People should be able to declare each other, "Next of Kin". There is no need to mess with marriage, an instinct that predates even government. This "gay marriage" thing is pushed by leftist totalitarians seeking to destroy the institution of marriage. Marriage is a buffer between the government and the child. The Liberals want to deny parents the right to control the education of their own children. Parents who don't want stupid children keep their kids out of the government schools. A non-thinking, low imformation voter is the result of a government education.

Actually, it wasn't those in power who made homosexuality a no-no. It was homosexuals. Without modern medicine, homosexuality was a death sentence... even with modern medicine it can still be.

Most gays are anything but, they seem to be pretty depressed as a rule, with higher suicide rates than the normal population. Their relationships such as they are seem to disproportionatly center around public toilets.

No faded red. Sodomy (hetero nor homo) is not a crime in any of the 50 states. Laws against sodomy were overturned by the Supreme Court in 2003.
