2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Who controls your thought life
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
The mustard seed is so very tiny, but it grows into a very large plant. An idea can start out as just a fleeting thought, but it can grow into a consuming obsession. Do you have a stronghold that holds you back from being the most you can be, or does it push you to be overbearing in your desire to succeed? Strongholds can work in so many ways, and have a serious affect on our actions. It can make you afraid to even leave your house, or give you evil thoughts of desire.
How do you beat a stronghold, you have to know who you are allowing to control your thought life, you have to be in the Word, you have to share it with God. When a thought enters your mind, it is important that you know His Word to determine if you should continue down that path or reject it. When you refuse to entertain a wrong thought, you are in control. Never hesitate to plead the blood of Jesus over you. It can be too late if you let a thought run its course, it can become a consuming fire, recognize it, control it, He will give you the tools.

Take Thou Our Minds, Dear Lord1 Take Thou our minds, dear Lord, we humbly pray,
Give us the mind of Christ each passing day;
Teach us to know the truth that sets us free;
Grant us in all our thoughts to honor Thee.
2 Take Thou our hearts, O Christ, they are Thine own;
Come Thou within our souls and claim Thy throne;
Help us to shed abroad Thy deathless love;
Use us to make the earth like heaven above.
3 Take Thou our wills, Most High! Hold Thou full sway;
Have in our inmost souls Thy perfect way;
Guard Thou each sacred hour from selfish ease;
Guide Thou our ordered lives as Thou dost please.
4 Take Thou ourselves, O Lord, heart, mind, and will;
Through our surrendered souls Thy plans fulfill.
We yield ourselves to Theetime, talents, all;
We hear, and henceforth heed, Thy sovereign call.
