Do some serious due diligence on the huge increase in grants to universities to substantiate this scam. Does the phrase publish or perish ring a bell?

AuntiE, do you think the increase in grants to universities for studies related to climate change and global warming might have something to do with the fact that climate change and global warming are only partly understood despite the fact that they represent threats to millions of people across the world ? That's what grants are for.

And, yes, I am familiar with the term "publish or perish."

They have you believing it's a scam. I have news for you, the rise of water is no where near a concern as the rising air temperatures which will kill in many forms and much more quickly.

I don't care to much about people not wanting to think about it, but they shouldn't help prevent changes that are needed. People never worry until it's at their own front door. When there are brown outs and dried up dead crops and dying livestock. Or more devastation in hurricanes, tornadoes and forest fires. Then it will be too late.

Is it OK with you that I also worry about the things you have listed as your concerns ?

No, because you have to spend extra time (for me) worrying about something a majority do not consider in the top ten concerns. :-) :-)

I will add your worry for those items to mine, hence there will be even distribution of worry on all these matters.

Incidentally, just for the record, if you google "global warming" you will still see considerable usage of the term.

Why would I bother. I could give a flip less on the scam.

The air temperature which has not changed to any measurable degree, as agreed to even by global calamity theorists.

Hmm....more devastation from hurricanes, which have dropped, significantly in number and severity. Tornadoes which have, also, become less frequent. Forest fires, at least three of four where found to have been started either intentionally or through carelessness by people.

If you had your way, the EPA would run the country. Do you have so little self sufficiency you need the EPA and the plutocrats in Washington to hold your hand and guide you, and the rest of us, through life?

A quick glance at that picture says that hole was not caused by heat. If the oceans were holding heat, the water would rise to the top, just like hot air rises. AGW is a scam, it always was.

Frankly, I do not give a pinch of spite about either term or the issue. Further, poll after poll shows the majority of people (world wide) do not even rank the issue in their top ten concerns.

Yesterday, I made an offer to another individual. The same is applicable today for you. You worry for both of us about this scam, and I will continue worrying about mundane things like education, taxes, the steep increase in my health insurance premiums, the steep increase in my deductibles in my health insurance, nemployment and such.

No one is denying the earth's own cycles and presently we are in a fifteen year cooling cycle but to deny the effects of an made collective input, is also denying our accountability to what we are adding to the environment.

We have one planet. Which is our life, why mess with it, we need to be responsible. My self sufficiency does not span throughout the US nor the world, and I am not an industry. That was a poor personal attack and a poor argument on simple accountability, which to object to is really quite illogical.

When this cooling trend is over is when we will really be in trouble.

Man's activities have no influence on climate. AGW is a scam, and always was. Read "Dark Winter" by John L. Casey. It's the most common sense publication on this subject I have seen.

Spare us the sanctimonious "smarter than you" crap.

Today's "forecasters" can't tell us with accuracy what will happen next week, let alone 25 years out, and that isn't physics you simple sap.

I measure sea level every day. I'm a flood plane manager. Sea level hasn't risen at all 25 years I've been watching. For one to state that it has means they disagee with NGS-USGS and NOAA.

Surely there are folks within those agencies that are smarter than you.

I am not the one who started out with the personal insults, I have not been condescending until someone began that with me. I'm also not pretending to be smarter than anyone here, I'm trying to have a civil debate which is always a challenge when speaking with people from the right especially when they begin to lose their stance and the insults start to fly just like yourself.

Your correct about the local weather forecaster, but that is not what we are discussing is it. All I did was put up information that I had found which seems to disagree with others opinion here on the increase of rising temperatures.

I am assuming the professionals collecting this research are better at their job than I, I would sure hope so, that is why I used it. :thumbup:

Why don't you take a knee and calm down it's a simple conversation.

Simple physics is not the problem. The problem is discerning between science, pseudo-science, charlatanism, and outright lies.

Good point Art...."simple physics".... simple physics dictates if you require oxygen to live and you reduce its production from harvesting or pollution.... etc.... And increase the amount of oxygen consumed through the burning process ... those who need oxygen to survive will eventually loose.... Hot VS cold... low tide VS high is all BS.... go run your car in a closed garage and see how long you last.... now put a car in everyone on the planets hands.... its just a time equation .... if the average internal combustion engine converts good air into bad air @ the rate of 250 cfm... just do the math

Ahhh someone who understands, exactly right E
   We do not live in an unlimited amount of air space, where all the pollution just floats away into outer space. We literally live in an air bubble created by our ozone, where the ozone layer protects us it also prevents pollution fro exiting our environment, hence we have to be the ones to take care of our air.
You are exactly right to simply do the math.
