time to read Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto, you would know their bible comes in two parts much like the Christian Bible, but without all the "mind-warping, anti-gay and misogynist indoctrination".

To answer your question, in the above world, the government can force you to do anything it pleases. If you happen to disagree with Obama's desire to double your health care premiums while rationing care, it only proves you're a racist, right-wing, tea-bagging fanatic -- like me. :-)

Have a pleasant evening and keep smiling - you'll ruin some grouch's day!

No, I am saying the opposite - this used to be a free country before the Democrats became Marxists/Socialists and somehow one such a person was elected to be president.

I pay for my own insurance, I don't have (or need) a 48" color TV and I don't waste my time on overpriced Apple products. And I probably pay more tax INTO the system than you ever will and I want MY tax money spent on improving our retarded healthcare system so that's how I'm voting. If you don't like it you're either going to have to come up with a good argument that will change my mind or just deal with loosing.

I am not a big fan of Government. I do however admire the constitution. And if healthcare were the only issue I probably wouldn't care one way or the other. I have spoken to people from other countries where they have national healthcare. they don't like it.
