Why? I'm not so unhappy that my life revolves around complaining, whining, and sniveling about the big bad government coming to git my guns, take ma money, give it to lazy people who are on the welfare.
Small wonder that depression is on the rise, conservatard teabags suffer from terminal angst and envy.
I am just offering helpful advice to the miserable. If you hate it here so much, check out, or leave, your choice.

Too bad you can't see past your radioactive hostility to address what Mr Bojester put in front of you. While I cannot condone his provocative tone
he made a good point. You are just unable to answer the question...ever.

Peaver, I know your bike. My brother had a classic 650 yamaha as well. A couple months before my brother was diagnosed and died from cancer, we took him and his wife to Gatlinburg, TN. for a few days. Needless to say, we hauled our bikes up with us and rode all the beautiful backroads and parkways. There's nothing like going thru those mountains, with cool temps, fresh pine smell along the routes, and occasional cold rain drops. We even got to see bears in the park that connects Tennessee and North Carolina. It's called the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. I don't know if you've heard of or been to Gatlinburg, but it's a must in early fall or middle spring. You will go back time after time because it's beautiful and atmospheric. It's a vacation you'll never forget. The Blue Ridge is just as beautiful. Well, happy and safe riding, Peaver. It's always nice to talk to another biker...even thru email.

I think you have me mixed up with someone else. I don't own a Yamaha, I have a 93 Heritage Classic.

You show no evidence to support your claim. An opinion is not a statistic.
Even if their ratings are high I would suggest that is more because people just love to watch a good fight and there is always some cantankerous coot leaving spittle on the microphone to provide a short burst of entertainment. I occasionally watch Fox just to see if there are any signs of a change (elevation) in temperament but it's difficult not to notice the preponderance of
well..angry white people. Hardly anybody smiles and any time the President or the "this administration" is mentioned which is to say roughly every third sentence it is always framed in the most negative light. I have never, ever heard Fox report anything positive about about the first family. You get the impression they even hate his toothbrush. I recall the interview of the President by Brett Baier. Baier came across as personally angry, almost like he was about to lunge out of his chair at Obama. I am all for vigorous confrontation of public figures but a professional journalist keeps his personal inclinations in check. Fox is an entertainment and reality channel and in the interests of truth in advertising they should present themselves as such.
Pandering to the baying hounds on either side of the political divide while it may get ratings does not qualify you to be a legitimate news show.
A change of name to "Fox Opinions" would be closer to reality.

It's really hard to debate someone who has an excuse for every fact you present. Ratings speak for themselves!

Eden, Fox is not the be-all and end-all, but MSNBC, NBC, CBS, & ABC definitely reflect distorted liberal dogma without the blink of an eye. Just note that a true Independent Conservative does not indiscriminately buy the brash O'Reilly line as the man is full of himself.

The all Obama 24 Hour Hate Channel didn't seem to do the GOP much good in two elections. So much for the value of ratings. What the political right just does not seem to comprehend that spitting nails at the Prez every day just makes his supporters circle the wagons and most of all attracts sympathetic independents who feel the attacks against him are vicious slanderous fabrications and that he is being unfairly treated. Whether that is correct or not is irrelevant. That is the perception out there on the street. If you live in the insular fear drenched world of Alex Jones, Genn Beck, Rush et al you will never stop to think about real alternatives to the current corrupt paradigm that the American political system has become with it's Lobbyists, congressmen/senators-for-hire-or-sale, and Corporations-are-people-too laws.

News channels aren't suppose to sway elections, their suppose to report news, all the news and let you deside. First you attack a channel you don't like then you mix in radio, in other words anything that might be against Obama's line of thinking. What a bland world you would have us live in.

Also with John McCain in 2008 the people were voting for the lesser of two evils and were not fully supportive of Karl Rove and the GOP establishment. They threw in Sarah Palin as bone for the real conservatives and it wasn't near what the conservatives had in mind. Rove is a RINO and wants to have his candidates be middle of the road. McCain was almost as far left as Obama in that election. In 2012 Romney was another middle of the roader and the conservatives were again disappointed by Roves selection. A good number didn't vote based on their dislike of Romney which was again a lesser of two evils vote. I do not believe the news channels had anything to do with Obamas victory it was the GOP establishments choice for a candidate that destroyed their chances.

Hard core conservatives need to losen up a bit, this country is more middle of the road. Because of their nonthinking they helped elect a leftist of the left, LordI hope their paying attention. Obama is the perfect example of someone trying to go into business with zero experience, thinking just throw money at it and it will be a hit. Major problem with that, it's tax payer money that he's throwing around. The main stream media attacked Palin like she would br president and at the same time didn't bother with Joe's gafs.
