BearK, MrEd was talking about Franklin D. Roosevelt not Teddy Roosevelt. IMO, Teddy Roosevelt was one of the finer Presidents we have ever had. We need someone like him now to bring our country out of the shambles that the current vacationer in chief has put us into.

Thank you everyone for your kind words of welcome. It looks like I am in the great company of patriots who have demonstrated the true concepts of American liberty and freedom. I will not fire the first bullet but will continue to use the ballot until direct action against our citizens requires otherwise. I will not accept bullets thrown at me without return fire, and I have proven my accuracy. I understand that Obummer wishes to rid himself of those with combat experience but those of us have a surprise for him. We have had the experience needed to survive, escape, evade, and destroy the enemy and our oath of enlistment, commission, and citizenship specifically state "..enemies, PUBLIC and private..." I am still bound by those five repetitions of that oath and the unmentioned end of that oath is ---until my death.

Mr ED is right, of course. My comment about Obummer was more on the order of Obastard has blatantly and openly thrust true full socialism on us, the others just slid socialist concepts in under our collective noses with acceptable words and ideas of improvement palatable to our senses. Trickery and chicanery in the most covert way. The others have placed those ideas into the mix to be blended into our society as a whole, but they were just flavoring, this president has placed the largest ingredient yet to the point that it is close to half the mix. A little tweaking and our societal mix will be more socialism than what our founders gave us. If history has taught us anything it is that socialism, communism, National Socialism (Nazi) and its kith and kin are a failure. They rise for a short time in their true, pure form then die. Only those governments that make the people a part of it live a long and prosperous life (like the US and its 200+ years of success). Our people fight for our system, not our government. That is why we have won the various wars. It is our government, not our system of government that has caused us to leave a winning war to allow the enemy to win by default. It is those who want to take from the system and not give to it, to sit ideally by and select those who will promise them more for less contribution that have driven this country into the position it now sits.

We sit here right now in the position of the colonists, among the various ills under which they suffered were taxation without representation, draconian laws passed by those who did not know how the colonists lived, and , frankly, did not care, they only viewed them as income for the government At the present time our taxes are passed by politicians cloistered within the belt-way of Washington D.C., only "visiting" the people they supposedly represent and not really cognizant of the way people they represent are living. They only view them as an income source for the government. Also look at the draconian laws passed which take away the freedoms the founders wrote into the first ten amendments of our constitution. How much more of a parallel can there be?

Well, I could write more but I believe this is enough to get a discussion started.

You do some more reading about Teddy, he too was socialist minded, but FDR was far worse.

Even a Jackass, with a lot of braying, would be a better pres than what we have. Everything about him, that the half-wit media touts, is a lie. Without lies, that man? wouldn't know what to say.
